"It could have been good if they made it better." --RCE, 2024
its not that odd of a statement. He's saying its a good idea, but the progression is bad
Very useful feedback.
Give this man a job as a game reviewer.
"I think I'll just destroy this forest and grab the fuel real quick"
Matt is secretly American
Or an Easter Islander
fuel goes from 30 to 35, yeah 15 more

"light, volatile liquid obtained from distillation of petroleum," 1864, a variant of gasolene (from 1863 in Britain), which apparently was a trade name at first, from gas (n.1) in its then-popular loose sense of "compound of gases used for illuminating and heating purposes;" the -ol probably here represents Latin oleum "oil" and the ending is from the chemical suffix -ine (2). Shortened form gas was in common use in U.S. by 1897. Gas station as a fuel filling station for automobiles recorded by 1924.
Ene is used to describe a organic compound with at least 1 double bond between carbon atoms
Thank you for knowing that and teaching it to me
please calm down
my simpler explanation : gas is the nickname of gasoline 🤣
Dear Editor,
Thank you for suffering through all the ads and cutting them out for us.
Yours Truly,
A Grateful Viewer
The National Weather Service in Engitopia has issued a *** Tornado Warning *** for: Engiland, EN. Until 3:44:00 PM EST. At 11:34:00 AM EST the National Weather Service Doppler Radar has detected a storm capable of producing a tornado 70mi northwest of engitopia moviing southwest at 55MPH. Hazard: Tornado, Source: Radar Indicated, Impact: Damage to roofs and vehicles is likely, seek shelter now, go to the innermost room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, avoid windows and flying debris, if in a mobile home, vehicle or outside, find the nearest substantial shelter. I repeat, A tornado warning has been issued for Engiland.
lol
Spot on accuracy, which is impressive for the NWS issuing a warning for another country.
Im from Australia
We have tornado made of fire
We also have tornado made of water
O did i mention we have tornado made of dust?
Unfortunately our tornados aren't storm associated! Ive always wanted to drive a monster truck into a tornado!
Same
😂
I love how Matt can still make a bad game appears funny. Haha
"Because 1776", I spit my coffee! Good on you mister editor.
"Can tornadoes swim?"
Yes, they become waterspouts lol
"Gas" is short for Gasoline. Also Hamlets are a thing in the US as well.
Should also be noted that Gasoline/Gazoline was the generic word for Cazeline which was a British trademarked brand for petroleum oil (Petrol). Petrol was also almost trademarked, but the petition was denied because Brits were already using the term generically.
Though I have never heard of Hamlet in the US. It must be a regional term.
Its mostly used in wealthy east coast communities.@@pfcparis
Get a lot of hamlets in (go figure) new england
Because in America we like to turn brand names into the full name. (Looking at you Kleenex) in 1862 John Cassel made a company called Cazeline (most likely influenced by another company in Ireland called Gazeline) and people started calling it gasoline and then we shorten everything ergo gas!
I think the dev(s) should change the gas can to a bag of wind. Would make more sense to fuel the tornado with that. On the other hand, if it really needs fuel, why don't the gas stations refill your fuel bar?
"I played it so you don't have to..." is what i was getting from watching... but somehow I laughed way too much at this
Paddy barking in the battleground got my dog to start barking haha!
I think the biggest issue is that it's too incremental, and makes the game feel too grindy. I think if they lowered the prices slightly, or so that every odd damage level, you'd be able to one-shot the next size tree (so level 3 damage can 1-shot a small tree, level 5 can 1-shot a medium tree, and level 7 can 1-shot a large tree), with the berserk mode doubling your damage.
I think if they also made it where the fuel usage paused when you go into berserker mode
Hang on, you were playing THIS while you were in walking distance of a beach!? That's dedication there
Matt blaming the game for him not prioritizing gas is just hilarious.
Thank you editor for sitting through those adverts.
Peer pressure here, play frostpunk. The engineers needs your help to survive the cold
No now I need to see you finish this game 😂
Happy late birthday Matt
Love when Matt said “It’s beserking time” and then beserked all over
"Would you like some making fk, berserker"
The lack of radius upgrade really solidifies it as a lazy cash grab.
“This could have been really good if you would have just made it better” I’m not sure I could have said it any better if I would have just said it better. Happy birthday Matt!
I feel like this Tornado is just Homer Simpsons rampaging around in search of donuts.
Matt gas isn't called gas like the state of matter, it's short for Gasoline
Looks like a 2017 gardenscapes ad!!!!
Really need to play that black hole game next... the design is very human
The tornado actually being a weapon makes perfectly good sense though, the weapon would need some kind of power source...or fuel, you know. So that all checks out.
Every plane under the class of B (like the B-2) is a Bomber, theres no point in adding the word Bomber afterwards
I felt physical pain when you described a morderm gamer as someone who pays their way to the end. What has this industry come to
More like it returned to its roots of arcades squeezing quarters from children. Console and PC gaming were just detours from this true path.
@@ra2enjoyer708 Nah, arcades had been by far worse than any game that allows you to pay to skip could ever be - its more similar to cheat codes, except that you don't enter them, instead you pay to get the effect once.
I'm really happy you returned to your usual video editing style, RCE feels back like home
Gas stations sell the same thing as petrol stations: gasoline. And of the two nicknames for the liquid fuel known as gasoline, "gas" has always made more sense to me.
for anyone wondering, this game is called "tornado madness''
I'd like to see you engineer Terraria
I've never seen a tornado so destructive to RCEs mental health 😂
“Gas” in America is short for Gasoline, just like how “Petrol” in Europe is short for Petroleum.
Petrol in England not Europe, since it's pretty much the only country where most people speak English...
@@philippk736 Ebonics is not English.
I think Matt initially didn't properly consider the degree of scaling of the lightning. That cubic scaling instantly caught my eye.
Side note: I also think I have a severe mental problem, considering that I put that much thought into it.
10:41 I‘m watching to many videos from you. Started seeing the strongest shape there too and then you even gone and mentioned it 😅
MORE BEAVERS! MORE SONG! MORE BRIDGES!!!
Someone needs to mod all the games RCE plays, so he has to manage them all at once
I think if the berserk mode paused or slowed the fuel usage it would be quite a bit better
17:10 I'm not American, but gas is short for gasoline, that's why they say petrol incorrectly
In the U.S. we have small towns and villages that you would definitely call a hamlet, but nobody here calls them that.
3:11 I think the EF scale is used now for tornadoes.
Traditionally, the distinction between a hamlet and a village was that a village economy was based on farms, while a hamlet's economy was based on orchards. Or so I've heard.
Joke's on you Matt, petrol is only liquid under pressure, left alone it absolutely *will* evaporate into a gas
Finally, we have them all
Gas = Gasoline, the actual petroleum product that car engines run on.
2m subs good job Real Civil Engineer
Oh yeah, coins and XP. The stuff a gamer's dreams are about. 😀
Tornados: Engineers ... of DESTRUCTION MUHAHAHAHAH!
To answer three of your questions: Yes, tornadoes can "swim", they're called water spouts. No, no humans live in the woods, so stay far far away from me, I mean them. We call gas gas because it's short for gasoline, because that's the actual name for it. If anything calling it petrol is incorrect because while yes it is petroleum based, in essence it is an entirely new product. It's like calling your cake an egg simply because there's egg in it.
Gas is short for Gasoline. Its a misspeilling of Gazeline, the knockoff of Cazeline, named after its founder John Cassel in 1862
almost to 2 MIL we belivein u mATT!
yes
Bruh i can hear the slurping from here, Don't forget to wipe your mouth when your done.
@@facetubetwit1444 wat do dat mean bro
@@BlueVoid28 It means you are a sucker or they are one to be more precise.
These tornados are way more effective than the tornado i saw. All it did was take out our barn, and our silos, and every window in the house... and the roof.
Hamlets are not only a British thing. There are also many of these in Germany
Day 58 of asking Matt to play Soviet republic it’s the most engineering game ever
Matt how’s your day going? Was it a breeze?
There's still hamlets in France too. :)
Less than a minute into the video, Matt destroys a tree. Why does he always love deforestation so much?
Calling it "gasoline" is no more erroneous than calling it "petrol." It is not petroleum, but it is a product of petroleum. It is not gas, but it is very volatile and ends up becoming vapor by the time it burns in an engine.
Bad Mat, you could have played mindustry while waiting for skylines
Is there a therapist that can explain Matt’s ability to see the strongest shape in everything?
He’s an engineer they train from childhood to only see the world in terms of strength and shape!
Simple my friend the strongest shape is in everything It is even IN YOU...
Yeah it's called sexually perverted.
Happy Birthday, Matt!!
What the hell!? The petrol stations should give you more fuel than the Gerry cans! Gives you nothing
yes tornados swim happy bday
Gas, as we call it, is actually 'liquified petroleum gas'. It naturally wants to be a gas.
Haha gas is to gasoline as petrol is to petroleum 😂
This game is a breath of fresh air.
This was missing the keys shacking, subway surfers and family guy clips
WERE ALMOST AT 2 MILLION SUBS LETS GOOOO
The "gas" in gas station is short for gasoline and not the word gas.
I didn’t realise RCE new planes, im an avgeek and interested in aerospace engineering alongside Civil RCE was a legend before this but now, now he’s the legend
Yup every man is a legend when he's in his bathroom alone with the door locked.
Because petrol used to be sold through multiple brands/companies and Gasoline was the Kleenex of fuel.
17:16 I believe it is because it is known as gasoline.
Gas is just short for gasoline, Petrol is short for petroleum. Its fairly simple.
Because the substance we purchase is called Gasoline, so "Gas" for short.
As an American, we call Kent "posh crap"
Love you RCE
The big question I have though is are these gasoline tornados that can become fire tornados, or are you driving a tornado vehicle?
Petrol = Petroleum Gas = Gasoline
they should make the game longer, not harder to progress.
"Gas" for "Gasoline". Ironically, in German it's "Benzin" (not to be confused with "Benzene"), but the Gas Pedal is still called a "Gaspedal"
It's funny you call it "gas pedal". What if you are using another combustible? Gasoline, ethanol, diesel...
In Brazil we just call it "accelerator".
@mateusfccp it could be argued they all transform into gas during the combustiom, but what's worse: what if it's an electric car?
In Spanish we also call it "accelerator", btw.
@@mateusfccp In the US we call it both.
Also in Spanish we call gas "gasolina" in some countries and "nafta" in others. "Bencina" is the name that we use for the liquid inside a lighter. Interestingly, if I rememeber correctly "venzin" is the Greek word for gas. Also, oil (as in petrol oil) is "petróleo" (while "petrol" is simply nafta/gasolina). Those words certainly go around!
It's called gas because it's short for gasoline hahah
I mean the gas station gets its name ftom the gasoline that most Americans buy from the building. Though when its first produced all of the different fuels that are distilled from oil are gasses then are cooled from what i understand.
yo, greats Video! Btw. Are you planing to play the INFRA DLC?
Gas is short for gasoline. Gasoline being another word for petrol. Gasoline formed from the words gas and line, with line from the german word for oil.
Gas is short for gasoline. It stems from a 19th century term. I do agree petrol sounds more appropriate seeing how most automotive fuel is petroleum based.
Petrol comes out of the ground. GASoline is what goes into your car at the pump.
There is somethings wrong there i think cause what comes out of the ground is oil🤓
Petrol's full name is petroleum gasoline. Petrol and Gas both come from that.
Day 24 of asking RCE to play Creeper World.
It's a series of RTS game about fighting floods and managing resources. There's also loads of community content. CW3 and CW4 are both really good choices.
RCE told me to tell you "NO".
@@facetubetwit1444He can do it himself.
warning tornado matt was spotted in England. lol
Weird question: what's the difference/relationship between cantilevered and cable-stayed?
Cantilever is only supported on one side. Cable stay is supported throughout.
Play Good Pizza, Great Pizza!
Gas is short for Gasoline, not the form of matter lol
Americans say gas because its short for gasoline! I honestly had to think about it for a second when you asked why we call it "gas."
Are you going to make a tornado of tornados t shirt merch?
Gasoline, shortened to Gas.
It's called gasoline. We shorten everyth8ng. So it's gas. Gasoline, gas
