  • This week on the Under The Skin podcast I spoke with comedian, author and film director Richard Ayoade. Richard Ayoade is amazing. I fell sort of gently in love with him. We spoke about fame and navigating the media, the art of comic performance and intention, the difference between greatness and mediocrity and lots and lots more!
Richard’s new book Ayoade On Top is out now!

@Q My memory of growing up watching Russell Brand movies, or Richard Ayoade's shows knows that Russell has long wavy/curly hair with no facial hair, and Richard has a nice curly fro with minimal facial hair. Now Russell has ponytailed his aging hair, with a Karl Marx beard, and Richard is going for the 'dad trying to look young look' with his now close-to-nothing fro, and no facial hair. Also, it's weird seeing Richard not wear a suit.

Completely disagree. He's confident in his work and his sense of humor but his modesty and awkwardness is not in any way an act. He's not a show off so much as he is someone who's comfortable enough doing what he does.
