I enjoyed this update video, and feel your pain with having endless "other things" cropping up, making it hard to get workshop time on the things you really want to be doing. I'm 40 and will likely soon be in a similar boat with my Mum, as her health has been failing fast and am not looking forward to the inevitable one bit. I appreciate how down to earth and "warts and all" you are with us viewers. You're obviously a humble man, but don't do yourself down regarding not being a "professional". You do some fantastic work on a wide variety of machinery, and do better work than many so-called pro's. In any case, I'll look forward to seeing whatever you get up to as & when you're able! Auto Shenanigans is brilliant, glad you got to meet John. He seems like a sound bloke. Have met Ian Seabrook a few years ago (collecting a reed organ from him) and he's lovely too. Must try and get to the next Rustival if they do it next year.
My sympathies, it's hard work looking after parents, especially when they're from that era of stiff upper lips and not complaining. Very kind to say, but I'm really not a professional. The only thing I do to Olympic standards is drink! Jon is a thoroughly lovely human, everyone needs a Jon. Ian hasn't changed at all over the years, aside from the hair! Good to hear from you again! Sorry life has been tough lately hope things can smooth out soon enough. I hadn't realised you were at Rustival would have definitely said hi if I had, although, that show was a bit of a whirlwind of people who knew who I was who I didn't necessarily possess the same level of familiarity! I was there with my Audi 80 Sport, the car that took the Rover's place in the fleet (if not being able to match it in performance or refinement) and my dad was there in the Quattro Turbo - first time we have given it a major run since the engine rebuild and the first time we have had both cars together. Was also able to have a catch up with Jon Shenanigans, really great guy glad I got the chance to do that. Looking forward to seeing how the projects go - I am now based in the Bristol area so will keep an eye out for BXs :)
@@adventuresinrust1644 Am I detecting a hint that your tastes go beyond BXs? She has been in the family since new, was the first time I had been able to get the two cars together - quite the moment. Rustival was a damn good show but I do fear it will be a victim of its own success and become overloaded going forward
@benhooper1956 absolutely, I like all manner of things on wheels! I suspect you may be correct, if it becomes massive, which it does deserve to, it'll be hard to keep the same atmosphere, but I hope they manage it, it's what car shows should be

Parents très malades, ils sont vieux maintenant, mais ils ont eu besoin de beaucoup de soutien ces derniers mois ce qui ne leur laisse pas de temps pour les ateliers.
It does sadly, the joys of getting old.. Although currently my cat is causing the biggest issues, and rapidly racking up vet bills to rival Greece's national debt! Doubt there will be much bus stuff coming up, unless Matthew dies some videos, I'm concentrating on the sheerline and some bx fiddling as time allows at the moment, and there's quite a lot I must do to the daily hack, but there will definitely be swearing involved in all of it!
