Good to see Jackbie. That smile on houstons face is a smile from a dad that made him happy.your a great dad Daniel. Your a great and wonderful family ,and you make Jackbie fell like family❤love for the Arms Family Homestead! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love your videos! Jacobi and Houston remind me of my best friend and me as children. Fast forward he's 59 and I'm 57. We are still best friends, mutual best men at our weddings, and godfathers to our children!! Keep up the good work. Those boys will cherish your love and fatherly input forever!!
Love the the farm life you guys are raising really great family. This video was longer really enjoyed the water shots and seeing the time and effort you put in to spending quality time. Thank you for taking us along. God Bless Arms Family .
Once Houston discovers how much you fun it is to ride in the mud, he will be muddy all the time. What a blessing you have in that land. God bless Daniel may he shine the love of Jesus on someone who needs it.
Yeah I was wishing that dad would take some initiative and get him more involve... made me sad not seeing him do as much when you could tell on his face he wanted too
Great video- I did that with my kids back in the 80s. The store bought ones also can catch snakes, small turtles, even frogs . Be kind- leave the top of the trap just above the waterline so the snake or other air breathers can come up for air. Thanks.
I just made a homemade trap is with my brothers yesterday🙂.Tell Houston I said hey 👋. I love the vids so much as soon as a hear about them I go and watch them. My brother loves to watch y’all to
This is something we do about every other day! We use a store trap like yours and 3 or 4 bottles. We catch mainly crawdads. Tons of fun. We feed them to our chickens! Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us brother!
Jacoby has fans by saying nothing at all, lol. I'm glad he has Houston for a friend, and I'm glad they have you as their role modal, that does things with them!
How rude! " Jacoby what's on your face? Why do you look dirty ? " they are outdoors and kids will be kids, let him have fun it's ok! " Jacoby why are you sitting back there? You look like an inmate? " WTH ? Plus you had him sitting back there from the start! Sorry if I'm sensitive but what if the tables were turned and someone treated your son ON Camera that way? HUGE fan of jacoby 🌺💝
Fifty-three haters at the time of this posting. SMH I just don't know what is wrong with people. Yeah, Houston can hog the camera, at times, and there's never enough air-time for Bear, but nothing that would ever put the thought of a 'thumbs down' in my head!
Seriously cool stuff. They worked...NUFF SAID LOL. Ya'll are showing others who can't afford the store bought traps that there is still a way to do it. DIY Minnow trap specialists. 👍😁❤
I have a store trap rigged up with pieces of a clothes hanger to hold the bacon. I live in OKC so im not about to leave them out over night. But after 30-45 minutes, most of the time, I'll have 7-15 small sunfish for bait.
Well done, great production, informative, and best of all looks like fun, reminds me of my boys (and nephews and neighbors :) and me back in the day. Now I've got the grandson and granddaughter to show these things to. already have some plastic bottles of various sizes. My favorites are the rectangular juice bottles. (Welches etc.) they fit well together, and have large openings. A few more small holes will give the bread more flow out to attract fish, might give the store bought traps run for the..money? ha! Also great for public places such as lakes. If someone finds them..only out plastic bottle, not an expensive trap! And ya someone might say plastic bottles shouldn't be put in water, worse case, the bottles will sink and provide shelter for small fish to escape larger ones, thus increasing production of fish! And yup, put some bacon and dogfood in them and you'll have crawdads...they love that bacon! BTW my ears perked up when I heard Oklahoma, I'm an Okie myself:-) Great job! Good kids having fun...even the big kid lol
These boys are the perfect balance of each other. They both think the same. Jacoby seems very calculating and Houston is the narrator. Keep the passion young men!
Daniel...you are batting a thousand when it comes to losing Go-Pro's.....don't do it!. You are a trip...but thats what makes your channel so enjoyable...as always prayers with you and your fellow officers....😎🖒
At our lakeside cottage on a spring-fed lake in Maine, we used egg shells in our ‘Minnow Trap’ and caught lots of sunfish and crayfish. We’re going to try to make a Minnow Trap like yours. Itlooks awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🐟
The only problem with using bread is after the minnows eat it the yeast expands in their bellies especially in warm weather. When this happens they try to regurgitate it but the expansion is too rapid and it kills them. A good indication of this is if you notice your bait dying and bread is sticking out of their mouth. In warm weather and freshwater, I'd use dry dog food. For saltwater minnows (AKA Killies), I'd use a crush crab or clam. In both situations, a can of dog or cat food would also work in any temp. Just poke a few holes in the can on both sides so it sinks, and put it in the trap. Hope this helps! Keep up the great vids!!
It is crazy. How much you and your son look alike? That is so cool that your kids are left to go fishing. Some kids rather just stay at home and play video games.
I make those plastic traps for flies... not fishing flys, but the ones in the barn. Cheap and throwaways. Just hang a few from rafters, doorways or walls. You would be surprised at the amount flies they will catch!... BLOOD and rancid meat and/or guts and a bit of anything sweet to keep it moist is best bait.. You can't smell it from 5 foot away, but flies can and find the way in. Don't put holes in sides or cut off screw top threads, keep hole small. Flies will find blood anywhere, fast... Just throw away whole thing away when full.
Mr arms another great and wonderful video love it got to love bear good dog he loves you I can't wait for the next video much love from Atlanta Georgia
Suggestion: Not giving Houston any ideas... (I lied...yea, I am.. with dad's help... lol) try making a double bottle trap with 2 entrances, one on each end and test it side by side against single entrance and 'store bought' trap. If that entrance hole was 'taller' narrow slot and set at 90 degrees horizontal so fish would swim past end smelling bait and guided by the funnel sideways to the hole and they'll push thru slot into trap sideways. Those smaller Bluegills can get in and are not bright enough to turn sideways to get out.... Tight slot size for the size bluegill you want to trap and flimsy flap from bottle neck cut will be easy for them to push in and somewhat close behind them. Attach bottles together by slipping cut off bottom ends of bottles together and inserting into each other and 'glue' together with a solder iron or hot nail just poking a few holes on the overlapping plastic, bonding the plastic in a few places.. or use hot glue, but too hot of glue will distort plastic and make it a PITB to connect.. Dehydrated 'BassSnacks'!.... dried on a screen and packaged. (If Houston markets 'BassSnacks' I want in on the action!.... lol... jk...)
Smart idea to park your four wheeler on dry ground Houston, but I have it on good authority that there is nothing wrong with parking them in the mud too occasionally ;)
So , Huston has has Strep through 4 times in one year...so any or the dogs kiss directly in or on the mouth? I found out when my daughter was having the same problem...my daughter for strep everytime we went to my nieces house...a nurse let me know that the dog can harbor the strep. But doesn't really get sick . The cure is for the dog to take medicine the same time as the kiddos...
Nice homemade traps but I think you need a flap door to get the minnows out. Loved to see Jacoby even if he is shy. Enjoyed seeing the turkeys, wild hogs and deer from the camera. Hope y'all had a great holiday. Thanks!
My grandpa gave me a barrel fish net. But I got 5 crawfish 🦞 I let them go got 2 horn-pout. 2 big ones my grandpa had a catch clean grandpa clean and he cook he really did a find job ! I love dear meat 🥩. My grandma has good tasty recipes .,!
I’m curious, how many acres do you have? It was interesting to see the animals on your camera. Thanks for sharing. Also, thank you for your service as a state trooper.

God bless Daniel may he shine the love of Jesus on someone who needs it.
Love seeing little Jacobi. He somewhat quite but he’s listening and learning. He just so darn cute.
Yeah I was wishing that dad would take some initiative and get him more involve... made me sad not seeing him do as much when you could tell on his face he wanted too
These are some nice kids ! I have to think their parents must be exceptional people as well ! God bless you all.
Great video- I did that with my kids back in the 80s. The store bought ones also can catch snakes, small turtles, even frogs . Be kind- leave the top of the trap just above the waterline so the snake or other air breathers can come up for air. Thanks.

Why do people give you guys a thumbs down 63 of them?? You guys are the best channel ever!!!!!
Love you guys 👦
This is something we do about every other day! We use a store trap like yours and 3 or 4 bottles. We catch mainly crawdads. Tons of fun. We feed them to our chickens! Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us brother!
Jacoby is like Teller (Penn and Teller), he gets his point across with little to no talking at all. Wonderful smile! Take care all!
Coby spoke I had to reply it to make sure lol. Coby sure is a cute but shy kid. Just love it more when he joins in x
*wombate hawkins ... Houston needs to stop being the attention seeker‼️*
I think he's just camera shy.
The "thing" on his face was a shy smile. Jacobi is a very cute boy!
I agree
Same
That is melanin not mud lol
Z
Houston's explanation on who Jacobi is, great!
It is so much fun to watch the excitement of the boys ..thanks for sharing their adventure
I can see Houston with his own Huge channel ! He is really good at this stuff! Enjoyed it guys!
Jacoby has fans by saying nothing at all, lol. I'm glad he has Houston for a friend, and I'm glad they have you as their role modal, that does things with them!
Emma Dalrymple Yee I’m guna second that you took the words right out of my mouth ❤️🇬🇧
Yeah leave Jacob alone he's shy. See how he responded
What have you got on your face?
2nd inappropriate remark!
👹👌💕😏😘🙃😛😺😻😻
He looks like an inmate back there..... Now that was funny. True statement.
Houston your dad is right, four wheelers are made for playing in the mud
spending time with young boys in the outdoors like that is the best investment of his time a man can make. Those two boys are lucky.
jacoby is an absolute legend
Jacobi just fits in with the family he is just so cute giggling
Thank you Oklahoma for sending support to Carolina Coast! Love the traps!
I see 17 haters gave the video a thumbs down. Houston and Jacobi, I am your biggest fan.
Fifty-three haters at the time of this posting. SMH I just don't know what is wrong with people. Yeah, Houston can hog the camera, at times, and there's never enough air-time for Bear, but nothing that would ever put the thought of a 'thumbs down' in my head!
Up to 65 now! Turds!
@@willowsverge3046 LOL 😂
71 👎 I’m Fathomed why.. Good job & thanks❤️🇬🇧🍀 👏👏👏👍🌎❣️
140 now
I would say the home made trap worked pretty good, considering it would have and may end up in a land fill. It now can be used for the "bait trap"!
Seriously cool stuff. They worked...NUFF SAID LOL. Ya'll are showing others who can't afford the store bought traps that there is still a way to do it. DIY Minnow trap specialists. 👍😁❤

Lol bear is like hay dad im a good boy
You boys are having a lot of great adventures...keep it up!
You can always put a small hole on both sides of the middle of your home made traps and then use a stick or a tent peg to hold them in place.
Thumbs up, just cause those two boys are to darn cute. Way to have them out having fun and learning things..

Little blonde guy is a natural😄. I see a CZcams channel even before he’s driving! lol
Very cool underwater footage and wow Colby actually talked in this video lol.
Good to see you have plenty of help. Love the trail cam footage. 🤗

Just love to see a dad taking time with his son in the outdoors. Way too many families are raising “Man Babies “.
Love how excited Houston gets about hunting and fishing would love to fishing and hunting with y'all😍😍😍😍
Need to put holes in sides and bottom of home made traps for water flow through. Made many these myself for fishing bait.
Love it y'all sure have fun I would be doing the same thing if I had property like yours kids are having a great time......
good Times on the Arms Family Homestead ..🐟 🐡🐟 🐡.loving that gopro footage. !! 😍👍💓💗💖

Loved the GoPro! Bear really wants to be the star of the channel! Be safe!💕
BFF for ever...
Be the neck of the bottle. Love y'all. Happy labor day weekend
This guy is really good.
Really enjoyed this video of the kids are adorable
Well I guess you can say that the “homemade” trap is store bought be cause you bought the soda from a store😁😁👍
I make those plastic traps for flies... not fishing flys, but the ones in the barn. Cheap and throwaways. Just hang a few from rafters, doorways or walls. Loved the underwater fish at the end!
growing up our traps were made of jars and wire screen funnels
I like the video from the Go-Pro cool to see under water.. When I see turkeys I can't help but think Thanksgiving on two legs...
Please try licorish or red vine is works I have used it as bate
Great video as allways. I guess I gotta go get some traps for my grandson
I like Jacoby. I am glad DJ found Jamie and they became friends. Good friends are hard to find. When it happens try to keep it going
Try painting the store bought trap white or sliver and you’ll catch more bait. The theory is that the black color scares the fish.
Good to see some youngsters - learning about fishing & nature 👍 👌 👈
I like this video thank you for having a child that looks like me in your video
Mr arms another great and wonderful video love it got to love bear good dog he loves you I can't wait for the next video much love from Atlanta Georgia
Nice's to see your videos and I like your videos its funny 😂 🤣😂😂😂😂😂
A awesome family God bless
Really enjoyed your video. Very sharp son!!
I made a video kind of like this with a storebought fishtrap and my homemade fish trap too. Video was great!
Houston and Jacobi are such sweet friends pls tell Houston that’s a cool trap❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜💖💖💖
You guys make some awesome video Houston the fishermen and hunter
Hi daniel..my daughter had sent you and Emma and Houston brachlets she made and we wanted to make sure you got them😆
Yep, the kids loved them. Emmalee makes a few and she really liked the design.
Try onion in the trap for bluegills and green sunfish!! Works great in Arkansas
We used cornmeal in our homemade traps but we would stand in the creek and hold it under the water. It was alot of fun.
Thanks guys I enjoyed your video, I did that with my kids when they were little 😁😁😁
Creative! I'm going to go make mine now!
Like to see you show Your dogs more and play time with them.
2 cute little boys being raised right❤️👍🇺🇸
Whether it is store or homemade, you have proven both work. If someone is tight budgeted, they could use the homemade and still catch bait.
Send some of that rain up north. I live in Colorado and we haven't had rain in forever
Good video
Thanks for information about traps.
Thank you for sharing and God bless.
I’m jealous because some of my cousins live in Oklahoma! Love your videos (I live in Wisconsin)
why is that your profile pic
Totally enjoyed this refreshing video. The kid and the dogs are awesome!
You're the best CZcamsr

Hello Jacoby. So nice to meet you. I love how you are loving to Jacoby.

Thank you for sharing this. Loved it!
Bear sure aint camera shy, beautiful animal
Houston look up four leaf clover traps that was the only ones we used we made are own they are great traps.
That was really interesting to see which worked best out of the two kinds of traps! I have thought about making some of the bottle traps!
Yea!!! Daniel said, "Pop", not 'soda'! It was awesome how Jacoby's face lit up when you spoke with him!
Bear!!!!!
You guys should also try cat/dog food in them those work well, great video guys.
We always used can dog food for bait....worked fantastic......
Nice homemade traps but I think you need a flap door to get the minnows out. Loved to see Jacoby even if he is shy. Enjoyed seeing the turkeys, wild hogs and deer from the camera. Hope y'all had a great holiday. Thanks!
