Taurus SC is a great termite treatment for around your home or business and will last up to 10 years when trenched. To do a termite job you will need to trench around your home 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep filling the hole with taurus and fipronil as you put the dirt back in.

    He forgot to treat the back filled dirt , - so there is a nice safe bridge at the surface for them to cross over into your foundation through and no toll road charge!

    Thank you for this video. I have used your trench technique and Taurus AC solution ratio on two of my homes that had termites. I also spray around my foundation, brick and surrounding soil every 6 months. Works 🥰.

      @Break Free Crew Taurus SC. You can spray around 🚪, garage door, openings around your house bc of pipes.. That keeps them out. If you have an infestation already, you have to figure out what kind of termite and take it from there. This video helps with keeping them out and subterranean termites. Seek someone more experienced than me. I'm just going off my diy knowledge.

      @JohnWickkkk The instructions doesn't recommend it. But you can use it in crawlspaces. Maybe the manufacturer doesn't want to be held liable if the solution somehow comes in contact with food products or animals. It is a bug poison after all.

    He appears to be using only 50% of the recommended amount as others have commented. I believe he added 0.8oz to the empty bucket but did not show it in the video. When he added the Taurus SC, he mentioned to add the 0.8oz AGAIN.

      He is doing the job correctly by measuring .8 oz of solution per gallon of water. 4 gallons of water or Finished Dilution is called for treatment of 10 linear feet but you have the option to use .8 or 1.2 or 1.6 depending on if you found signs of termites or not. This man in this video is doing the job a little bit slower because he chose to treat 5 feet at a time instead of treating 10 feet which the instructions called for. It will be easier on his back and less of a chance of spilling on himself.

    I'm confused you said to add .8 ounces into 1 gallon. In the video you had your one gallon of water and you added the point 8 ounces correct? But then you added another gallon of water into it so aren't you off ratio technically? Now in the bucket you have two gallons of water with .8 ounces or am I missing something?

      mils, nitrile rubber ≥ 14 mils, neoprene rubber ≥ 14 mils, natural

    • @BrianStanfill

      Instructor mixes 0.8oz with 1 gallon of water, then adds another gallon of water, then treats 5 lineal feet. The product documentation says to use 0.833oz of product per gallon, and to use 4 gallons of mixed product solution per 10 lineal feet. So it seems like the instructor is diluting the solution to 50% of the recommended treatment. Another way to look at this: the 20oz bottle yields 24 gallons of finished solution. You need 4 gallons of solution per 10 lineal feet. One 20oz bottle of product will mix with 24 gallons of water to treat 60 lineal feet (24 gallons / 4 gallons * 10 feet).

    Seems like if you just poured it around the base of the perimeter of the house (without trenching), that would soak the top 6 inches of soil and prevent termites from marching up into the wood. I mean, do they get through foundation? Yes, I'm lazy.

    These directions are incorrect. It should be .8 Oz per gallon. When he instructs how to mix chemical he says, " put one gallon of water into bucket, add .8oz of taurus sc then add another gallon of water." That would make the finished dilution only having .04oz per gallon.

    • @RK-eo8gl
      @RK-eo8gl Před 3 měsíci

      It (Taurus sc) can last for up to 10 yrs. It depends on where you live for example if you live in a damp climate like Florida you'll need to re apply more often, probably after 5 to 7 years I'm guessing. Just need to check for signs of termites annually.

  • @lisabrown7276

    Is it 1 gallon or 2 gallons per .8 ounce? You put in a gallon then added .8 oz then you added another gallon?

    • @RK-eo8gl
      @RK-eo8gl Před 3 měsíci

      The instructions recommend mixing in .8 oz of Taurus sc to every gallon of water for "most treatments" or simplified for every linear 10 feet you will use 4 gallons of finished solution (meaning add (.8×4) 3.2 oz of Taurus SC to 4 gallons of water). If you had seen signs of termites or termite damaged wood, you will want to either mix 1.2 oz or 1.6 oz per gallon of water. Personally, I found termites outside the perimeter of my house but not under crawlspace therefore I will choose to mix 1 oz of solution to every gallon of water to work with and hope for the best.

    So this Taurus SC anyone can purchase, but you have to be a certified termite inspector to use "Termidor HE"? Does this process protect the garage and does not require drilling? I am not trying to do this myself, but I am trying to determine which termite control service to use in NC. One use "Termidor HE" and the other uses "Taurus SC". Lastly, the termite inspector using the "Taurus SC" does not require the NC State inspector but the service using the "Termidor HE" does? Sorry for so many questions.

      The instructions recommend that you mix ".8 oz or 1.2 oz or 1.6 oz" per gallon of water depending on your termite situation. This info is found on page 8 and 9 (and page 27 describes the applications) in the tiny instruction book. If you haven't seen signs of termites .8 oz will work fine but if you know there is an infestation mix 1.2 or 1.6 oz of Taurus SC solution to every gallon of water in my opinion. If you are living in California the directions are different.

    wouldn't it be better just to dig a 5ft trench at a time, pour the fipronil, add back the top dirt, then dig adjacent another 5ft trench and repeat? instead of digging all around the house at first? Also, if you use a mud dam, how is the fipronil getting into the area that was dammed up?

      TheAAOinfin just dig about a 6" deep trench around perimeter and put 2 gallons per 10' in it. Treat the soil as it's back filled into the trench. Buy an electric pump, 25 gal or whatever. It will be much cheaper than paying a company to do it if that's what you're trying to do. You'll probably do a better job than some idiot from a pest control compamy.

Listen to it again and see when he actually says only after adding .8 to a gallon THEN dilutes it with another gallon and calls THAT a finished solution!! Thats .8 to TWO gallons!! That is wrong!! IT's .8 to EACH gallon!

I spray it in my basement, and in a few days I would see a dead bugs out in the open, It works very well. Used it for yrs Comes in big jug with attached sprayer.
