I have a 2000 Triumph 955i which I've owned for twenty years. I think they have a timeless beauty and they are as powerful as anything you need on public roads.
Totally agree Martin, look out for a review coming to the channel soon, on the updated Daytona 955i too :)
Na can never have enough power 😂
Indeed
2000000hp then?@@mark675
I have a 98 T595 and I have more fun riding it then almost any other bike I have ridden. So much feel to the ride, enough torque to keep me smiling and enough speed to get me in trouble.
It's a special bike for sure 😁
I had a Daytona 955i.What a great engine!
One of my favourites :)
Ihave the red 99 version so it has original gorgeous shape but with a lot of updates.Simplt superb bike and I jump on that rather than my mk 1 busa, all the charecter and ability you need and what a sound!
To me they were the english 916 and glad they starting to find their value!
Look out for another review on the updated Daytona coming to the channel soon too :)
Same, I have a black 1999. Still T595 shape but badged as the 955i and has the lotus cams in it.
Last year i dropped on a 54 plate with 21k last owner 15 years none runner got it for £1000 all it needed was a fuel pump stripped the body off and stored it in my loft i have done a basic speed look naked conversion its a little naked to share the shed with my r1250gsa i love it keeping her for a while
Great for a Sunday blast to clear the cobwebs! I also had a Speed Triple 955i while the big GS1200 was for longer trips (video on the channel) a great duo of bikes on a budget 😀
I just put a deposit on a '03 955i Daytona. I used to have a '97 T509 Speed Triple and loved it, so I'm hoping the Daytona is as much fun. Just the sound of any Triumph triple engine is enough to make you smile. Ride one through a narrow country village high street - even idling through the traffic - every head will turn... yes, they may be thinking you're a complete and utter hooligan, but you really won't care.
Speed Triple or Daytona, love them both! I have a few videos on the channel on the Speedy too if you get the time 😉
Hi, I’ve been subscribed and watching your great channel a few yrs,and 1 hr ago I have bought an absolutely mint 14,000 mls Daytona 2002 model , metallic blue full history, I have not ridden or owned a bike for yrs,I am a triumph lover but never owned an Hinckley bike, it’s being delivered Wednesday but it’s not stopped raining for a week here in Warrington keep riding this fab channel regards baz.
Thanks for the kind words Baz, enjoy your new ride. And keep safe out there 😉
Bought that bike for little money 2 months ago... What a great, powerful beautiful piece. Love it. I only bought it because I will not manage to finish my Speed Triple this season, so I needed a replacement. Best decision ever 👍
Great Choice Peter 😁 (although I do love a Speedy too)
Really great review, always my favourite triumphs, it gets me at it watching your great reviews on these splendid bikes cheers baz.
Thanks for the kind comments Baz 😁
I have a 1998 t595 with 10,000 in a Strontium Yellow, rebuild a dirtbike to trade for it. And it's my first street bike alot of power for a beginner but very manageable for what it is. Love this bike and will never sell!
Keep it for as long as you can Luke 😁
I just bought a 99 in rough condition. The engine sounds good but has control or sensor problems, needs forks and brakes rebuilt and fairings repaired and painted. I hope to dive into a restoration soon.
Sounds like an interesting project Dan! good luck with it 😁
Great ride along review as always, must try this bike myself soon 😁
You really do need to at least take this bike out for a couple of hours! it will put a huge grin on your face :)
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Can I borrow this One 😂
@@allthatglitterz4564 Sure.... Pop over anytime haha
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes On my way 😁😎👍

I have decided to get another this year as I didn't keep my first one long enough. For an even better bargain the Sprint 955 is hard to beat, although it's hardly a looker, it offers a huge ammount for a fraction of the price of the Daytona.
Considered the RS a few times, but not a looker either! (although cheap as chips now) check out my other videos though, as I have had a couple of Sprints, a 955i and a 1050 both on the channel when I started out, and the 955i Sprint can be had for under £1500 now 😉
Lovely machine. Just the right amount of power to make it very fun to ride. Not to keen on massive power bikes, a bit soulless.
Sound to die for, especially if you put the high level factory end can on. Handlebars are quite low and forward and like you say, not conducive for a long ride. Plenty of upgrade higher bars out there.
I'm on my second one, 2001 year, low miles and immaculate. She's a keeper.
Have to agree, this is in my top 10 bikes of all time! along with the Speed Triple T509 - Which by the way...... there is a video on coming next weekend! so subscribe (if you haven't yet) and you can see that very soon :)
Bougt the same bike in same color last year. Put some 20000km on it. So far no real problems just the idle servo motor sometimes doesnt keep up when pulling in the clutch. Just give her some good oil some new brake pads and u got to go
Great choice 😁
I stumbled upon 1999 Sprint ST 995i for 1200£. I consider to buy it but I'm not sure whether it's a good deal. Originally I was looking for VFR 750/800 but Triumph looks good aswell. There are plenty of parts for VFR's but I'm not sure it is same for Triumph. What should I look for inspecting Triumph before buying?
The VFR is a great bike so I'm told, and I've had the 955i Sprint ST (check my other videos on the channel) make sure it's had the valve clearance service done on schedule, rear suspension service needs doing regularly too, ask to see/hear it start from cold, so you can check for Sator wear, Sprag clutch struggle, , and or reg/rectifier issues.
Apart from these common faults, they are generally VERY reliable bikes 🙂
I bought a 2003 955i sprint rs with 12500 miles for £1570 . Its immaculate. I bought it to use for track days (novice group) and it performs really well . Money will spent .
@@stuartosborn4785 you can't really go too far wrong with the 955i engines, and sounds like you did very well on the RS 😃
Not sure I'd trust a bike whose previous owner installed the windscreen well nuts upside down...LOL .I picked my 2005 off Ebay about 11 yrs ago.. The seller advertised it as in MINT condition, w/6880 miles, Sargent aftermarket seat, carbon hi-level exhaust by Matt Capri. PCIII. ..bidding was slow at $2700, only 3 bidders, few more watchers, 24 hrs later I won the bidding at $3500. Another $270 to ship and it was at my door a week later. It was absolutely MINT right down to the fasteners !! To be honest I was shocked after riding it.,...what a great road going sport bike . Seat sucked, sold that. Rectifier crapped out, fixed that.. I've owned many motorbikes like most, from CBRXX ZRX1200R, Duc999 ..ZX-11 I just couldn't believe what a great motorcycle this with it's stock SHOWA suspension, Nissin axial calipers, that amazing triple engine, .. induction , exhaust howl is as said 'addicting'. I purchased it to 'flip' as D955s were selling for around $4400-5500... but I ended up keeping it... Since I've added genuine Triumph NOS carbon fender, hugger, chain guard, heel guards, Renthal 17/46 sprockets. Completely diff bike when geared down. Owners should at minimum go down 1 front of go up 3 rear sprocket. Sold the exhaust and purchased a NIB TOR.. added a 2010 Speed Triple swinger, 190-55 rear tire, Tune ECU custom map. . It starts every day, and is very fast..pulls hard w/ gearing changes. Cheap to insure too !!
Glad to hear from another Triumph fan! sounds as though you truly enjoy your lovely bike Carl. Thanks for the comments 😁
I just restored a ~1000cc 97 T595 … If the Kraken made a noise, it would sound like it, and if Chuck Nauris would pick a bike, this would be it. Enough said.
In my top 5 bikes I've ever owned 😁
Handsome looking bike mate.
I've got the updated version coming to the channel soon too! So keep an eye out for that 😉
Im looking at a 2000 955i that doesn't run and needs title and some other work for $500 USD. Going to see if i can get it lots cheaper. You don't see these in my area. Plus the single side swingarm and undertail exhaust.
Sounds like a nice investment 😁
I'm hoping so. Looks like it's been setting a few years. What cable do I need to hook up to a laptop? Do you have a video of doing diagnostics or is the link just a tuner?
@@MONSTERXC70 Just head over to the link below, it's all explaimed there -

@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Thank you very much!
@@MONSTERXC70 No problem, good luck with it 😁
Please can you tell how did you make throttle bodys balance with TuneEcu? I think it need to be made mechanically
If I remember correctly, there is a drop down menu within TuneECU program, once you connect to the ODB port, you can do lots of different things, including loading new maps, TPS reset,. and I'm sure there is a sub menu to do the TB Balance too. But it's been a long time since I used the program personally.
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes maybe it is for daytona. On a 2004 S3, it need to be done with vacuum gauges
Forgot the indicator again 🧐
I'm surprised I remembered my helmet! 🤣
I miss mine 😕
I miss all mine
I have a 2004 ss had it 7 years in excellent condition. If anyone fancy’s one let me know, looking for an old man change.Great channel🏴
Thanks Paul 🙂
Sorry it’s a 2006 ss

I'm around 188cm and it fits me just fine. Hope that helps a little 😉
