#ebay #reselling #thrifting #poshmark #mercari - Jak na to + styl
Just started eBay bc Facebook is VERY slow. In two weeks I sold 10 items. I'm on a roll. Just sold a vintage Perdue farms inc recipe holder. Clear plastic for $7.50.
Keep it up!
Hi Rebel & Robert. I am in Ohio. Sourcing is ruff here too. Hardly any yard sales and the ones i went to weren't that great. However, yesterday it was pouring rain and i went out anyway. The first yard sale i went to i purchased 2 pencil cases full of Vintage lego Mini figures. I gave my wallet whiplash whipping it out so fast.
I'm in Ohio too! Sold a Head brand Tennis racquet bag 41.99 plus shipping. I am not sporty at all but ut was pink and looked new so I picked it up for 2.99
Ooh, lego minifigs are always a great find!
We had a community sale this weekend. My first time going to it. I found Fisher Price Sesame Street Figures which excited me greatly!!
Sourcing has been very hard so far, the seasons starting about two months late and there are more and more of the tax evasion sales (chronic yard sellers) and ones that are priced up to high, many over retail. All we can do is keep getting out there and trying though!
Bins have been good, yard sales are always hit and miss for me and usually more misses. I sold a vintage 70s bed cover with crochet trim that I got at the bins for $1.48. It sold for $112.00
Our yard sale season started about a month ago. I had a commitment the first Saturday and it has poured every Saturday since then. Really hard to source. Glad everything is going well for you. I always comment before I finish watching. The most amazing thing I found at the bins 2 months ago just keeps on giving. Not terribly high dollar- we pay $1.89 a pound and the items were about 90 cents. They are thin plastic aviator plotters. I bought 30 of them and have sold about 8 so far for $6.00 each. Easy to pack, easy to ship and I'll be delighted to turn 90 cents into $180.00o.
Love the smalls. Nice find! Easy to list, easy to ship.
Buy a storage locker or two. Please, so I can live vicariously though you and Robert. Lol. I'm not allowing myself to buy anymore until I list and organize.
Yes yes! I just have to find a good one that isn't overpriced. No luck with that yet though.
-Robert
Goodwill is where we go to mostly, but man... The prices have gone up so much. I'm located in SC.
I heard from an employee that they're looking up listings on eBay, but not the sold.
Very difficult to find anything worth reselling these days. :/
I made myself slow down on sourcing because of to many profit piles. I did find a Jellycat Beatrice Bee Tot at Goodwill for .99 cents that just sold for $132.50 plus shipping & a Julia Stiles “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” cookbook First Edition at an estate sale for a $1 just sold for $152.50 plus shipping! Very exciting when that happens! ☺️
I've found that cookbook before! Nice!
Hey Rebel, I live in a very, very rural part of Tennessee on the other side of the state from you and thankfully there are very few resellers in my area. I truly feel like I have the place to myself! LOL! Also, the prices at the garage sales and thrift stores here are so low because there are not an influx of resellers here. I buy very low, just like you teach us, and sell for a great profit on eBay. You have taught me so much since I started watching you and I started part-time reselling in January 2024. Love Your Channel!
Aahh, thanks so much!
I am so sorry your sourcing is not good. I really can’t complain especially this weekend (18) the treasure map app was lit up with red dots with yard sales on both sides of the river. I sold a model for 145.00 a spooky model airplane that I bought for 5.00. I have several boxes of models that I have been selling this month. I am thrilled. I bought 11 at an estate sale on the 50% day that you said you love going too so I try it out and I will go back from now on. I couldn’t believe what was left on Sunday. As always love the video.
Grab the good stuff when you can. I'm sure it will pick up here when the rain finally stays away for a bit.
I sold a set of vintage sesame Street curtains today 😊 they are adorable. I have the blanket to match that I'm listing tomorrow.
I love vintage Sesame Street too!
In the financial world there's a saying, sell in may(assets) go away, it's a time people go on vacation, so you don't have eye's on the products
Take all of your oldest listings and end and list similar.
3 tornadoes hit my city, no yard sales, most thrift stores still closed due to power outages or damage assessments, no sourcing here, and 80% of my inventory is currently under a giant fallen tree - not a stellar week LOL
Wow sorry to hear that! So many places getting hit with tornadoes this year it’s crazy! Hopefully everyone is safe, stuff can always be replaced. Sending good vibes your way
I'm so sorry to hear this too. A resellers worst nightmare is losing their inventory. Hopefully, some of will be salvageable. Hugs!
Good thing you have profit piles.
I'm starting to list Halloween And Christmas now, I'm cleaning up some vintage stuff will list soon. I love vintage stuff. Your sales are looking good!
You did the right thing. A sale is a sale. Since she only took the 1bib, you'll make extra $when you sell the second bib. "A bird in the hand .....".❤
Sourcing- in also struggling to find enough easy items to list! Too much rain wiped out yard sales!!! Thanks 2R!!
Hi, Rebel. Love your videos! When you are listing a vintage plush, do you put the word " vintage " in your title?
Thank you! It is a pleasure to watch you!
Not usually. I prefer to list a date if I can find one. If I have space in a title I might occasionally add vintage.
I have been trying to work on my money pile and haven’t been thrifting as much. The yard sales seem to be overpriced junk and the thrift stores are about the same. Thanks for sharing Rebel.
I have seen hardly any plush. But i did say no to bears.
Yard sale prices have been crazy here too. I leave the sales without anything a lot.
Great video 👍
Great video.
I m confused. You listed all those great clothes already? Great that Robert did that help.
The week. I sold one Vander bear plush for over 20.
And 5 pieces of lingerie. Oh and some aero shoes I was sitting on. Two items of vintage Tupperware
I have been on a " no thrift shopping" .. since December. I have only been listing from what I have on hand.
Good luck all.
I've got them logged into my spreadsheet, waiting on pics and then I can get them listed. It's good to get working on the profit piles.
I sold a gothic rag doll this week, I paid 50p (UK) and sold for £75.00 plus shipping!
Nice!
Your welcome and thank you for all you do
I found my first 24K Polar Puff. It was a cat with a dress in very good condition. Sold for $50.
We are a little slow also.
Just catching up. Today I found a vintage Barbie House for $5. I will probably try to sell on Marketplace but I saw it sold on eBay for about $130.
Nice find!
Sold Frogg Togg Boot Storing and Drying Rack (NOS) this week. It was in a box lot from an online estate sale and we had less than 50 cents in it. Sold for $9.99. Made me happy. Sold Vintage Sunflower Chaircap Covers purchased from an estate sale for $2.67 -sold for $15.99. Sold a Cowl Neck Sleeveless Top purchased at the bins for 37 cents -sold for $9.99. I'm grateful for 'bread and butter' sales. We don't have much luck with yard sales other than a few church ones that have rummage sales and a Ruritan Club yard sale that we try to attend each year. We mostly acquire our inventory from estate sales and our local Bin Store (returns-fill a buggy on Wednesday for $25 and we FILL a buggy -shopping cart if you ain't from the south. We also like the HUGE Flea Market in Hartville, OH (Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends)-headed there next week.
Beard and butter sales pay the bills for sure. Thanks!
*Nods to Rebel * Nods to Robert* Howdy, folks!
Howdy!
Just today I sold a Keurig Office Pro machine for $119.99 + about $40 shipping paid by the buyer. I purchased it at a thrift store for $10. 😁
That is awesome!
I think that I’m broken! I haven’t wanted to source. Really weird!
😊
❤❤❤
People are listing their items instead of doing yard sales. And Goodwill is listing their decent items instead of putting them out. It's getting rough out there y'all😭
Hi you 2
❤😊
Well I'm retired and I started on Poshmark last week and nothing shows up on what is it called my closet or whatever I'm just so discouraged I don't know whether I should try eBay otherwise I'm going to take everything I have and just get rid of it I have lovely old stuffed animals I have a princess dye doll that doesn't matter that Alexander and she's got a price tag of $169 on her I'd probably put it online and be lucky to get $10 so I don't know what to do I'm over here in Winston-Salem all of our stuffed animals are a dollar which is good but maybe I should just stick to something like that
I would do Ebay over any of them. You can do really good on Ebay. Don't get discouraged because if you put the work in, you will get the reward. God bless you and your reselling. ❤
I'm having very few sales on Mercari or Poshmark and I have several thousand listings. EBay is much better but does have a learning curve. If you are not in my Facebook group, please join it and ask questions to get you started on eBay.
I meant Julia Child not Julia Stiles 😂
Our yard sales have also been subpar this year. We have a local Bins that I go to several times a week and it has been slim pickins for months. I'm not sure what's going on.
😀💜 I only sell a few clothes but I noticed the ones marked 'organic' sold really fast.
Your such a kind soul Rebel. You can just feel it. 🫂💟
