Insane man, hats off to you for taking the time. You nailed everything we were going for and it's so insane to hear how well our vibe is translating. We love playing but we really want the whole song to move people more than "impress" them. Eh I guess a little of both doesn't hurt haha but I wana add to the music that's out there now and leave an emotional impression above all else. I managed to catch them on tour in like 2016/17 with Outrun The Sunlight. I drove 4 hours to see them and they were PHENOMENAL. Super tight, amazing presence, and just the kindest people. Everything they release is gold and I'm always impressed.

Love love LOVE this band. Literal tears at every new song drop - they have an ability to create grand, emotional movements like no one else.
Unrelated, I’d love to see a reaction to a little group called Hailaker. Similarly orchestral, but in a more folksy vein. Started by Ed Tullett of Novo Amor. Ed’s not very well known stateside, but dude is a hitmaker. Everything he touches, while not putting up huge numbers, is incredible. He more than deserves a proper boost.
Their track Rainmaker is delicately layered and spirit-liftingly beautiful. Coma/Smoke is like folk prog - what a story, and moves the soul. Unfortunately, there are no videos. 😢

And I totally agree, this band...this track right here, is probably the best songwriting I have ever heard. First 1.18 secs hits me in the guts. Beautiful.
And while Adam is disarming, Aviations as a whole is setting you free. It´s fu....amazing. And it´s currently not a disadvantage to have, probably the best drummer in the world, playing in your band.
As I understand, this track has been on it´s way for a very long time, and it just goes to show, that if you put the right ingredients in the mix, and enough time in the oven, the cake will be epic!
@aviationsband - don´t go commercial! - keep inspiring us! - and ask yourself....is a yellow bass faster to play on. It damn well is!

Listen to the band "Native Construct" - James from Aviations used to be with them and they WILL scratch your prog itch. They dont sound like anyone else.

It's easy to get lost in the harmonies and flavor, but give it a listen through while focusing on the drums. You're only as good as your drummer and this band is very good.
If you love Aviations, I genuinely think you'd love The Contortionist, I also think the boys in Aviations would agree :)
So glad you got back onto these guys, every single song they release meets their unbelievably high standards. This song is off their upcoming album Luminaria which they’ve also released a few other singles from already, Pure is their most recent single, I think you’d like that a lot.
