Hey guys sorry I was wrong about the Sugar Cane growing 6X faster, (Didnt realize minecraft fandom was basically Wikipedia)
I misread it and it actually is 6X more common to find sugar cane in dessert biomes and 2X in swamps.
Sorry about that!
I have a question
Do i have to be AFK near the farm for it to still work?
@@HozaifaM yes! Or you can build it in your seeds starting spawn chunk (stays rendered 24/7) and it will always be active
@@RealJayden thx dude
Thank god I read this on time.. I really wanted to build this in my base but because you said that I was already getting ready to move 1500 something blocks everytime i wanted to farm my sugar canes lmao
Lol
If anyone gets confused with the redstone part, when he places the “compactor” it’s not actually a compactor, its a repeater
Thanks for that info bro helped me after 2 hours 😭
@@jake_m_d7823 that sucks, and no problem
thx i was confused
Thanks I was about to use a comparator
I broke my portal to the roof and now I have to redo everything
For those wanting to make the farm more efficient, you should use mud instead of dirt/sand and put hoppers underneath connecting to the middle hopper. This way you don't lose any sugar cane and get the best results. The mud isn't a full block so the items can go through it and into the hopper. It's more expensive, but worth it if you want to collect that extra sugar cane.
Really?
Yes
@@unknownwolf7958 I was stupid typing the below comment. I was watching several guides. If you have a rail, leave out the water to push things. Reason being that sugar cane above the piston will not get pushed and land on the block it grows on. do this farm, but with the minecart running under the dirt you grow the sugarcane on. and fence it completely in. then the only way to make it more efficient (without being complicated) is to place observers on EVERY 3rd level on sugarcane. so that if ANY grow to 3 high the system gets triggered.
Leaving my original here, just so you see what I thought and where I went wrong.
"Yes, but since the sugar cane can only land on the block it is growing and a hopper minecraft is able to pick up through a solid block, it would actually just cost more and not be more efficient. that is solid advice when you build a farm which relies on the pistons pushing the sugar cane into a water stream though!"
yo thanks bro
how does mud help?
as someone who only ever dabbles in minecraft this was a massive help for the server I'm on. Video was easy to follow and clearly defined what needed to happen. Dunno if you take requests but would love to see how to make an auto-nether wart farm.
Auto nether wart farms cant be done atm i believe since there is no way to auto place them, but I can see about making an efficient farm for it that makes it super easy to place
@@RealJayden Huh, well thank you.
Thank you you just got a new subscriber
It’s 4AM right now so in a bit I’ll try this
Great tutorial, clear instructions and the farm was easy to build! I made 5 of these in my base and they're working out great.
Glad I could help!
Separate or stacked on each other?
@@thesonofashepherd6910 Separate, it was too hard for me to stack them
doesn’t work for me
How much sugar cane do you get in a day?
thanks for the farm!
I like how you designed it I did have to watch another video because I did not know how to put stairs upside down but other than that it was pretty good
To put stairs upside down place it on the top half of a block
Good tutorial! I will say though that where you say to use a comparator, you actually need to use a repeater. besides that, nice and simple. i wish you well on your youtube journey
Thanks for the tip!
i was just gonna say that
Hey man, I’m just wandering why is my sugar cane not being broken automatically? Just wondering if you have the same problem
@@repoint9462 probably has to do with the direction your motion sensor block is facing. Also make sure your redstone dust is working properly. I like to test using buttons
@@repoint9462 I have the exact same issue
This video is so clear and good! adsolutely subscibe!
Do i need to use that blocks or Can i use Andy i want?
does not work i dont understand why
same
@@scoutman372 yeah right
Yeah It doesn’t
why? mine works completely fine
Can you use other blocks then bricks such as dirt?
Idk if it’s different for bedrock but you don’t actually need a repeater I tested it on my iPad lmao
Can I get a written list of the materials? I'm trying to mine for them as I watch the video.
in the beginning around 0:20 when you show what items to use, in the chest, it’s super blurry on mobile (lol i know, mobile is bad) but i can’t see what the items are at all. could you put the list in the description or something by any chance??
otherwise great vid thank u!
I'm on computor and it's just as blurry
19 pcs of redstone dust, redstone repeater, piston, furnace, 16pcs of sugarcane, 17pcs of sand, 2 buckets of water, hopper, 2 chests, stone brick stairs, 64 +32 stone bricks, 34 pcs ofglass
@@ceipva. thank you sm 💕
Do I need to use a red stone torch to activate it
finally, a 1.20 farm that doesn't demand bonemeal. thank you.
NP!
what kind of sugarcane farm demands bonemeal
@@jimkmma2465 a sugarrcane bonemeal farm
@@heyitzzitro you do realise sugarcane cannot be bonemealed right
@@jimkmma2465 it can be on bedrock js not java
Is this the most efficient? Is it just the most simple while being a decently efficient sugarcane farm? I believe there are far more efficient designs, most of them are just insane to build. Thanks for the tutorial! Will be building in my survival server.
The thing about sugar cane is that making it more effective would only be running a hopper cart underneath to catch and sugar cane that may fall on the sand. Otherwise this farm is the most efficient, and it’s easily expandable up and out
@@RealJayden oh ok thanks for the explanation.
Im needing the farms so i can make books 😅
That sugar cane growth thing is wrong. It *spawns* 6 times more often in desert, it doesn't grow faster
yeah the video had so many errors lol I made it far from my base before I noticed smh my head.
@@Sheir01smh means shaking my head so just say smh
@@Poikee2 r/woosh
Not sure if this was addressed, and it's probably not a huge deal. But in the Video you said "grab your redstone Comparator", and I believe you meant "Redstone Repeater" as that's what you placed down.
i made a whole comparator because of this D: !!!
does it need a redstone torch?
yes
I stacked 3 on top of each other and it's over powered
What are the resources you need
do you have a creeper farm tourtorial
I built this on dirt and it doesn't grow though. I don't know why.
Legend
wait do you have to make a creeper farm
the suger cane gets tuck wher is the sand what shoud i do abought that
Wait so how does this actually work, I built the farm and nothings happening so I need. A lever or something
no, its automatic. the observer detects the 3rd block of sugarcane and the pistons are activated and destroys sugarcane
@@UDTER3N no, that does not work
@@wafflebread876 ok
is it a compareter or repeater because it wasnt working with the repeater but thaats what u placed in the vid
Does the sugarcane need sunlight ?
The pistons are not moving😢 unless i switch a lever pls tell me what i did wrong
The observer is the wrong way
thank you its too eazy
most of my sugarcane is landing on the same block its placed on, its really affecting my output
Use mud block instead
👍thanks bro
No problem 👍
Its a great farm amazing even but one slight flaw is some of the sugar cane can get stuck on the sand so it doesn't drop in the water
someone said put mud and hoppers underneath,, so they got collected all
@@rk-4737 how to make mudd???
@@iiconicdarknightyt5453 get water bottle which is craft from 3 glass like a bucket and right click dirt and it turns into mud

Can this be expanded?
can you use this also for bamboo?
Probably
yes
I noticed the extra orange sand? Was that intended to be double sided?
it marks the area
does anyone know why the far right sugar can doesnt grow?
It's a good farm, but there's 1 problem. I went to get the loot, and like half of the sugar cane was on the sand where it grew, instead of falling in the water
Well I guess it's not for Pocket edition it's for bedrock or Java edition any one of them
Use mud and place hoppers there too since mud is classified as a full block
@@bruzex69 bro Minecraft bedrock edition is : pocket edition, win 10, xbox, ps5....
It's this work in bedrock edition??
Mine isn’t working the observer won’t activate
What more efficient a repeater or a comparator
Use a repeater, I accidentally said comparator
Why is pistons not working
I build this farm same and its not working
How do i make tge farm work?
I uses red sand to grow it fast.
im so lost the pistons dont go off unless I put a redstone torch down and break it? How is it supposed to work u didnt use anything to activate the redstone
same im deadass confuised
Fr
Are this work on java?
Is it automatic ?
Wait does it actually grow faster in the desert, I can’t find any evidence on CZcams of this
Yeah me neither
It doesn't
Hey why is my pistons not working
pick the worst possible background music human kind has ever seen challenge: complete
So how r u meant to get it to work when there is no red stone block or torch to make it work
Any block
When the observer activates the red stone will turn on
But when ?
@cazaaa74.

For some reason it doesn't work, did you record this video on java or bedrock?
java
Hey man my sugarcane grows but it dont cut automatically we have to manulally on the system can you tell me why is it not working
You have to turn the observer the opposite way add 2 blocks behind add another observer looking into the first one you just flipped around then connect the redstone and it shall work
@@bigsthelegend9879 i did it it cut when the first one grows if the first one doesnt grow and othwr do it doesnt cut it should i place observers above all pistons
@@THEPRIMV instead of the comparator like he said, use a repeater
@@devinsucksatlife49 thanks matr
Its grown 3 blocks high and the observer wont do its thing
Does it break by its self or like how does it break it sugar cane grew but it don’t break
Ye same
yall found a solution ??? im on bedrock n STRUGGLING cause this farm aint workin
@Bando710_ the sugar cane right infronts of the detector is what makes it brake, once that one grows right next to the piston (3 blocks tall) it will signal to all the other pistons and break it, if it's not working u did sum wrong cuz I'm on bedrock and if work fine
@@Jeff-rm3ry dude thanks for explaining this to me, it was working i just was too dumb to think od that lol, i instead just remade a one block version of it which works WAY better than this (no hate to this creator), u get stacks in literally 30 seconds
@@Bando710_can you tell me who cuz I’m struggling rn 😭
why is the pistons not pushing
Place a block on the backside of the piston
I know why
Hu
My sugarcane farm dosent work
For anyone saying it doesnt work its because the Sugar cane has to grow 3blocks tall
I have been waiting but there are still nothing in the chest
yo can someone help me, i built to sugar cane farm correctly but the pistions aren't pushing and breaking the sugar cane.
cuz observer only connects with one block in front of it i dont know how that farm was supposed to work
@@big-floppa_enjoyer Very simple right? the redstone connects all the pistons to do the same thing. so every time when the sugar cane block in front of the observer reaches 3 high all pistons will shoot out and chop all the sugar cane off.
Thats beacuse its a farm for java, there a thing called quasi-connectivity and its where the pistons can connect to redstone a block above or diagonal to it
For anyone confused about the pistons, it only observes the space in front of it, meaning the pistons only go off once there are three sugarcane in front of the observer
Should the water be on the hopper or no?
No
No
Anyone wondering why it isnt working its because he didn't place a redstone torch behind the observer
can you help me the sugar cane stays in the hopper and doesnt go to the chest
he forgot to place the redstone torch to activate it.... im not sure where to put it either
nevermind mine works... you missed a step
When you place your hopper you want to crouch and click on the chest to make sure that it’s connected
My pistons aren’t cutting down the sugarcane. Anyone know why?
put the red stone on top of the pistons instead on top of the block cause red stone doesn’t travel through blocks on bedrock
@@topher7716thank you so much
I can’t place the sugar cane on the right side after the block
It only does the signal when the sugarcane next to the observer grows
fix?
that's literally how it should work
It don’t work on bed rock do u know why
Redstone has to be on the PISTONS, for some reason it wont go through blocks...
but mine wont stop going off.
How do i turn on the farm ? Can anybody teach ne
Blud it’s automatic
Some of the sugar cane stays on the sand when harvested
Why doesn’t it work for me??
Will it work for me?
I placed the water but it only went 3 blocks
how much per hr?
28 lol
Does this still work in 1.21?
yes! But I have a new video here for 1.21 thats a little better -> czcams.com/video/HJTBU8dQ6sI/video.html
It didn't work pls help
Jayden my sugar cane is growing but it is just not cutting it please can you help me
he messed up the red stone lmao just go look at a similar video tbh this dude is coked up from the sounds of it
Doesn’t work
I subed.
Design doesn’t work on bedrock. Ignore the observer on the side and place them on top of the piston with redstone behind the pistons.
Why won’t it work for me I did it like you said
doesn’t work for bedrock, i’m glad you got your views though
Why doesnt work?
you have to put the redstone ontop of the pistons for it to work :D
Yes it soes
@@BreadNotBedno.? I tried it and it worked
How do i turn it in
doesnt even work
Yhhh why is that
The Redstone isn’t even activated how did you expect this to work? It does not.
how to make pistons go back
It's a slow farm. How much time does it takes to fill one chest?
Someone said about Half a stack in 30 minutes so that would be about 54 hours for a full large chest 💀💀💀
Bro the farm is slow and the sugar cane gets stuck on the sand blocks sometimes
@@anoriginalname1374 you can replace the sand block with mud blocks and hoppers at the bottom of mud blocks. So that sugarcane doesn't stuck and pass beneath the mud blocks.
@@arhamahmedkhan7060 or use a hopper minecart instead of water
