I know lightburn can be used with these lasers If proper steps are followed, but I really would like to see them fully lightburn compatible
Their software UI sure resembles Cricut Design Space. Are the two companies connected?
I'm not sure- I haven't used a Cricut cutter so I can't say. Interesting observation- thanks for sharing.
Seems odd the raster engraving is not bidirectional?
I thought that too- it doesn't seem to add too much time to projects. While the MakeIt software does have routine updates it would be nice to see bi-directional engraving, crosshatch, and offset fill or spiral engraving engraving. Maybe these feature will be added in one the updates. Thanks for watching!
You can still do bidirectional using Lightburn. Earlier versions of the Makeit software had the option for bidirectional and development of that option was stopped. The company claims that they worked on their algorithm to where unidirectional is just a quick as bidirectional was, with less errors.
@@chrluc When I use other brand of laser machines I use bidirectional scan. The WeCreat machine I only use the MakeIt software and just like you said they only offer unidirectional scanning. I spoke directly to WeCreat and they also stated they stopped development on the bidirectional scan method stating it's just as fast and the quality is better. To answer your question I do not run Lightburn software with the laser so I do not run bidirectional scan.
@@thelaserchannel1 WeCreat is a very new company and they don’t have everything completely dialed in just yet. Personally I would rather run unidirectional until they get bidirectional figured out 100%. The little bit of time I could save using bidirectional would go right out the window if I have to do the project all over again because of an error. The growing pains suck, especially when comparing what can be done with other lasers. But the company seems to actually be moving pretty quick on things and they also really listen to their customers, which is a huge benefit.
