    Just fitted front two donuts yesterday, so far so good. Grip is good, esp on rainy days. Price is affordable and competitive too.

    Would like to know how does TR1 fare compared to Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 which was the control tires for Saga cup previously, I guess.
    Also when it’s compared to Michelin PS3!

      TR1 for me,
      less grip in the dry, when comparing to RE003, (less contact patch)
      but, massive confidence in the wet,
      drove fast while raining on the highway, never get aquaplaned, not even once

    • @djan12
      @djan12  Před 4 lety +1

    • @MG3R
      @MG3R Před 4 lety +1

      @@djan12 we get some (wet performance), we lose some (dry performance), given its pricepoint and targeted consumer range, credits should be given to TOYO this time round.
      I've used to hear alot negatives about TOYO (that TOYO made in malaysia are garbage) this TR1 clears those doubts.

    Awesome review, I have spent ages trying to find the right tyres for my 86, this really helps out a lot and I’ll go with the TR1 now. Just one question, what psi are you running on these tyres? I heard they can be poor on track with low psi.

    • @djan12
      @djan12  Před 4 lety +2

      Tim Tong they are relatively good for the price. Try running the stock tire pressure first then maybe go down by 2psi for track use. Sidewall is not the strongest hence why higher pressure to help with steering response

    Are you still happy with the tyres? How many km/miles you done with them now?

    • @djan12
      @djan12  Před 4 lety

      Magnus Danielsson hmmm probably 5,000km. Honestly i find tire noise slightly on the higher side as they wear down, dry grip could be better. Its progressive but lacks grip at the limit. Nothing bad but i would like more from it. wet grip is fine

      @magnusdanielsson2749 Před 4 lety

      Tengku Djan Ley thank you. Im fitting them on a Pontiac Fiero. Only 140 hp so it sounds like it might be a good level of grip for what Ill use it for.
      These are about the only tyres Ive found in r15 and the width/profile I need.
      Except fir very expensive R-tyres of course.
