I think people would do better to find social contacts in the area where they currently live. Korea is a closed society, and has been for a very long time. I think there are deep-seeded trust issues with foreigners, especially with the older Korean generations, and having to know all of the gestures, mannerisms, language rules and standards, and look and dress like a model on top of all of that, is just too much to ask of someone.

I live in Australia and I've noticed that some cultures just prefer to stay with their own communities. But yes it's mostly the older generation that are quite reserved. The younger generations are pretty outgoing and friendly

The first SK 🇰🇷 Man ( people ) I ever known is Mr. Kim Taehyung, followed up to 6 of his gorgeous 6 brothers and now countless of Kdrama actors/ actresses I know from the screen 😢😂❤ . Korean's language is freaking HARD to learn, even though I'm a Kdrama addict I would never can speak the simple basic convo 😂 Hope to visit SK one day 🙏🇰🇷❤🤍

A homogeneous society is a happy society! But someone with diverse friends is a wiser person

What is in it for them depends if they horrible at English be a win win to practice learning to speak each others language 😄. Being bilingual make them more money since they can communicate with others especially if they have a job with foriengers? They won't need a translator 😄
