I really loved being able to have commonality in hockey. I think this is so important how much as an American I respect Canada's game but I cherish how it is now a world 🌎 game. As a hockey world we need to appreciate how so many special players we've got to see and some of us just read about who are solidified as legends from so many different backgrounds and cultures. For me personally the coolest thing about hockey is that it truly is one of the greatest full contact true team sports. Everyone can score everyone knows the offense everyone has a defensive responsibility and most of all we stand up for our own team but we shake hands at the end with the enemy.

Well said. I cannot imagine that the U.S. nationwide will ever match Canada's passion for hockey, but there are pockets of hockey fanatics in the U.S., such as New England, where I live. (In the last week, both of my brothers have been at local rinks with their sons for 6:00 AM games or practices.) We were introduced to hockey by French-Canadian immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and the game reached a wider audience thanks to a certain Robert G. Orr.
