This game is a great reminder that pretty graphics are not everything to make an open world feel good. I appreciate horizon forbidden west way more now.
@Victor Olivero Amazing graphics never makes the open world feel good to begin with. It's the gameplay that makes the games feel great.
@@bigblujay9729 I wasn't talking about gameplay, I was talking about world design. Just because the individual components of your world are pretty (which is the case here) if you place them in an umappealing way you're still going to get a world that doesn't feel right. So it made me realize that the horizon world is way more than it's beauty, it's a very carefully crafted scenary.

@@bigblujay9729 it has good graphics, but yeah, it isn't pretty. It feels flat, with no personality, and empty, and when I say empty I'm not talking about side stuff, because that's gameplay, I'm talking about the things there are to see and stuff like that.

I love how the magic looks. The intentional weightlessness and variety of movements is really cool. It looks like traversal is pretty fun - or at least not completely monotonous - too...but I hate the running animations. It was the same way in FF15 too. It's like characters run with *extreme* force applied, but then glide across the landscape like they're barely touching the ground. The magic animations look great, so I can only assume this is deliberately so silly.
Reminds me in more ways than one of Sunset Overdrive and I had plenty of fun with that, incessant dialogue included. So long as movement and combat remains as engaging as this I think I'll enjoy it.
It’s more horizon meets second son type gameplay im loving it the world is huge and the girl reminds me of my girlfriend so maybe that’s why I like it but really the combat is just fun

Is it just me or every landscape in this game have a vertical stone wall in the background? No scenic views and stuff.
It doesn't look as bad as the claims seem to make it sound, but it doesn't really impress me either.
Open worlds being massively empty is basically par for the course sadly. Rare to find an open world game where there is actually stuff in the world.
Combat looks like it has options, but just from a glance I'm not sure the difference between the options is that impactful.

I introduce you to Elden Ring.
But even in that masterpiece, you can make an argument of finding small areas that are empty or dungeons that look very similar to other dungeons. Not to mention repeated bosses.
I feel like no one gave this game a chance before bagging on it like most of the people in the comments just regurgitating what someone else said not trying it for themselves
Fr i honestly don’t mind “lifeless games” / “plot less games” honesty i like testing out powers in games and i find it so cool and facinating.
The dialogue is cringe, the open world is empty, the combat is too easy (enemies don't attack) and the game had a lot of bugs and performance issues. How about you actually read what people didn't like about the game next time?

i gave it a chance and i am having fun with it the only complaint i have with it is the stupid game pilo has you do ugh

If they changed the main character to someone more appealing to the mass, the game probably wouldn't have failed.
Maybe give it the major update like cyberpunk , it can be cool

This is my game of the year, but I haven’t played any games this year.
The game and the power/magic looks cool. But the world feels... lifeless. Either in color and/or in monsters, animals and humanoids. Maybe it's only the part the video shows. I would also like the option of a male MC but it seems there isn't... too bad.
I hope this game will be on ps plus one day

just got it for sale from the local tech store, cost only 8€
Because it could be so much more, but it's nothing. It has cool movement animations like Spiderman, Batman, Gotham Knights, Just Cause, Devil May Cry and other hack & slash games, but it's missing everything else. The world environment sucks, the voice acting is very indie and amateur, i don't know the story too well but i doubt it's that great. It's just a disappointing game and there are tons of better games out there.
I like to see every boss fight in this game 🔥

Blew the budget on traversal options: combat looks awfully janky by comparison. Reduced to circling and shooting???
The game gets really fun once you beat the first major boss. Don't let the bad reviews fool you. Every last magic spell in this game was well thought out and has to be used properly to survive. It was refreshing compared to games like God of war or devil may cry which you would have a whole arsenal of weapons but only 2 of them would be useful for the majority of the game
omg even a couple seconds in the video and her first line is some snappy remark, wtf is with this character...
why can't she just reply in a normal manner, something like "alright, got it, thanks"

what i don't like with forspokens Frey is that she is impertinent, edgy for no reason, passive aggressive, entitled in a world she knows nothing about, obnoxcious and simply unlikeable as a person.

The world is actually beautiful and the magic is great
But it's so empty, they made such an massive open world but make it so dead that the only thing that made you go traveling the world is to go to destination, there's no sense of exploring since everything is so empty
in games like RDR2, you could just go to random direction and you will encounter a random stranger with random event
on this? yeah, just walk, parkour, walk, parkour, hey there's some fodder enemy, parkour, etc
It’s a filler open world through and through. Such a shame, games can be devoid of quests and npcs and still be good just look at Elden Ring. It has tons of enemy variety, environmental variety and storytelling, rewarding exploration. This game has none of that.

It's because the game launched buggy and not even the top-end PCs could run it, the main characters talk a lot and have really bad dialogue, the world is HUGE but empty and barren and there's nothing to explore and the NPCs are robots. No one cares about the character's race, it's just you.

The Open World, the graphics and the Gameplay have so much potential, BUT the main character is sooo unlikable and her dialogue is really bad.
Missed opportunity, could have been a solid game.

It doesn't look like the most awesomest game I've ever seen, but I always appreciate Square Enix's effort to do something other than Final Fantasy, quite possibly the worst thing they've ever created. Bottom line - It's the same deal with Gotham Knights: anyone who liked the other Arkham games more than Origins hated Knights, which was made by the same devs (i think). But if you're a 'weirdo' like me and preferred Origins to the others then you're more likely to give Knights a chance. I've despised Final Fantasy for years and until I played Chrono Trigger, I just assumed Square could only make incoherent garbage. After Trigger I realized the problem wasn't Square, it was the audience. The fans. Seems they like incoherent garbage, which is why FF is still around and why valiant efforts like this IP always flounder...

Wow this games open world is terrible. It’s all copy and pasted garbage with the same exact enemies filling the entire map. Literally 12 unique enemies in this MASSIVE game. All the others are reskins. The world is filled with nothing but chest with crap materials. Any piece of gear you get is ultimately meaningless since its all the same, no unique effects. It can all be upgraded.
No quest, no enemy variety, no interesting points of interest. Probably the most boring open word I’ve ever played. I can see why Luminous got liquidated.
