I deleted mine on my 89 model 90hp. No need to buy that plate. Just take the pump off and remove the shaft that turns it. Put pump back on and remove the oil tank . Cap off the one hose from tank and double the other one back to the pump. Works fine

I used Google translate, for you comment. I think you're asking about the fuel pump melting connections. I'm not sure which fuel pump they used on the 2012, but on this year, I have not had any issues. You may need to replace the fuel pump. I'm not sure that rebuilding it will solve the problem. If it is melting connections, your engine temp is probably getting too high.

I heard the same thing from a friend "they fail" There's a block off plate and o-ring. I just bought one and trying to figure out why they fail.

Not sure the exact reason, I switched mine over to be on the safe side a couple years ago.

Plastic gear that comes off of it is made of plastic. Dry-rot/wear plastic no good. Remove Arm that works it and the gear going into the engine then place back on tight and close all ports.

I still have it. The tach isn't hooked up and I'm not sure about the prop, looks factory to me.

Why would you trust that as you stated they fail all the time. I mixed my gas at the gas station. There's no chance for it fail this way

Amazon has some manuals. I just searched online for the parts I used.
