- This is my 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i. I've wanted a superbike since high school and finally treated myself a few years ago. I was in the market for a Ducati and happened upon this Triumph. I'm so glad I did. Check it out!

Love that familiar sound! '02 Daytona Centennial here. Well done video, thanks!
Appreciate ya! Great bike. Keep the shiny side up.
Buying the same bike tomorrow, 5k miles for $3k, it looks incredible!
Dude! You’re gonna love it.
I love my '02 centennial as well. Wish I had more time to ride it and better places to... Soooo much fun!
Agreed. A fantastic bike. I can't get enough of it. Of all my vehicles it gets the most use.
Best 955i Vid out there , many thanks.
Much appreciated! It's an awesome bike and I'm very happy to have it.
Had a 1998 t595, was the most legit bike i ever rode once we got through the quirks of the fuel injection system, mapped it for the TOR can and got proper springs, valves and tires on her. nice video, your 02 is a beauty.
Thanks! I'm running the massive mid-range tune and an aftermarket can. Runs great. Really enjoying it. I miss the old bikes, but I'm loving the performance of the Triumph. AND no fancy electronics. The new bikes do everything for you.
Just bought one as my first intro into 1000cc. The 3cyl engine sounds awesome. Feels relaxed with plenty of power without coming on all at once, enjoying the way it rides very much. I can't wait to get it to the track.
You'll enjoy it. It's been a great bike for me. Keep the shiny side up.
I love my 2002 centennial 😍❤
Agreed! It's a great bike.
Nice video , I love mine as well ( in red) I think the 955i has the makings of a classic and one to hold on to. Cheers from Jason in New Zealand.
Thanks Jason! Totally agree. In 2002 they made some significant changes AND mine was purchased in AZ so no add-on smog junk. Plus the new bikes practically ride themselves with all the rider aids. I like a vehicle that requires at least a little mastery.
I agree. I'm too attached to Mine to sell any ways.. I've never seen another one in Florida. Future collectible indeed.
Oil leaks and trouble starting? Part of the British character of the bike? I've bought my 955i Daytona in 2001 and STILL have it, 20 years later, and it has never leaked oil or had trouble starting.
Thanks Martin. I ride it once a month and it takes a bit of effort to get it started. How often do you ride yours? Any trouble starting after it has sat for awhile? The oil leak, I discovered, is actually from an abundance of chain lube.
@@SmithClassicCars I hardly ever ride it - literally once or twice a year these days. For the first ten years I rode it regularly, (total mileage of 35,000 miles) but since 2012 the bike has barely covered 150 miles in total. Of course, the battery goes flat when left so I generally give it a quick charge up before taking it to its annual MOT test to keep it legally on the road. But with the battery charged it always fires up first or second turn, and it might be six months since it was last fired up. One problem it did suffer when I rode it regularly was the swinging arm (I have the single sided arm) used to loosen quite quickly and I'd have to re-adjust it every week. That might have been a result of me riding it hard though.
Overall, I think the bike is a wonderfully reliable and certainly powerful enough for me to ride on public roads. I have a highTriumph aftermarket exhaust that gives the engine a sweet note when it's wound up to above 6,000rpm. I don't think it is the best handling bike I've ever ridden. I used to get my 250cc Suzuki further over than the Trumpy. She's 21 years old this year - I wish I was wearing as well!
@@MartinKillips Thank you! I'll look into replacing the injectors.
@@MartinKillips I found the problem the other day. A frayed and hardly connected ignition wire. Right as rain now. Thanks!
Great bike. Best looking yr too!
Thanks Brandon. I love it. So glad I got it over the Ducati. Definitely worked out for the best.
I am in the process of restoring the exact same bike. All I have left is some paint work, and the 12,000 service. I sure do admire those clip-on bars. They are noticeably higher than stock. I sure would like to know what those are, but since you bought the bike used, they may have been on there when you bought the bike and do not know what they are. I have purchased a pair of foot pegs that will be 1.5 inches lower than stock. If I could find a set of clip-ons like those, I would be all set.
I'm sorry Mark. Wish I could help you, but as you guessed, as I bought it the way it is I don't know what type they are. Thank you for checking out my videos. Good luck with your project.
@@SmithClassicCars Well, . . . I had to try. That fact that you quickly replied to your original post that you made YEARS ago, on the SAME DAY, is more than impressive to me Anyone that do that, was well worth any effort invovled. THANKS - Mark
@@user-eq1bl2ei6k No problem. Enjoy the Triumph. I've definitely enjoyed mine.
SWEET BIKE!
Thank you!
Just bought one yesterday!
You're gonna love it. Awesome bike! So glad I bought it.
Nice bike I have a 99’ With 15k on it. I’ve had it almost 3 years. My first test ride I said damn this thing pulls like a freight train. Thought it was funny you said the same thing in the video
Nice! Enjoy it. I'm so glad I happened across this one. It's been a great bike.
Thanks!
Triumph 😍😍😍
Love my 02 CE
As you should. I'm so glad I bought the Triumph. The Ducati was pretty, but it would have been pretty troublesome I'm certain. Love this bike!
What brand of clip ons are you using? They look higher and closer than the stock ones. Must be a lot more comfortable…
I'm sorry Tom. I'm not sure what brand they are. They came with the bike.
I took a look today and there are no markings on the clip ons. Apologies.
@@SmithClassicCars No worries, thx for the effort!
No problem. Enjoy your Triumph. It's a great bike. @@tomvandeneynde4591
I still regret selling mine. Was also blue, exact same bike
It is a great bike. Maybe there's another one out there for you. I'm about to upload another video of it. I hope you like it! Thanks for the comment.
Nice, what pipe have you got on it, she sounds lush
Thanks! I went with the British manufactured Trident Exhaust system. Probably could have saved some dough going elsewhere, but I liked the idea of keeping it in the family.
Friend of mine had the T-595 in college.
Decided to ride it in a Speedo one day.
Kids do dumb stuff, but it was funny to us at the time.
