I love and enjoyed everyone of these games but Alan wakes story arc and the way they did everything within 13 years was done soo well. Remedy deserve much more recognition

For me remains a Forbidden West DLC. Still playing this game with the water wing. Just amazing.
The Horizon series is just perfect. I've just devorated Zero Dawn and Forbidden West for 60h+. Love 'em

I'm not a fan of God of War but only been playing it for a few hours. Maybe need to be patient with it more but Spider Man 2 is amazing! it is a work of art

Finally picked up a PS5 earlier this year, as an Xbox user I’ve been enjoying the year catching up. The last of us, Spider-Man series and now playing GoW
I’m 43 and still enjoying playing games. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy are some of the best games I’ve ever played (along with Sifu and a nice little puzzle game called, Humanity). Highly recommend them. I don’t have a lot of time to play them, so they take a lot longer to complete, but I hope to try some of the others on your list at some point too, Chris.

I borrowed from a friend of mine to play Hogwarts Legacy and definitely a great game. Spider-Man 2 was my favorite and no doubt the best game i enjoyed this year. Also finished God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16 this year. Avatar is something i'll wait for a big discount. It was a good year for gaming. Star wars jedi survivor or AC Mirage is probably i'll get for New Year's present.

How do you put Spider-Man 2 over ff16? Ff16 is leagues better and sm2 was so much wasted potential and just so surface level. To basic for 5 year “growth”

Will have to say Cyberpunk (after all updates etc) The vibe of that game is just awesome. Spend most of my time getting destroyed in warzone though lol. 😜
Spiderman 2 was my game of the year with Alan wake 2 being a close second. I loved all the games I played this year. Jedi Survivor, Final Fantasy 16, and Resident Evil 4 remake were also fantastic games.

Best PS5 games. I'm near the end of Baldurs Gate 3 right now. Of the ones on your list, I am looking forward to Spider-Man 2, Jedi Survivor and Cyberpunk. I'll probably going with Spider-Man 2 next.

Hogwarts was my first ps5 game when we got the console for christmas last year. And im not a huge potter fan, but that game was awesome. Ive been trying to find a new game for the last month and ive gotten several duds. Ive played most of these on ur list and they are great. I want Avatar and Alan wake next! 🖤
Final fantasy 16 the eikon fights are super dope 👌 🙌

I truly felt like spiderman even more in SM 2 plus the addition of venom was icing on the cake. And GOW was also great from start to finish!

Just got a ps5 last week and i bought spider man 2 for my first ps5 game, as well as the ps5 on the same day. Incredibly good game. I totally recommend the visual mode over the performance mode if you have a 4k hdr tv or monitor as it just looks so gorgeous and colourful. It also has the full ray tracing and very high res textures. The performance mode is fine but a little choppy sometimes running it at 60 fps but the visual mode is locked at 30 (smooth for 30 fps), and didnt stutter once. Fav game for me so far

I still love Horizon Forbidden West...Story and Graphics make it a amazing experience!! Still impressed with the graphics in the game 👍👍😎

Ghosts of Tsushima its such an experience It feels so fluid. Its like watching a movie unfold and the combat is tactile responsive
I am currently playing the VR mode for RE4 and I can say this for certain, that it feels 10x more immersive and scary in VR. Personally, I don't think I would be able to play this in VR if I hadn't finished the game once as the jump scares are way too much for me to handle in VR so it makes it a little easier to play this game as I have a rough idea of what comes next. But it is a must play for anyone who is a RE fan and owns a PSVR2

You should definitely try out Stray! It’s such an epic game of a cat exploring a cyber city 🌆 but there is a lot more to it!!
i honestly cannot choose a favorite game out of all the banger releases this year. Though Spider man 2 and God of War Ragnarok were definitely 2 of my favorites throughout this awesome year.
I enjoyed RE4 Remake the most, it was my first time ever playing any Resident Evil game. I still need to play Spider-Man 2 though.

I have been running through the Jedi fallen order game and I adore it I fully plan on getting the Jedi survivor game after I finish this one.

I was not planning on playing FFXVI at first as I was traumatized for playing FFXV and thought that XVI would be the same. As it turns out I had a great time playing XVI... Definitely one of the best games I played this year.
Wish I could enjoy games still I love them so much but Sony can't figure out lod issues

Burning Shores and Alan Wake 2 were amazing!
I recently played Final fantasy 7 remake, and I now understand the hype behind that game, from the graphics to the fun, fast combat, to each character being unique, and the ending is honestly amazing. And you can get it free if you have ps plus and it includes the dlc

i think a fair point to make is replay value for each. Example is like Hogwarts legacy, it’s a wonderful game, but after completing the game there’s not much else to do

Good list. Horizon forbidden west was my very welcome ejection into the xbox ecosystem, for obvious reasons. If i got it out the bargain bin, i would have forgiven the narrative, but i made the mistake of getting the collectors edition.

Forspoken is a really good game also. A lot of people crap on it because of the graphics and stuff but in reality they aren’t even good at it lol I fell in love with it and y’all should check it out

I feel sad that Horizon series is so overlooked every time but honestly, that series is one which has blown me away with how intricately it is designed. I love Forbidden west and Burning shores is one of the most stunning DLC made in gaming. I really hope it gets its due with the third installment.
i don't have a PS5 but i love watching these videos XD
I'm 51 and have been gaming since I was 14. I started on a Commodore 16 (the cheaper version of the Commodore 64) and then an IBM XT clone. These days, I mix PC gaming and console gaming, as each offers something for me. My poor PS5 has been a bit overworked this year, well I did get it this year, BG3 is my standout, though I have enjoyed Horizon Forbidden West and Burning Shores, I just love the universe of the series. Hogwarts has been a lot of fun for me, go Ravenclaw. I don't mind arcade racers, so I'll give The Crew Motorfest a run (hint hint Santa), not sold on Avatar yet, though I do love cinematic universe. With that free DLC, it might be time to give GoW a go.
Now to find time to play all these games, my back logs keeps getting bigger 🤣
BG3 is the best game this year for me and one of my favourites of all time..
I can’t wait until early 2024 when we get the Spider-Man 2 NG+. I’m just praying we get a dlc at some point because I breezed through the platinum in 5 days without really grinding that hard

Coming from a guy who HATES turn based games, Baldur's Gate 3 has AMAZED me. have already clocked in 33 hours in the game in a span of a week or so. Took me a while to understand the rules and watch 1-2 hours of guides and videos, but once I got the hang of the combat, although turn based, no game has impressed me this much since Red Dead Redemption 2.
The turn-based combat may kind of be a little unappealing, as it was for me initially, but as you progress to level 5, there are so many abilities and freedom to do whatever you want that the game just has you hooked on the combat and strategizing and then excitedly waiting for the other player's move. The combat never feels repetitive because each move makes you think. That's what I appreciate in this game as I'm getting older now and been playing games since I was a kid. I'm 26 now.
You can throw a bottle of grease, then cast a fire bolt to burn your enemies. You can put poop on your face to persuade goblins to avoid combat with them. You can use the environment around you to kill your enemies. It never stops, and every decision you make alters the game and relationships. It's the best RPG. This is coming from a guy who never in a million years liked turn based combat. This is different because it's like chess but a 3d, cool video game.
I bought one month of Playstation premium for $20 to try BG3 for 2 hour demo and the intro video alone was worth it for me. Also, the physical edition CD comes out in early Q1 2024 in case you buy it and don't like it & want to sell it.

Been a gamer/collector past 30yrs but late to the party in getting a PS5 but got bought one for Christmas as i waited patiently, Demon Souls Wow, definitely one of my best games ever & i still own on PS3 but this is how you do a remake,
My favorite it’s prob grand terismo its so cool very grindy but very cool the tracks and the graphics are top tier
