Do u know why I’m soo stiff while still doing those stretches especially for the seated split I can’t even do a normal split I feel my quads and hamstrings help me fix this please

Can u do this before playing football to feel more explosive and athletic or is it only for recovery?
Probably not before playing, I recommend doing these long, static stretches after playing!!
