2020-2021 we had a GDP increase of 10.71% however, inflation levels increased by 3.6%. and spending was $3.72 trillion.
2021-2022 we had a GDP increase of 9% However, inflation levels increased by 3.3%. and spending was $3.87 trillion
And to make it all more fun we spent $6.3 trillion in 2023, and so far in 2024 we have spent $5.02 trillion so far.
So technically you are right about not fitting the exact description of a Recession. But you are also very disingenuous when you use cherry picked metrics. Personally I am not a fan of measuring GDP, because as a business you can make say $2.2 million in a year, but that isn't a good number if you spent $4.6 million against that income...... I don't suppose you went to the same econ classes as AOC?

I have never voted and I leaned more toward Republicans although in the way past I leaned toward a couple of democrat presidents. This year I have done a lot of and I mean a lot of research past and present Dems and republicans non presidents like speakers of the house senators, etc. I’ve watched a lot of interviews on Biden which I never cared for him ever, I also watched Trump, Kamala and other interviews and I came to the conclusion that the only honest person who stood out to me was Trump. Yet he mouthed a bit when I first started watching his videos it kinda reminded me of my mother which I loved so much she was so funny though. Trump just speaks his mind he’s sharp, he’s smart, I seen him on Oprah Winfrey years ago I was impressed very much so. Biden was caught in so many lies over the years and Kamala well I think a 5th grader is smarter than her she just is not knowledgeable and smart and sharp enough to lead our country. I’m 67 years old and this is the worse I have ever ever seen our country in. I hope you do more research and find it in your heart to make the right choice God bless our country.

Realize that the average person would be a little more understanding of higher taxes, if somehow they benefitted us. But send 100's of billions to the Ukraine? With more billions going to other corrupt governments that just seems to wind up in the pockets of special interests is not something most of us can stomach.
