- That thing has killed 3 of my agents!
It's a genuinely interesting game, encountering new Abnormalities and figuring out their deal is fascinating and the Sephirah are very interesting in their own right.
I like this game.

Lobotomy Corporation is an indie horror strategy management simulation video game for Microsoft Windows developed and published by South Korean studio Project Moon in April 2018. The sequel, deck-building game Library of Ruina, was released for Windows and Xbox One in August 2021.[1] The third installment, dungeon role-playing game Limbus Company is in development.
The Player, who is referred as "X," is the manager of an underground power company called "Lobotomy Corporation" that harvests energy from strange beings known as "Abnormalities." They are tasked with overseeing the process and must command their employees to "work" on these Abnormalities in order to fill the daily "quota" of energy, but must also suppress them in order to place them back in their containment if they breach.
The meta of the game is divided between two different phases: preparation and management (the latter of which is the "meat" of the game). The preparation determines the management phase: in it, the player can hire new employees, boost existing employees' stats (Fortitude, Prudence, Temperance, and Justice), assign them to different departments, and equip them with E.G.O weapons and suits. The management phase consists of sending these employees to extract energy from Abnormalities. The success of this process can vary wildly depending on the circumstances of the work, as each Abnormality has its unique set of traits that determine how it will behave and what dangers it poses. What makes things challenging is that information about these traits isn't available from the get-go, and the player must discover them through trial and error by earning information points, which are gained through the aforementioned work process, and can be used to learn specific traits of the Abnormality, such as work preferences, breach behavior and (only if the player has collected enough information) weapons and armor.
Once enough energy is collected, the player can end the day and have their performance rated from S (the best) to F (the worst). This rating is influenced by how many employees survived the day, and is directly proportional to the reward the player will receive, which are "LOB" points, which the player can use to promote existing employees or hire new ones. A penalty is applied to the amount of "LOB" points received at the end of the day based on the danger levels of the Abnormalities that breached during the day. Should the player decide to continue, they will (usually) be forced to choose new Abnormalities out of a selection of three. The only information given about the selectable Abnormalities is their classification numbers and a small text meant to describe them in an intriguing yet mystifying way. Once an Abnormality is chosen, it is added with the rest and the preparation phase begins again. As each day passes, the game will select more difficult Abnormalities for the player to choose from. - Hry
Fair warning: this game can get pretty unfair at times, and if the game throws a tough abnormality at you, there's no shame in restarting the day or going back to a memory repository to keep abno info and gear.
I'll keep that in mind, I might need to swallow my pride on certain occasions, it does seem like things can go real wrong, real quick
@@ForemanPlaysStuff it is almost - if not outright - impossible to soft-lock yourself, but it can get extremely excruciating if you keep forcing your way through rough patches
“I’m not running a slave labor mine here”
That’s hilarious! Almost made me think that he wasn’t.
Gotta keep up the appearance of empathy, good for employee morale

Haven't found very many playthroughs of this, it is hilarious seeing someone get their first dangerous anomalies and freak out. The game WANTS you to restart a lot and there are some anomalies that REQUIRE you to kill a certain amount of your people each day
I'm honestly surprised, it's a brilliant game and feels good to record, especially on a first time playthrough.
Yeah I eventually learn how necessary it is to restart, especially when taking heavy or unnecessary losses
"is the overarching plot gonna be you attempting to leave?" "would it even be your body? its still just a shell."
damn, foreman, is the first episode, slow down on literally predicting LITERALLY ALL OF ANGELA'S GOALS/INSECURITYS
Ppodae is love,
Ppodae will commit
one felony at a time,
if you don't pick Instinct
Ahh, the first real danger to my employees, good times...
holy that dog murdered 3 people
watching lobotomy corporation after watching library of ruina gameplay feels like a breath of fresh air
came back from future episodes. arang, foreman's first ever agent, really has gone so far
Good to still see new playthroughs of the Project moon games while we wait for Limbus
So far i'm genuinely invested, the game is fascinating
for employees you want both, obviously you'll want to have at least 1 person who you can trust with everything, but generally you want a lot of employees who can handle themselves and depending on the abnormality handle them, what you want is basically good numbers and good people, AND BE SURE TO READ, ITS OK TO TAKE BREAKS, sephiria's ( i forget how to spell) missions are vital be sure to at least try to complete them, the skull on the cross is your bro, once you know what a meltdown does it gets a lot easier, the people who walk around and are not your emplyees are clerks they may shoot abnormalities but rarely do anything noteworthy, and to answer you question "comparativley we are not the worst but its still bad"
important:
Time travel doesnt matter you get to keep your things
And dont be afraid to "waste" a day to learn what an abno (abnormality) does and then reset and by time travel i refer to go back a few or many days to do the missions or if you need an armor from an abno but cant handle the abno now you can get the armor and go back in time youll keep the armor, and REMEMBER TO EQUIP THINGS
This is all good stuff, I can tell this game is going to get a lot more hectic as time goes on but if I can get a good start, that seems like it'd help a lot
I'm really excited to continue this, planning to record more really soon
i absolutely love mili's music so i want to play library of ruina, but im horrible at managment games. so excited to learn the lore of lobotomy corp without losing my own sanity points!
I'll take the sanity damage on your behalf lol
aw mate, love to see a Lob Corp playthrough pop up, especially with commentary like this.
The game itself is excellent but the story attached to it is just something else entirely, one of the best I've played in a while. Hope to see more episodes of this !!
p.s: If you're curious about each abnormality's deal, you can check their story on a tab in their research window. The story only completes itself once you've unlocked all info on the abnormality, so be mindful of that if you're trying to read them.
p.s.s: You can restart days through the menu and recover your dead employees while sacrificing your process. Those memory repositories will have wider and wider gaps between them and you might roll back a couple days if you're not careful.
It's a stellar game, really looking forward to doing more
These are good to know, thanks for the heads up!
Easily the most overwhelming tutorial I've ever experienced. But it definitely wasn't enough to prepare me for what comes next haha
Started watching this recently, and the INSTANT I saw you pick Ppodae I was waiting for the kill
So one thing that is interesting about this game, everything that you see in this game is related to the lore (like the UI elements, the restart button and even the artstyle). That's why some UI elements and game functions are locked behind research. You'll understand more as the story progresses.
I've started to learn this, things are getting VERY interesting to me
I'm here from the future, starting my binge of this series now. I didn't get here in time to say this, but: Good luck.
Pride is an enemy.
Due to your excessive blunders, your cute Dog has destroyed half of agents like ''HE''
Yay, a new Lobotomy let's play, with luck we'll get a new fan on PM's games xD
It's certainly looking that way, I'm already interested in checking out their other stuff, but I'll focus on this one first
41:22 Theory: the AI's were created from living brains. Hence why it is called the 'Lobotomy Corporation'. Both the Halo and Portal franchise touch on the same subject. As for what that means for your future prospects, well...
There is not an insignificant chance that you might be added to the collection of digital waifus.
Anyway, that's my impression having no experience with the game outside of this.
Yaaaay! More LobCorp lets plays! Im joining the bandwagon for this one, its an amazing game!
The game is fantastic, I fell in love with it almost immediately
"Not like the number 2, basic as shit." Damn right, even numbers are boooooring.
Anyway, CZcams recommended me episode 19 of this series, despite me never searching this game up, never having seen your channel, and not usually watching let's plays.
I'm glad it did, I'm enjoying this quite a bit! Subbed!
I know we are at currently episode 6, but I will go crazy if I do all 6 in one go. Its better to done one by one, it helps me organize myself too.
Having said that,
Lets. Get. This. Going.

Coming back to this to say HE FUCKING BEAT IT EVERYONE
Just subbed to your channel recently. Your playthroughs have been a great help since i really love the story of limbus company but wanted to understand the lore and story of the teo previous games without playing
Glad to see a new person playing this
I'm amazed how hyped everyone is for this game. I can see why though, it's a very interesting experience thus far
It is always nice to see new people find themselves to one of PM's games.
Hope you're able to enjoy the game and potentially the series.
As a warning, I highly recommend avoiding the abnormality O-05-47 unless you're trying to '100% complete' the game.
Also yes, it's good to know that the next day does not start until you get to the next day's management screen.
This was a joy to watch though, I'm excited to see more!
I'm really glad I got to record it, also lucky it went on sale, looking forward to seeing what horrifying bullshit the game has in store for me.
I'll try and remember that, these early Abnormalities are dangerous enough as it is
Thanks! I'm genuinely eager to explore this bizarre setting and every new Abnormality is an interesting and exciting experience
@@ForemanPlaysStuff The game absolutely tests a person's capacity for awareness and such, the whole experience is a learning one though and I feel you're doing great so far!
Little fun fact, the round caged abnormalities are from backers of the game's early development, like Ppodae; so they're a bit unbalanced compared to the others, but can still be fun and interesting to have.
I've since learned that the key seems to be to take it slow and make calculated risks, luckily the game encourages retries so I've just gotta be careful really
That is fun! I kinda like the idea that they aren't all tightly balanced because it adds an air of unpredictability to each new specimen, you truly have no idea what you're gonna get each time
the advice i give newbies is "dont worry it gets worse"
I really did get that impression upon first playing it. But ya'll know me, I love being stressed
always love to see a playthrough of this game, it's so underrated
It really is, I'm having a fantastic time with it!
Where it all began.
Here for the first time as I'm one of ProjectMoon's fans.
You're pretty entertaining to watch, and I enjoy your commentary while playing this!
Keep up the good work and godspeed!
Just started watching this series - hope you're having fun! Thanks for the vid
I'm honestly surprised with how quickly you're picking stuff up, everyone else I watch it takes forever for them to realize they can just grind abnormalities after the quota is reached, in the early days where things are relatively safe.
Man this looks sick!
Nice channel, dude. And you're right: the fact that you record games that you are more personally invested in does make the content far more enjoyable. Your commentary is really nice.
Cant wait to watch this series! Hope you play the sequel after this as well :D thanks for being awesome
The creatures have background information but you can walk for each one
I'll make sure to go through those, thanks!
The start of something truly beautiful
Alright, you earned a sub. Looking forward to your future content.
Always brightens my day to hear that, thank you very much!
That 6 Quid changed you a lot huh
Yeah for real, a lot has happened
Oh, don't you worry, you will know what the One Sin is :)
Edit: my god, getting wiped out by Ppodae and Old Lady, this is great content xD
Ahh the good old days when those things were all I had to worry about
The gameplay of this is unique. I'm not sure if it was the most polished thing ever (even if it's deliberately supposed to be unfairly hard with surprises there are some signs it's not fully polished) but I do like it even if a lot of fans say the sequel is better. I also don't like deck building games since I like bloated decks and difficulty is balanced around trimmed decks.
I've never played anything quite like this, it is indeed a unique experience. It might not be polished but I'd almost say that lends itself to the game feel. The abnos don't play fair and are (in a sense) overpowered because they're supposed to be, you're trying to exploit creatures that could destroy settlements, countries, or even cause apocalyptic events. They are way beyond the capabilities of standard humans, which means casualties will be high.
Now, speaking objectively, that's probably not good from a game design perspective, but I like the idea nonetheless
NGL this dude sounds like Wheatley from Portal 2
i go down and i see the key moments of a cooking video i watched earlier, apparently this is a cooking video.
I love how the puppy has a douchey tribal tattoo
good luck with your new job, both this one and irl
Thanks! Not sure which one is most likely to kill me
Ahh osha violation sim
Was looking for a YTber who did a let's play of LC since I recently got invested into the Project Moon universe. Guess I'll have to watch all of your content now. Hopefully you did a 100% clear of the game since I want to see all of the lore of the game as to understand Library of Ruina and Limbus Company.
I was browsing CZcams and I see you have played Lobotomy Corp and are currently playing Library of Ruina! Helluva 6 Quid huh. I'm excited to watch your series though it'll take a while to catch up to present day. I absolutely love this game series and considering I see you have beaten this game, I can only guess what tremendous pain awaits your playthrough,
Edit: Love your humor already
Gotta love some Lobcorp playthroughs.
I've been having a blast, the game is fantastic
Good video
just do what the abnormality likes unless it says so or you are testing the waters, time travel is not bad you can go back in time
It was equal parts testing the waters and just me not knowing what was going on. Definitely gonna follow that advice after the fiasco with the dog, bloody hell
Rather than Qliphoth, just say Q. It makes it much easier, lol.
100% gonna do that from now on
@@ForemanPlaysStuff no one asked but it's pronounced "cliff-ot" if you want to know anyway
a lot of the names in this game aren't pronounced the way they're spelled, so it's pretty difficult trying to read them out loud lmao
For the lads coming here from the LoR series or just rewatchers, keep at it 👍 .
Spoiler warning:
13:46. God DAMN
idk wtf is happening but someone just got beat to life and a dog killed people
I'm here to watch you suffer LOL. I just recently finished this game.
There’s plenty of suffering to come!
well.... I guess its good that I never did the tutorial
I’ll be honest, the company that made this game and the sequel are absolutely amazing in basically every part of their game production (especially music). But the information dump of the tutorial are just one of the areas where they are not as good sadly
19:34 adding salt to a pie is not hilarious it's disgusting. Worst of all you don't wanna throw it away because it looks just the same.
I mean, if it's a steak & ale or chicken & mushroom pie then you've lucked out
@@ForemanPlaysStuff Why would you add sugar in the first place though? You do add sugar to BBQ but not to steak directly.
14:13 ahem, is the human flesh not simply a shell for the vices and virtues that are our true selves.
(This is a joke, PM has fucked my brain so hard that i think randomly spouting philosophical shit is funny)
funny
damn i am stuck to the bad pc chains so i cant play it, because of that i will stay here in youtube lol
Did not expect this, and i forgot it existed....again. Iv seen people play this and honestly, I DONT GET IT! What exactly are we doing here besides exposing people to what appear to be Occult manifestations of Emotions?
As far as I can tell we're harvesting energy from the Abnormalities by stimulating/interacting/provoking them, they seem to produce a power source of some kind
Everything is fine until you get Aleph.
I am very much looking forward to having the facility constantly descend into complete chaos and anarchy
@@ForemanPlaysStuff This game is not going to disappoint you.
Wow, that's the worst tutorial I have ever been exposed to ...
