- A quick guide on how to replace the front brake pads on a Fiat 500 / Panda / Punto with some tips I found helpful. Most of the Fiats use the same chassis components hence why the guide is the same for a variety of Fiat.
I have replaced these pads on a Fiat Panda and a Punto and it is exactly the same.

Thanks for the info very clear .... fyi Im a woodworker so have used a £4 g cramp to push pistons in in the past on other cars ... . Off to fix my sisters fiat now ! 🙂
Thanks for your time and effort. Precisely what I needed to know with no mechanic jargon.
I'll be changing my pads Sunday afternoon.
Regards...
Great straightforward video. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you very much for the video. Top job.
great video thank you very much
Hey! Thanks for the video.
A very helpful video, thanks!
Thanks for commenting I hope it helped
I like the text you placed in. Thanks! Question: Do you know if the wheel speed sensor is located near the calipers or in the wheel hub? Mine aren’t working correctly
Could let's us know which tools we need to use?
Nice Car
Question why u didn’t change your rotors ?
Normally you don't change rotors for just maintenance. They don't or shouldn't wear as much or as fast.
Why no copper grease on the pads,? I thought that was a must to stop them squealing
I didn't use copper grease and there was no squealing. I have never had brakes squeal. Its worth using though just encase. Since this video I have started to use copper grease on all pad changes as a precaution.
Thanks for confirming. Just followed your video to do the wife's 500, it was a big help!
A great product and should be used on every pad change and bolt/nut removed (unless it needs threadlock) Stops corrosion, squeal and makes the job a lot easier next time. Don't ever put it in bearings though like my numpty mate did!
Ha, cool cat intro
Nathaniel Lewis thanks banjo
A very useful tip is to use copper grease on the retaining pins, it stops them corroding into the calipers and makes them a synch to remove next time
God I just want to check the brake pads and know if they need to be replaced. No videos anywhere for that.
The car should tell you if they need replacing, as brake pads have a wear sensor in them.
Them discs are fucked
