But seriously another great video once again! :) edit: I know that you basically made this series as some kind of "one off" because dlc is still fresh and to give an impression for other people. But just wanna let you know that you can still play legends since version 1.4 of the game is up on steam, you also need to disabled the new dlc to still be able to play current legends. Just wanted to let you know.

I have the same bad luck with recruits in my oathtakers run, though I am not as averse to keeping a few fodder bros around as you are. Also I had amazing luck regarding loot, am on day 15 right now with 5 bros, all in basic mail and I also already got a pike and a t2 axe without paying for it :D it just feels so weird being back on vanilla.
That sounds like quite a good start my man. Pikes are so nice in general, but even more-so the earlier you can snatch one :) Recruits are tough in vanilla, and I'm trying to make sure we get ones worth keeping (may have to get fodder eventually if we're struggling lol)

Yeah.... I really shouldn't trust the pathfinding in this game after all my experiences.... (movement speed across different terrains does play a factor... but so does my map moving skills >.> )
IMHO, increase initiative during level-up is quite wasteful even you want to create a dodge character as a +6 increase in initiative only equal to +0.9 in defense.
Thanks for the heads up and the math. Seems like 0.9 isn't much, but it's hard to break my habits and every defence point counts to me (and I'm sure a little more initiative to have a fast bro in combat wouldn't hurt either) I'll just make sure that his other stats, like hp & res, are up to date as per usual (which is important) :)
You were lucky that the first retreat from a battle had no casualties. I know it's a lot more conveniet to just immediately press retreat but that's also a easy way to lose brothers
Farmahnds aren't too bad, and are actually really decent in HP and Fat. (but they sometimes lack the melee stats) I just love jugglers as a personal preference, and miners are usually a reliable pick for melee bros. (it's also just down to luck lol) Hope that explains things :)

I hope you can continue your Davkul run still; I was able to resume my Legends run by swapping my 'beta' settings to the previous version.

Why are prejudice against farm hands? You should have picked him first. Farm hands have good stamina and make good tanks.
