  • Gooseberry Thuvaiyal:
    Ingredients:
    Big goose berries - 6
    Green chillies - 2
    Red chillies - 3
    Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
    Fenugreek - ¼ tsp
    Tamarind (soaked) - little
    Garlic - 3 flaked
    Salt - as req
    Oil - for frying
    Method:
    1. Cut gooseberries, removing inner seed.
    2. Fry using little oil along with cut green chillies.
    3. Dry roast red chillies, cumin seeds and fenugreek in a hot pan.
    4. Powder it in a stove grinder along with little salt.
    5. Add fried gooseberies and chillies little by little pounding it all the time.
    6. Add soaked tamarind, garlic and pound together.
    7. Serve with kambu sadam or plain cooked rice.
