You know it's a good double bass player when you can hear what their part over the orchestra :) In all seriousness, though, this was absolutely fantastic. You played with so much emotion and power. Truly beautiful; great job!

This is, without a doubt, an absolutely astounding performance! I think it's been love at first sound for me with hearing this composition. Not to mention, this double bassist Marc André, is sheer brilliance personified. I genuinely think we have the next Edgar Meyer here. I look forward to hearing more of his recordings. Bravo to the orchstra as well on a phenomenal job.

Having listened to the recording, I can gladly confirm that my somewhat mixed feelings during the live performance were indeed down to the less than ideal acoustics in that hall. This recording does your wonderful playing a lot more justice than this awkward hall did. Congratulations again. 👏👏👏

Such a beautiful piece!! Love the sensitive articulation; it's always amazed me how such delicate sounds could be drawn out from those thick strings! Can't wait to see what other pieces you'll be playing in the future!

The bass instrument, which started in March 2023, at the age of 55, is a big, hard, but encouraging performance. It's a perfect harmony with the orchestra.

I commend him in his bow choice. When I played double bass in my middle and high school orchestra I never once cared for that style, I felt as though I reallyyyyyy had to reach to truly utilize it. Although I will say I didn’t get the luxury of sitting lol
