I just bought a 2017 Outback Premium certified pre owned and find it very relaxing and smooth ride. I have a 2021 Outback loaner recently and find it a little stiffer and less relax than my 2017. I think, if you like a relax hwy cruiser, you’ll stick with 2015-2019 Outback which is Gen 5 !

It's amazing to see the price of this car in 2015 compared to car prices in 2023

I have a 2016 2.5 limited in ice silver I bought in July of 2016 and I absolutely love it. Top safety pick plus. My next one will be the touring model as it wasn’t an option in 2016. Great review.

This year model does not have adaptive headlights. It does have steerable fog lights however.

Take this thing off road(not rock crawling) and tell me that it’s not off-road capable. It may be no Jeep, but it will surprise a lot of people!

Not the greatest. My no means a truck but yes impressive

Correct. I had a 2016 premium model and took it on some ridiculous terrain.

Great review! Anyone know if these models the second row passengers windows roll all the way down?

$17,995? this must have been before the chip shortage...

Yep. I’ve been looking into 2015 Outback limited models without an accident and under 100,000 miles and they seem to go between 20-27k now. Crazy.
I’ve been looking to upgrade my 2012 Limited but I think I’ll hold onto it for now

@@colechapman3382that’s way overpriced I’d pay between 13k and 16k for one with that mileage

I had the same model and thought I had to downsize for financial reasons at the time. Should have drank less down the pub and kept it really, a superb car. Pricey now for the same :(

Yes, we have a 2017 Touring model, 4 cyl, plenty of power for us. The only thing I don't like is the size and position of the clock, 1/2" high down by the a/c controls. Not a big deal. I doubt I would ever want the all controlling touchscreen n the motor shuttting off at every. stop.

Just got my 2015 limited and definitely agree it’s so hard to see the time 😂

I agree about the power, once you get used to the CVT it could fly without much effort, especially in S mode.

The door panel bottom sections are cheap molded plastic. Hence they vibrate with louder and heavier base coming from the speakers.

    • @m-cw7er
      @m-cw7er Před rokem

All manufacturers make them plastic now and there must be something wrong with the one you were in because mine does not do that

The angle of the infotainment screen causes it to completely disappear in bright sunshine.

I got a 4 yr old second hand Outback in 2020 and only cost £19,000 from a Subaru dealer. 1 previous owner, 32k on clock and FSH. Prices are a joke now.

The 2.5 litre is too slow... The 2.5 litre turbo engine is far to thirsty....

I had the 2015 Premium Outback and it burned 3/4 quart of oil every 3000 miles, a total POS. I won't ever buy a Subaru again.

The 2021 Mazda turbos burn oil like that I don’t have any problem with my Subarus. I love them.

On my Subaru Outback 2015 3.6 EyeSigh will drive by itself and follow the road(Also brake and accelerate and drive around other slower cars!)...most of the time...of course, you watch and, well sometime YOU go to do the driving or you'll end up in the ditch! Still, it is surprising good and impressive, after seven years!
