About the game:
Satisfactory is an upcoming factory simulation game created by Swedish video game developer Coffee Stain Studios. It is a 3D first-person open world exploration and factory building game. The player, a pioneer, is dropped onto an alien planet with a handful of tools and must harvest the planet's natural resources to construct increasingly complex factories for automating all resource needs. The initial goal is to build a space elevator and begin supplying the company the player works for (FICSIT Inc.) with increasingly numerous and complex components for their unknown purposes. Those exports unlock new buildings that make the next export possible.
Satisfactory was made available for early access on 19 March 2019 on the Epic Games Store, and 8 June 2020 on Steam, with cross-platform multiplayer. The factory building aspect of the game has been described as a first-person and 3D version of Factorio. Unlike most other sandbox games like Factorio, the Satisfactory world is pre-generated; every player's map is identical. The game is set on an alien planet named "Massage-2(A-B)b" and the playable area is limited to 30 km2.

You have the perfect setup for a drone distribution centre. One drone port for each material at central storage, all with a drone of it's own just sitting idle. Then when you want to build something somewhere all you need to bring is materials for one drone port (and stuff to power it). Then create a drone route from whatever material you need, wait for a delivery, cancel the route, set up a new route for the next material, get the materials, cancel that route. Rinse and repeat until all needed materials are at the build site.
That's a beauty of an idea that will help me with these massive builds! I was going to build a train line to my next project to bring materials but now I like your drone idea better!
honestly, I love storage setups! its my favorite type of build. one thing I never understood though, is why people use stacks and stacks of storage containers. I would argue one storage container per item should be plenty.
It's more to keep myself prepared for bigger builds so I'm not waiting on anything like motors/concrete/plates etc. however beyond certain items youre right 1 is more than enough lol. I just add so many to make it match 😄

Good stuff. I am or was trying to build power on the same node. At the same time setting up my basic aluminum build. I decided to try to get fancy and go a little vertical with things but am now thinking that might be the problem for tier 2 pipes. I ran everything twice and that is after I made sure of the numbers. Measure twice, cut once sort of thing but more like measured 3 times and cut twice now. And it still fails. I am going to go back and rebuild with no vertical and if that fails yet again convert to more what you have there.
I think honestly the part that upsets me most is I was working on aluminum when I would like pipes fill and when checking and attempting to correct things and the aluminum is working fine. I wasn't even focusing on it, was really more just an aside while trying to fix the fuel plant. And except for one easy to fix slip up it worked out great. Once I do get things cooking I am going to use another of those oil nodes and experiment some. I have gone vertical with tier 2 pipes just never full 600cml pipes. Why can'[t you move full pipes vertical? I might not find out why, but I am going to try to make it work somehow.
Looking forward to the next builds though I will be dropping behind now. I doubt I restart when 1.0 drops. I will just use this save until I am sure things are working in 1.0 based on watching some play. Might even go for end game with this save even if 1.0 comes out.
You do know there are 2 Pure Copper nodes just beyond the 4 Pure Iron nodes you are using for the CO build?
I actually ended up taking copper out of the CO build entirely and it's made from just iron quartz and water!
I'm not sure if this was a good idea but it was fairly simple and clean lol
I really like keeping everything flat it's a very satisfying look but it's getting taxing on my PC the more exposed things I have.
I'm kind of looking forward to a fresh start again hoping it's working good enough on release 😎
