Xzavian Pastor It’s best to not swim at all..you keep yourself afloat in one spot and conserve your energy. If she would have swam she would have most likely drowned in that hour. She’s extremely lucky.
It took over 2 hours for rescuers to come for the passengers of the titanic back in 1912. There were 2 ships close by but they ignored emergency flares and calls for help. Over 300 bodies were pulled from 28 degree water in a pitch black sea.

Sharks wouldnt get you in that situation, the ships engines and massive size would scare off any predators. Its drowning or hypothermia which would kill you.

The ocean was only several degrees above freezing, you don't last more than 15 minutes at those temperatures. On top of that alcohol causes your blood vessels to rise to the surface, causing you to lose bodyheat even more rapidly, exactly the reason why you don't offer strong liquour to people with hypothermia (unlike the myth suggests).

Trenton Ulrick I’m not sure on the exact number, but I was on the cruise with Sarah Kirby. It was Carnival Destiny. It took them a while to find her and we watched from the deck. It also takes a while to stop a large cruise line and turn it around.

Then they compared her to the other girl who was in the water for 90 minutes after falling off the ship hitting a life boat and being battered on the way down. they then spoke again about how long she was in the water but instead of saying 90 minutes they rounded and said 2 hours
