How to Control A Robot with An N64 Controller

  • RobBob is a small little Robot with a lot of personality. Whether you're animating him through the control knobs or servo motors, you can get RobBob to move with 2 degrees of freedom.
This motion is achieved by transferring the power from the knobs to the bevel gears. Turning the rotation knob rotates RobBob's head, while moving both knobs together adjusts the pitch of the head forward and backward.
You can take this project a step forward by adding a couple small servo motors and an arduino board. Take it a step further still by getting everything to work with an N64 controller. Please note that removing the cartridge and blowing on it will not automatically fix any programming issues.
if you want to print your own you can download the files (for free) from here:

This link explains a little more about the project and has the code to make it run with an N64 controller:

These are the motors I used: amzn.to/3cKBsqK
    This is the Arduino: amzn.to/3l3NtMg

My N64 controllers keeps giving values of 85 and 90. I tried 3 different ones and I had the same issue. Would you happen to know if there is a way to fix this?

I have 4- prusa mk3, ender 3 v2, anycubic mega, and a taz pro- i recommend the prusa if you’re willing to spend more, or the ender 3 because there is a huge community surrounding them. Good luck!

Love the Uno's myself perfect for most projects, maybe he just wants you using an esp8266 board so he can control it himself online 😁
