Bastien sounds nice, he doesn't seem to have that grit or growl in his voice that Austin had in this song, but he can hit those high notes fine and He sounds good with the other guys. Thanks for posting.

I will reserve judgment until the group puts out a new video. It is impossible to judge Bastien fairly when he is thrown directly it to what we all consider Austin's parts and it just doesn't sound right.

I know the camera used to record didn't record the sound very well but how was the sound being there live? It doesn't sound like it was too good. Bastien's mic seems way too quiet and Rob's mic seems way too loud. Hopefully this was just a bad day with the sound system.
It looks like Adam has been with HF since April, or even earlier. He's been a professional for quite some time. A lot to learn and he's doing well.
He's been with home free long before hand idk precisely how long but even before Austin joined.
Not gonna lie…I miss Austin.

In my mind it is now the fundamental ABC, (Adam Rupp, Adam Bastienn, Adam Chance)
I'll give him more of a chance, but I'm not impressed so far.
Horrible sound/recording. You can hear the audience and barely hear Home Free, can't hear the new guy at all. He's a lot weaker vocally than the rest.
Sounding a little flat and monochromatic.
Sound in a tent isn't the best. I'm just happy we got something from their first show with Bastien.
Sound systems in festivals like this are not the best. Great job, Guys!
@@marciag7342 Has nothing to do with the sound system in the tent. I have heard bad video. It's my opinion and it's valid.
@@nanadeborah8717 The venue did not have a good set up for the sound system. I took this video as I knew many would appreciate being able to see it… but enjoying the concert was my priority not the video. 😊

I disagree, he's weak in comparison to the rest, you can barely hear him and he can't belt at all.
@@JulieAnn02261990Agree! He has really hard shoes to fill, & I don’t think he’ll be able to fill Austin’s shoes. He just doesn’t have the look or personality, let alone the singing chops that Austin has. So sad!!!😢
There are big shoes to fill, and he's not even close to Austin.
Home Free has lost their sound.
A few things. Just as when Chance was added, the group makeup is different, and the sound will be different. Different doesn’t mean worse or better - it means not the same. All the songs over past decade were arranged with Austins voice in mind. As new songs are written and arranged, and old ones perhaps slightly revised, with Bastiens voice and strengths in mind, their sound will sync more. Please give the group some grace. By the end of the year, with all the shows they are doing, they will be able to mesh and hone their voices and sound. You are welcome to your opinions, but passing judgement on the basis of one show - the first show - is unfair. It would be like judging a pastry chef on the first time they cater a BBQ. Home Free is entering a new era like they did when Chance joined, and with all that talent and experience it’s going to be glorious. If you decide you don’t like the new sound, at least you have years of recorded music to listen to.

I have to agree. I’ve watched the new video that was just released and while Adam 3 has a nice voice, it just sounds off.
