Classic Espio did make a cameo appearance in the Sonic 30th Anniversary Special. He was on the arcade machine of Sonic the Fighters, owned by Classic Eggman.
Knuckles Chaotix was already confirmed to be canon in the "Remember When?" episode of Tailstube, considering IDW is no longer its own separate continuity (backed up by many offical statements and again Tailstube) it was only a matter of time before it would get used.
@@videogollumerI hope it lasts forever, I love how the comic expands and complements the games universe and how it mixes different concepts from different games into one storyline Plus, they already mentioned Tangle in Frontiers, I know that doesn't mean it's too late to turn back since it could be a Sticks situation where they just met off-screen and then had those stories with her on Sonic Channel, but just like with Sticks, meeting Tangle off-screen would also be lame
@@ThisisTheUltimate Frankly, I can't stand the idea of game Eggman being as warped as he is in these comics; nor can I stand the idea of game Sonic being as stupid, negligent, and self-righteous as he has been from Issues 6-55. It's just too big a departure. Also, the problem with the main continuity being THAT multimedia is that both are bound by each other, thus limiting creative freedom. Furthermore, American comics are harder to find in Japan than Japanese manga is in America.
Ironic that in Klonoa Heroes, Guntz had also gone through something like this, , ,only he turned out for the better as he had those who had his back and actually cared.
I find it funny that they reference the "8th emerald" from sonic the fighters(the referenced it by fang saying something about and orange emerald) my head cannon for it (unless this comic or something else confirms what is the 8th) is that its a result of eggman's cloning machine or it's the master emrald or it been retconed of it's existence (and the technical reason is that there's 8 fighters) i just hope that the 8th never canonically never existed because it would be confusing (also this is also head canon but it could be the master emerald as a different color because in encore mode of sonic mania plus *yes encore mode has been confirmed to be cannon* if you fight what would normaly be knuckle's LRZ boss the master emerald is purple, and this could be an error but in sonic R when you collect all chaos emeralds you get a screen with all the emerald but one of them is orange and you don't collect an orange emerald in the game so this could be evidence that choas emerald could change colors too. So the green emerald could be the master emerald and the normally green choas emrald could be the orange one this time or vice versa)
