He used to come out and pass the ball about with all us youngsters in the front garden. When he moved out i forgot about him until i was collecting panini football stickers and got his one for the st mirren team. I followed his whole career, even at celtic considering i’m a rangers supporter. 😂

I think all of Scotland was, despite to see Paul Lambert lift that Champions League trophy that night. Hand on heart I can say this I expected Juventus to be Champions they looked on paper like they had more quality but in the end Borussia Dortmund did it. And I think all of Scotland cheered that nigh as we seen one of our own lift that European Cup it will live long in my memory personally. Paul Lambert was some player myb not a flash Harry but he always did what he was asked to do well apart from when Dick Advocaat wanted him to be his right back at P.S.V then during that trial his agent turns up & tells him Borussia Dortmund want to sign him with his agent Paul races to Dortmund the rest is history.

Great achievement in getting there & winning the CL obviously but for me if he was top drawer he would’ve been playing at that level for the rest of his career. Proves you can slot someone into a team to do a job & they don’t have to be a superstar.
