- We are gonna go over the long and complicated process of producing Balefire from gold in this video. Balefire is an endgame material and essential for obtaining Euphemium. Balefire fuel is also superior compared to most other fuels in the game. So yeah this process might be complicated but it is totally worth it !!

I like the fact that This mod went from small nukes to realistic reactors and you do not just put uranium in a square machine and it turns into power no. You need to place turbines complex reactor multiblocks cooling towers pipes. overall this mod has alot of realism. And i like it

Its 4:35 AM, Im very early, but Im not regretting my life decisions, since now I know how I can produce me some hot, hot, hot balefire! Thanks for this one, I was a bit struggling on the balefire production since I got a bit lazy on exploring HBMs potential.
Now you can fuel those fusion reactors and jetpacks with this balefire and go flying around the villages destroying them with rocket launchers xd

i still remember when i first used this mod the only thing there was a few nukes not even the assembly machine existed
HBMs has become one of the best tech mods both visually and mechanically. The size of most of the machines is pretty realistic unlike the 1x1x1 blocks most tech mods used to have. The best part ... it's still getting updated regularly !!

I think the cooling tower is just a preference based thing , as we can't see the gui it's really hard to determine the difference in speeds between the auxiliary and the big cooling tower. As for the pipes yeah even I wish there was a cover for them or something like that.

Good news is I built it the bad news is i accidentally detonated the little boy in my world and lucky I survived lol I'm not in the base that time I was just mineing and the i accidentally switched to the detonator. Btw the bomb is a design that I armed and it's for muntants safety and titans.

That depends on how many duds you find , and still run the risk of the bomb going off in your face. And I think you can find more gold than Duds in your world.
And the dud can then be used for euphemium production ... But hey that's me if extracting it from dud is your way then all the power to you xd

Yes once you get the process down it is doable tho pretty expensive nonetheless. And the mod you are talking about is the MineMenu mod ... check it out it's pretty cool
how do you craft balefire eggs without getting decimated by radiation?
thanks savage vegeta, but i dont use the rods, the reactor explodes often, but with the cooler and the reasim boilers, it wont blow often
Yeah that's true there aren't many designs which can run the Balefire rods with ease. On the good side tho you can use it to power your fusion reactor or Jetpacks

i know this is off topic but i think hbm should add a switch that activates something manually for example:

well my block concept is that you connect zirnox with switch with special tool and you can control it from far away

Seeing that new blocks and machines for early games are being added in the mod it might be possible that such controller for the reactors is also added , and if it will be that would be pretty cool

Hey can I ask you a Favor on Making a tutorial on Immersive Intelligence an addon for Immersive engineering for 1.12.2 the one thing I really wanna learn about that is the Radar and the Infaired Turret that can Detect Entity's like it's very cool and it Also has Weapons like The Field Artillery which I don't know how to Gain it,Mortar, Artillery Howitzer and Emplacement which a Multiblock and you can Put 6 Different Turrets on it it's Literally Sabotage and Espionage which what it says on the Description of the mod or addon
I'll add it to my to do list bro , and i know immersive intelligence is an amazing mod. I used the howitzer to make villages disappear xd but when I tried it , it was still in development phase and i didn't take a look after that.

Is there any water outlet? I need to quickly and efficiently get rid of wastewater from my cooling tower, because the reactor already has an infinite source of water. (It's a small fission reactor, not an RBMK) It also has easy access to an ocean, so flooding shouldn't be a problem if that happens.
If you are playing on 1.7.10 then you can make a water dumping barrel by placing a heavy infinite water tank in the output side of a barrel and joining your water pipes to it (the last I checked this method was working)

For some reason the cooling towers won't let water out. I have water pipes connected to them, but the water wont come out of it... did I do something wrong?
EDIT: Fixed, I connected both water piped and that fixed it.

They serve an important purpose : they prevent radiation from escaping !!

@@MarImpObsc leaking radiation takes a toll on your fps due to radiation cloud and will give you negative effects tho they won't kill you cause well creative so it's much better to just place them. It also makes the reactor look nice

get a high-level hazmat suit with desh cladding, take rad-x and hold tungsten reachers in your inventory
Yeah as CMB said just get your hands on the best hazmat suit / armor with rad protection along with having fire resistance and rad-x ... would also help if you made an entire platform out of player decontaminator while doing this

It fills up any barrel or tank with water 10 times faster than a normal infinite water tank

The irradiation reactor is really inefficient. Since you're using fast neutrons for irradiation, it's 5 times less efficient. Not to mention the amount of boilers, and even the fuel. Really, a much simpler, cheaper and more efficient setup is to have a single self-igniting rod (MEP being the easiest option) surrounded by 4 moderators with reflectors behind three of them and an irradiation channel behind the fourth. 4 boilers in the corners would then be more than sufficient to operate on even ultra-dense steam. You could also add control rods before the reflectors for power adjustments and emergency shutdown, but that's optional. And, most importantly, despite being smaller and significantly cheaper to build and operate, such a reactor would be 25% more efficient in irradiating gold (100% efficient slow neutrons from 1 rod, over 20% efficient fast neutrons from 4 rods - 1.25 times better)
My variant can, now that I think of it, also serve for depleting flashgold rods at the same time, as long as it's outfitted with control rods (preferably automatic), and maybe trimmed down a reflector or two.
iirc I did mention this in the video but I'll say it again , the purpose of the video was to show the process of obtaining balefire so I didn't really focus on making the most efficient depleting reactor that I could
That said I am not the best person to come up with RBMK designs anyways there are many people like yourself who make much more functional and Awesome designs for the reactor. Also thank you for the design description I'll definitely keep it in mind the next time I need a depleting reactor 😉🤜🏻🤛🏻

Question: how do I make bismuth?
By processing Plutonium 241 waste in SILEX or by breeding it using Bismuth fast breeder rods in an RBMK reactor ... Tho you will need bismuth intially to do that

No you can't as there is no recipe for converting breeding uranium into plutonium using the irradiation channel

Expose them to a neutron source, as soon as their temperature will rise the rods will burn off the xenon that has built up

Yep it should work , all it needs is flux flowing through the irradiation channel to convert gold into its radioactive isotope.
Tbh it'll work better with reasim than with normal breeding reactor as it can be scaled much more

@@SavageVegeta australium and gold are to diferent ores what i mean about mining australium is that with LEA rbmk fuel rod you can get HEA rbmk fuel rod wich then can get au-198 and the reason i thot that was the only way is cuz nei doesn't get every recipie from hbm mod and the irradiation chamber where one of these recipies that nei can't understand
why does my world crash when i run it, i have a strong pc, so why?
i've never faced a crash when the RBMK is operational ... only a drop in fps depending on how big the reactor is

How work automotic bar control
There are two slots for temperature and two for rod level. You need to put in values for what the level of rod should be when your reactor reaches max temperature and what it's level should be when Reactor is at its minimum temperature

The curves are for specifying the relation between temperature and control rod level. You can think of it as on a graph there is temperature on the X axis and Rod level on Y axis. The relations you can choose are Linear , Parabolic and Hyperbolic. There was probably one more but I don't remember exactly

Nah man 1.12.2 version of HBMs isn't as updated as 1.7.10 is ... so I won't be upgrading to 1.12.2 for now. I will only make small tutorials for that version and stick mainly to 1.7.10 for now
