That 6 minute run time on the only mode that matters hit me hard. Cordless tech is not there yet to replace your corded vacuum.

Something must be wrong with your V10? Mine in medium and low work great… lasts 25ish min on medium and around 30 on low. Idk maybe it’s how I vacuum. But yea 5-6min on high but I haven’t found a need for that setting yet to be honest. 🤷🏻♂️
Bruh. You dont need to run it on max. Yoy dont floor your gas pedal on your car when you need to drive somewhere. At most, medium is what u need for everyday cleaning. Low will do it just fine
I know I had the same problem. I live in a 30 sqr house (standard size) I have to recharge it halfway.
So annoying. Buy if you want buy it, please don't complain when your in the same situation as me. We still use our old Miele (light blue colour- cord) now that's functional and practical. My gut instinct said don't buy this cordless purple (barney) vacuum ofcours I went and brought it like an idiot. WISH SONEONE WARNED ME.

Just purchased one for the utility and ease of use vs our plug in upright Dyson. I would never consider this as the main house hold vacuum , especially with carpets , kind of silly.

Good review. I actually found low power mode was great for my Carpets. I haven’t needed to ever use medium or high setting.

I have this exact vacuum. I just quit after almost 3 years. The battery if fine it’s charging and charged, there is no clog the filter is clean. It just won’t turn on .Doubt my next vacuum will be cordless. Too expensive to not last 3 years.

1:09 yes and no. It does come with carbon fibre bristles but its the soft blk strip on the cleaner head. It does absolutely nothing for carpet cleaning. Its main function is for hardfloor cleaning. It removes the static electricity from the harsfloors that xauses the dust to stick onto the flooring then sweeps it up - buffing the floor. Its the red stiff nylon bristles that does the deep carpet cleaning. Also if u wanna kill the battery faster, then yes use max all the time. But at most, medium is what u need for carpet cleaning. Low will do just fine. But max is completely overkill

Do you have issues with your wheels not turning on hard floors and it sounding like it is scratching against them ? I tries to watch your video and it didn't look like yours was spinning either so maybe that is normal...
Hmm. Mine got stuck so had to remove all the lint and hair and use wd40 to lube up the wheels
I mean, it's ery cheaply made, but it works amazing. So whatever, I love it. Got mine for $300 new too lol
Does the V10 has a anti tangle brush so it can pick up animal and human hair, without them being wrapped around the brush roller?
Yes it does works really well.
How's the battery doing after 3 (4 years)?
According to James Dyson, the battery should last 15 years before capacity drops to 80%. Does that look right this far?
Def not. Will prob need a new battery soon. On max lasts like 15 min. I’m glad the newer ones have swappable batteries

The battery capacity reduced a lot so on max mode it’s only like 10-15 min.. more like 10 haha
But on the video you said that in the max mode it lasted you 6 minutes. Here on comments you are saying on max mode it lasts you about 15-10 minutes 🤷🏽♀️
Sorry been a while since I published it. When fresh it lasts 10-15 but due to battery degradation it only lasts 6 minutes
I rather get the Dyson Animal Ball 3 Corded, cheaper and you can do max power as long as you want.

6 minutes is ridiculous for such a costly vacuum...no matter how powerful it is... my cheap version last 25 minutes on full power and it just had power...6 minutes...wow
But how much more suction does your cheap version have? There are multiple settings for power, and obviously using a lower suction will increase the battery life.
But does it actually clean as efficient....come on now we have to user our brains
Ppl seem to get Dyson because it should clean better. Last longer the machine. Be better. Be easier to use. So it might be a health decision. Some people don’t care how deep the clean of dust is. I do and id also love a machine what is way easier to use.

@@cjschmitt4882 I used my dyson on boost on a dusty hallway rug. Went over it until my dyson died. A full 7minutes. Went over it with my shark and got more dirt out then the dyson. Let my dyson charge a full day...Went over rug and no dirt.. used my shark right after and got a half tank full of dirt. I was not impressed with dyson at all. The entire vacuum seems very cheap. Part wobbles around. Plastic all over. However, this was the dyson animal 11 cordless. I have used the full sized that i borrowed from a neighbor. Hers was brand new. I still had potting soil left after several passes.
It seems that all battery powered devices (including cars) suffer the same problem: very limited battery endurance. And in combination with long charging times, I think this technology is not yet mature enough to replace the wired devices.

No mention how it's degraded over 3 years. The title leads you to believe this is what the video is all about... I found my V10 performance degraded considerably over 3 years. Max power setting only lasts now 2 mins.
But getting a new battery would fix that no?

Mine died in 21/2 years with little use. Dyson cost to replace battery “ $ 100.”

You can pick a refurbished V10 Animal + for $250 directly from Dyson. I got one and it looks like new. I thought I wouldn't like the trigger, that you always have to press, but after using it, I think it's fine and it probably really saves battery life. I also think you probably don't need to use max much. I haven't had it long enough to figure out what I don't like. So far it seems great! I do have mostly hardwood and LV and let the Roomba do most of my vacuuming. Heck, the Roomba is so easy to use that my cat ends up vacuuming my sun room half the time. She likes to hit the button and watch it move. I have the self emptying one for most of the house. She leaves that one alone/

This vacuum would last less then my cordless vacuums.
V10 battery died after 21/2 years and minor use. Dyson will send a new battery for $ 100 .totally unsatisfactory. My other dysons have been problem free , this v10 is a real disappointment .plan on returning it to Costco
did costco let you return it?
I wouldn't even consider replacing a high pressure hydraulic brake hose with two pairs of edible panties but a handheld portable vacuum..just maybe.

Its bad quality mine keep having that 'filter is filthy' light on and it won't work. Obviously something broken and it's annoying. Paid top dollar for this. Quality ? The plastic feels cheap . Never again. I'd rather buy what those Koreans are making these days.
