Disassembling and cleaning the bolt of cosmoline is essential with these. They come as caked as Mosins straight from a crate.

One should ALWAYS take a solvent saturated bronze Toothbrush to the firing pin channel, as the cosmoline can become hard and slow down the FP just enough to cause a light strike-Don't ask me how I know. As you mentioned , there could be solidified Cosmoline in the bolt also. I would soak the bolt for a week and then blow dry with compressed air before reassembling-John in Texas

That's probably a firing pin spring issue. I had the same problem with mine. Got new spring for it, fires perfectly now.

I've shot a 3 shot sub1" group at 100 yards with Turk milsurp 8mm. Why I have three of them and 2 cases of vintage Turk 8 x 57mm:)-John in Texas

That cleaning rod was a bit excited during the accuracy test

Got the same style Turkish 1893 refurbed in 1933 to 8mm and had similar issues with bolt. I ended up boiling it for 4-5 minutes just to much cosmoline/crude/carbon to deal with soaking in gasoline and kerosene assisted, however over all boiling it did so much better. and YES it does kick out some nice groups over all for a almost 100 year old WWI/WWII work horse. Awesome video.

A taller front sight post will lower the point of impact. It dosent take much.

The problem with many turk mauser bolts is that they would cycle bolt to check clear and didnt decock it. I have an Ankara 1941 large ring and it did the same. I replaced pin and spring and now it even hammer thru stubborn greek primers

That 93 barrel will fit on that 38 Turk with a little fitting.

Really nice video! I have a '41 K Kale that I got for 1 1/2 bones in perfect condition and mirror bore is simply amazing. It puts them where you want and not ever a hiccup with the Turk hot rounds. Love this rifle! With my older eyes I added a scout scope and it a laser. I have always liked the 8mm and this rifle is one of the big reasons why. I picked up a Turkish bolo bayo for it also.

You could be having problems with Mach Gun ammo.None of it was close to SAM specks.

If you put a taller front barleycorn on that will bring that muzzel down.
