My grandparents got one of these, they ain't just for seniors lol , but they had like 6 salesman there and they were all cheesey and pushy, she wanted Kohler or American standard but they were mean and over 20 freaking thousand , they have an independent home tub and it was rhe only company well under 20 k
😂 lucky for me I am an installer plumber, electrical and carpenter. I don’t need to worry about any installation. The question is should I buy one now that I’m young so when I get older
I just watched a post by a woman about why to NOT get a walk-in tub. While she raises the issue of 20 minutes fill time ( I thought there were-quick fill options) her other complaints seemed like her own stupid problems; she knocked over her shampoo, spilling her wine on her dog, and had to get her husband to come. It seems to me that maybe she is missing the point of a walk-in; it is safer for seniors, and you can get the water up around your aching back and shoulders. Maybe she should leave the dog outside the bathroom, put a small stand or bench where the dog was, but you shampoo and stuff on that, and stop sounding sounding like a brat with nothing but 1st world complaints maybe ?
Much like lift recliners, they're a waste of money more often then not, as the person you buy it for moves, goes into a care facility or dies before they can get adequate use out of it. Unlike lift recliners or other senior assist goods you can't pick up a used one on FB Marketplace or Craigslist and bring it home. You also have to consider the effect it might have on the value of the home when it gets sold, esspecially if you need the funds for that person's further care. My dad loved his, but he seemed to forget that Mom lived there too and she hated the thing, as did all us able bodied souls who had to use it when we visited. Not saying that will be everyone's experience, as everyone's situation is different, but I'd grade ours a C-.
You have to sit in them for about 8 minutes for them to fill up and then sit and wait in it to drain so you can get out, i wouldn't fancy that in the winter 😂
We just bought a house and it has one in it. I despise that thing. You have to sit down to even close the door and to open after it drains. Don’t even think about trying to shower in it. Also, our gas water heater is pretty big but this thing takes so much water it runs out of hot. BTW, I’m older and retired and looking for someone to remove it and install a big walk in shower.
My elderly father is in need of a walk in bathtub but unfortunately the state of New Mexico were we reside does not carry this item and they do not modify dwelling for people with disabilities .😔
I’m not a senior but these look cozy. I want one 😂
me too. I'm trying to convince my mom, mainly for me lol

This would be great for my mom who is wheelchair bound

My grandpa had one of these at his house and I spent the night a few times and this thing was awesome

You DON'T HAVE TO BE OLD OR DISABLED to use it though. That makes like, NO SENSE! It's LITERALLY just an accessible tub
Upwards of $4,000? If I saw one of these that only cost 4K I know it would be absolutely crap.
I have chronic neck pain so regular tubs make it worse. I’ve always wanted a tub with better neck support.

I wondered how that works. I mainly take showers but it would be nice to take a tub bath on ocassion even with it taking that long.
@nunyadamnbizness9600 yes I like having a bath, especially when you're tired 🤣

My dad needs one of these. It sucks that the bath and shower is up stairs, but he has a hard time in the tub.

I am disabled and looking for one. I don't know how much space it takes we s do to me being in a wheelchair
You must sit in the tube close the door and wait till the water rises. Then you sit in the tube as the water drains? I’ll pass.
You can never join someone....
I’m in the process of removing this shit 💩 right now 😆
