@@georgiamarie_ yeah but you mentioned that as he was underage his father also had to sign off on all those hours and hours of interrogation he suffered as well. I'm not normally one for conspiracies but in this case where there was just so much focus on Tim to the exclusion of everyone else it really does look like some group of people led maybe by the detective were trying to cover it up and decided Tim was to be their scapegoat. Also was there ever any attempt to look at this MO outside of Colorado? Linking nipple removal, genial multilation, red headed women, any of that. Such oddly specific things in this case sound a lot like past cases of interstate serial killers where when the case finally reached the FBI they were able to link several cases together across several states. Maybe that will finally be what sheds some more light on Peggy's case.

As a side note, the bracelet. If Peggy was a drinker, which it seems she went out a lot, but maybe wasn't a heavy or frequent user(?), than "losing" her bracelet and then finding it later is something common with alcohol users. I can see her not reporting it found.
Just some thoughts. Great video, a truly frustrating case.

The police overlook all logical evidence and try desperately to pin it on the "weird creepy kid" from the neighborhood because he lives nearby. They ignore all other logic and evidence to get that conviction, which is eventually overturned, and leaves them looking like idiots because now they've wasted so much time they'll almost certainly never find who actually committed the crime. I was a manager at the Prime Minister Pub and Grille at the time of Peggy's murder. Around 11:15am on the morning after Peggy's sad and ugly death (the hostess had called in sick so I was seating incoming customers), two men entered the building and asked to speak with the manager. I told the men that I was the manager. They asked me to sit with them in the empty bar. I told them I couldn't because I needed to run the host desk. One of the men, said this is far more important than seating customers.
I asked them what this was about. They told me they were detectives in the FoCo police department and they'd tell me in a minute. I had no idea what they were going to tell me. I felt intense nervousness. I said, "You'll need to wait just a minute while I get someone to take my place." Once that was settled, one of the gentleman asked me if I had worked the night before. I hadn't. I actually had just flown in late the night before from visiting my family in another state. I could see that one of the men held photographs in his hands. He handed me one of the pictures and asked me if I recognized the person in the photo. I did. It was a pic of Peggy standing with a horse. I said yes. "Peggy Hettrick. She and her boyfriend, Matt Zoellner, are regular customers. What happened?" She was found dead right across the street, in the field, where one trailer home sat (as I remember it). I gasped. They asked if I thought Matt was capable of killing her. I knew Matt and he was a different kind of person. I said, "I don't think so." Somewhere in that conversation, one of the detectives said that she might have been killed in the Prime Minister parking lot and moved. To say the least, I was freaked out. I couldn't believe it.
This was the first of many visits from the police. I'll add a little more to this after Christmas, as this is not exactly holiday subject matter. I only mention this because I had just this morning come across a story about Peggy, a program which came out in 2020, called Crime Scene Confidential, which I watched. I will add more to this after the holidays. Nannette

seriously I'm not even half way through this video and I already know Tim is innocent. the 'evidence' they have is utter traaaaash. it seems they forgot the person was wearing buisness shoes and the cuts of mutilation were Doctor level skills. let alone the fact they never found the nipple at anypoint, whether with him or in general. im sure the killer kept it as a trophy. i understand the pressure and want to solve her murder as soon as possible. cmon do it right and thoroughly the first time, stop forcing things or using the most outlandish evidence. the tunnel vision some detectives get is crazy, all common sense is thrown out the door..

How can we be sure that the same person that killed her is the one who surgically removed her nipple and performed the genital mutilation? Especially when we know for a fact it was done post mortem.
Just a theory... Let's say Long killed her - in my opinion the murder itself fits his MO the best and any inconsistency could be explained by the fact it was his first kill. To be honest, that doesn't even matter that much, let's just say the killer whoever he is commits the murder. The Doctor sees him dump the body from his window (it's established he had a clear view of the field/dump site) and as a sexual deviant he can't resist the urge to go there. He might have even perceived the situation as somebody leaving an unconscious woman who was assaulted. Whatever the case, he just can't resist the opporunity, it's early morning and he's the only one who knows about her at this point so he goes to the field. He discovers the dead woman and decides to indulge in his sick fantasy.

A good midweek mystery would be the "Most Hated Woman of the 20th Century" aka Madelyn Murray O'Hair. She was the found of the American Atheist Association and was very straight forward. It's sad because if she were a man all the nasty things wouldn't have been said. For those who don't know you definitely should research it.

When I was in 2nd grade I wrote a story book for school. I had just lost my cat so I wrote my book about my cat being hit by a car and me keeping her kittens. My teacher thought it was dark and called my mom. Kids express themselves in different ways then adults. Sometimes those ways come off as dark. But as a kid your not thinking about how something can be seen as dark.

This case is so sad on so many levels... It made me think about all the creepy stuff I (and I'm sure the majority of kids/teenagers) wrote or drew, and how lucky I was that nobody thought much of it back then. This is ridiculous. I wonder what would happen if a true crime fan was investigated in a similar way, and it scares the hell out of me. Aren't we all just a bunch of potential murderers? 🤫

The first rule of both medicine AND law enforcement should be ...DO!...NO!...HARM!...if...a case HAS to go cold, so be it. A grisly crime compounded by the authorities being criminally responsible for framing an almost certainly completely innocent man. This is the kind of case that casts enormous doubt & mistrust in the eyes of the public , the fact that members of law enforcement were willing to go to GREAT lengths to railroad a suspect instead of conducting an honorable investigation and letting the chips fall where they may . SHAMEFULL!

What a waste of his youth and the trauma they caused him cannot be compensated. No amount of money is giving you that time back.

Knife collections, too, are not that weird, maybe this is bc i'm surrounded by many outdoors-y people, but we fucking love knives 😂 Big knife for longer campingtrips, small knife for weekend trips, one knife for cutting fruit, one knife for woodworking, stainless steel knife for rainy days or canoeing trips, and so on.
Tim wasn't suspicious for either of those things, it's literally just being a teenager 🙄
