I knew I read wrong when I thought I saw "john petrucci"
Met Victor Bailey at Berklee in 1979.
He was playing in a band with Steve Vai. Band had a unique sound. Victor with his Philadelphia and in the pocket style. Steve with his Rock / jazz Jimi Hendrix tones. Their band warmed up for another band with Lauren Lehman on guitar. Victor was a serious musician as we all know. A kind man and he always told me that his best friend was drummer Poogie Bell. I had the pleasure of keeping in touch with Victor when he would be on tour with various bands. Anytime he was on tour I took him out to dinner. At Berklee in 1979 he came to my dorm room upstairs on Boyston Street. He brought his bass, I had mine we plugged into an amp and went at it. He kicked my butt. For years I wanted to get him back I would practice, practice. Never had the chance. My man Vic - RIP.
It was risky: creative concentration of such perfect bassist in one place could result in implosion of the universe.
It's astonishing to me how they both keep their signature tones even on the double bass😎... This is a parallel universe...
2 victor and 2 bailey .. oh man that just awesome
I liked the bit where Victor Bailey played.
Siempre tuve una especial admiración por John Pattituci
Sounds Patitucci on the double bass is very clean. He is great double bass player
R.I.P Victor Bailey
I was there!! Probably one of the best shows I have ever attended
i must admit that Victor Bailey did great job with his great solo part. He has best ears and attitude there❤️
Rip Maestro , World miss You❤️❤️

It's amazing how much clarity they have in their playing... Some of my favorite bass players here!! wooo
Absolutely incredible, three of my favorite bass players together on stage, hope to see more of this awesome concert!
Fabulous! And may God bless brushes on drums - love it.
Good on those electric bass players for jumping on the doubles and doing a bit of bling, but Patitucci is just next level!
First time I see Victor Wooten playing a double bass!
It’s beautiful. I’ve looked at this for 5 hours now
Conclusive proof that you can never have enough bass...amazing work
I can’t believe I found this, I went there when I was 13 and this concert changed my life. Amazing to see all this bass skill
It's so jazzily funky
Love it!!
Victor Bailey R.I.P. 🙏🏻💕

Victor Wooten is a splendid master!
I was in attendance, awesome doesn't even describe the event.
The joy of playing with someone you respect

Beautiful...Paulo from BRASIL.
Una música que endulza el oído, ignotiza esta música en el mejor de los sentidos por supuesto. 👍👍
Fantastic
Ii was there. All of those guys are insane
Talents!
Now this is really tastefully good, best thing I've listened to in a long time. I play upright bass and electric. Hearing several upright basses together is a mind opener for me. Tone, tone and more tone.
Tone is what I like, not volume, not rhythm, not fast playing, not arpeggios. I do like a good feeling bass solo. But in the end for me it's the tone that makes me love the upright bass!
And this is why I love the bass...
this is funky
what a vibe
Super!!!
Bass is so cool
qué buena!
So clever with the electric bass. Plucking with the rhythm so sick
john petrucci lol i came for that , by the way nice piece of music, great talent.
What's wrong with Steve Bailey's arm at 2:52 ?!!!
Thank you Jaco for all the. givn.
all star band
Bravo
Love Steve's Ornithology reference at 3:14, even though he missed a note. Haha.
at first i thought it said john patrucci and i flipped my lid and clicked on this
sounds like a cup of coffee would if it were music. excellent.
Yes. Bass.
I was behind the stage right wing curtain throughout this concert. Most memorable!!!
Victor Wooten's smile says: "Hyuk hyuk"
my oh my, you couldn't have asked for a better tribute.
maestros

Wow
8/10. Needs more basses
R.I.P. to the greatest Victor Bailey
Jhon Patitucci is the best...like Bass...like Musician.
Amazing, But it also looks hilarious them shredding on huge basses haha!
Rip Victor Bailey
wow
love steve bailey's solo at 3:30..
victor is playing a 1/2 steve a 3/4 and john a 4/4????
Question: In addition to your own, who's skills would you rather possess?
I readed "John Petrucci" lol
i "readed" your bad grammar
TheBBQify English is probably not his native language so don't pick on him.
Wooten puro dando jugo en el contrabajo
Victor Wooten on upright bass... the sound, the groove immediatly... just ridiculous
Asombroso!

Does anyone know the name of the song they're playing? It seems to be the same with the one Wooten plays in a short video where he tests his doublebass, but I can't find the name... Anybody help?
Some funky ass mofos right there!!!
RIP vicotr bailey.
Patitucci boss of contrabass
Is there a full videoof this performance anywhere?
You can tell Victor is a fan of John
Steve has played so much fretless he has tendon lumps in his forearm like a pro armwrestler
Is that a half-size bass Vic is playing?
I never knew that wooten played standup, then again, that doesn't surprise me, considering its wooten were talking about xD
bass gang
Like the Sesame Street song: One of these doesn't belong...
Just here out of curiosity as to what a double bass would sound like when it was played in jazz music.
No alex webster?
i wanna learn there (Berklee )🙄
who unlikes this??
★★★★★★★★★★★
and ladies and gentleman
Kanye West on drums ..
Does anyone know the song name?
What a Bass Solo!!! Oh No No No No No!!!!!!!
What size use Wooten? Someone answer me, please?
Rip Victor
John is definitely the best musician on the stage
What a solid backup from Victor Wooten!!!
that groove he played doesn't need drum...
Dont people like changes anymore
A lil Charlie Parker at 3:14 😀
Anyone know the drummers name?
Notice that John and Steve are using a standard DB plucking technique, while Vic is basically using a electric bass technique to pluck the string. Guess Mr. Wooten is human after all...
Which pixle is John petrucci?
what song is this
