Got a 2023 sport. Best decision i made. Ridgeline hands down best truck for daily use.
also have the same one and agree with you
2023 Sport here
great review Ben. I had a black, Black Edition (when they only came in black) and it remains one of my favorites. I traded it for a Gladiator, then a Power Wagon, they a bighorn Ram, and now I think I am going back to a Ridgeline! A white one too...
I have always despised the Honda Ridgeline but these look amazing compared to the old ones.
i wont be in the market for another 5 years but man, the Ridgeline and frontier are killing it 🔥
Just Purchased The same Ridgeline on Fri 2/23, Love It got it for 500 under MSRP from Langdale Honda Valdosta GA, Waited for the 24 update to get the ventilated seats. Moved up from a 2010 F150 with 173k miles. thanks for all your reviews they are very helpful
You told my story. I’ve had my black for not quite a week still on the original tank of gas, we love it ❤💯🌴🏌️♂️😎 ALOHA
ive had a 08 escalade ext, a 08 gmc denali , 2011 chevy silverado couple 07 ridgelines. a chevy s10. and a mighty max. and all of them i prefer a new ridgeline over. im finally settling on a 2024 radiant red black edition ridgeline for my truck now it does everything i need im 30 yrs old i dont need to be flashy i will enjoy this truck for the next 10 years probably until they come out with a new refresh design if its really nice.
theres just something about honda that gets me. its just perfect. i never liked the 2017 body style but once the 2021 came out i said oh wow how can anyone really hate on this i know its not a real truck in certain peoples eyes but for the genuine everyday person its everything we need and more. i will do light off roading to camp sites. regular dump hauls. amongst hauling other things. its just a all around great truck. we arent talking about no offroad ready ford raptor but it will do for 60 percent of people that need a truck.
Wow! Were the spare tyre is stored is revolutionary and should done by more truck manufacturers
only problem is if you have a flat and are hauling a full bed of something, moving etc or just picked up a bunch of mulch .. how you get to the tire..lol minor life problems
@@camiravenmore8940 Damn! Didn't think of it, I'm with time the car companies can work around that
@@d3m1g0d4 i luv the ridgeline and the trunk idea. Also watched where the trunk release would not release, watched a guy break into it, not an easy process. Now however, many can know how to do so. lol
@@camiravenmore8940 Dull if it so easily breaks, but very funny also
@@camiravenmore8940like Chad Haire said, take the spare out before you load the bed. Since it's a space saver (and clean bcuz it's stored), it should fit nicely in the back seat area.
For my needs, particularly its exceptional real world payload, the RL is the benchmark by which I measure other midsize trucks. LOL, yes, it is a truck! ;) Debating whether I would get the TrailSport or the Black Edition. Thanks Ben for another great video that includes the real world payload.
Finally seems like the 2024 US Ridgeline is catching up to the 2017 Canadian model in terms of features! Good for them
Better than a truck. Love mine, just wish it was paid off
Very nice truck. I had considered this last year, but I went with the 2023 Frontier P4X.
I had a 2022 Pro4X and it was a beast. I enjoyed it.
@@sgt.grinch3299got rid of it already? I'm not being an ass but it's crazy that so many people blow through vehicles within a couple years, especially when the pricing and interest rates are so high.
@@sgt.grinch3299 I have a 2021 Frontier Pro4X & am considering getting the Black Edition
Honda will gain market share with this model.
Hoping to see Honda make a full size truck in this coming years
This is the exact one I plan on getting in a few months.
I have a passport and the seats are the best Ive ever sat in and Im 6'6 tall, the bottom of the seats feel an inch or so longer than most seats give my legs better support.
Gonna get a red one black edition love the review
It's a midsized truck it can take you where you need to go
I've got a 2017 and I'm ready for complete new redesign Ridgeline it's been 7 years honda!
Honda is 10-12 years minimum sorry Bub
Let me buy your old one 🤪🤙
They put an addendum on it? I can't find one without at least $3k-$5k of dealer add-ons already stacked on it. Hell no.
Can you another review of this trim only showing how it looks on the inside at dusk, the ambient light is so important to see. I haven’t seen any yet ! Thanks
It’s a truck for a larger city. Easy to drive/park.
I am getting this same truck soon.
I want a trailsport but i also want a plug in bed which is only on black edition. I dont want the gloss black interior of black edition. Bummer.
I have a love-hate with the look of this vehicle. This is a great truck for people who don’t necessarily want a truck
Did they make a total scopic wheel finally
This is what 99% of truck owners need. Just like 99% of families with young children need a minivan but dont realize what they're missing because they think the SUV is more manly. The Ridgeline is very practical and all you need. Most large $70K trucks have a payload once a year, and that's just to haul mulch from Lowes. The piano black on around the middle console/cup holders is wild. That trend has got to go. Couldn't imagine dropping $50K on this as it stands. They need to completely redesign the Ridgeline. Its dated.
How about this? People get to decide what they buy with their money that they earned & how they want to live their life & people like you can decide what you do with your money & your life. Sounds reasonable, right?
I'm not mad at the price. An F-150 is $20k more.
The one thing that I hate about this truck is the silly transmission shifter. It has buttons and anything that spills on it you are screwed. It cannot be replaced nor can it drive again so its better you shut it off before anything worse happens; Overall it is a good vehicle
Silly? perhaps. A breaking hazard? No. Had it in another vehicle and it held up well to kids, coffee, sunroof left open in the rain etc. It’s pretty simple underneath. Just plug and play similar to a power window switch.
The same push button in other Honda/Acura vehicles. Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, Passport.
Keep a bath towel handy if spills are concern.
@@fredmoss4540 I am not refering to the engine start/stop button
@@shaniyoung6506 The push button transmission buttons Park Reverse Drive all shared by othe Hondar Acura Vehicles.
I always have carried a towel in my cars in case of spills.
I’m just here for the bitching about “it’s not a truck!”
(Guess I’ll have to come back later… it will show up
It's an suv
Does this compete with Ranger/Colorado/Tacoma, or with the Maverick/Santa Cruz?
Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma. It's mid-size.
Mine is white.
Good family suv
I purchased a loaded Frontier Pro4X last year and I'm disappointed overall. I really didn't need that level of capability and should have looked at the Ridgeline before pulling the trigger. Now I'm considering trading it for a Black Edition.
Save some money. Just get a Ridgeline RTL.
@@tchall8153 Already got a BE and I love it.
@@tchall8153 There a 4,000 difference from retail and dealers' costs I had rtl ridgeline 2019 and traded in for Black Edition 2024 Honda ran a special price on the Black Edition with 2,500 of sticker check with dealer if they have any. Also, if you trade in go by the Kelly's blue book for trade in value.
I have a 2021 black edition the best reliable truck for me. I am disappointed that this 2024 is basically the same as the 2021 just minimum changes...😮
Accord 4x4 😂😂😂
Earth is flat
Over 350k subs and such a subpar review video.
It’s really a shame. Honda could really be a game changer to the truck market. They focus too much on a niche group of older guys that purchase this. Does what they need & drives like a car. I get it, but at the same time it frustrates me they won’t completely revamp the Ridgeline. They could REALLY give other truck makers a run for money. Especially Toyota.
It's not just for older guys. It's a nice convenient truck with a lot of storage and room if you have kids. Not for offroad but can still do decent off road!
“Japanese EL CAMINO”
$50,000 dollars is the problem.
It’s not a real truck. Just like the ford maverick
It’s a car with a bed.
Your are 100% correct!!
It's the modern day Chevy El Camino.
4 important reasons why the Ridgeline is not a truck #1 - it’s not a body on frame vehicle. #2 - it does not have a solid rear axel. #3 - it does not have 4-wheel drive high or low features. #4 - no off-road goodies available, like skid plates, rear diff lockers, or tow hooks.
Google the true definition of a truck. It has an open bed for the purpose of moving property from location to location. It’s not designed for hardcore off road use. Trailsport does have skid plates. I personally think it’s for aesthetics reasons. It’s a light duty truck but has more capability than a 97 ford ranger.
Any 4-wheeled vehicle without airbrakes is a car, hope this helps. Doesn't matter if it's flat in the back or not.
Edit: It's okay to drive a car, I promise you can base your self-worth on something other than what you spend money on.
@@thisisatestoftheemer I’m talking about pick-up trucks brother
@@patricklong5349 the Ridgeline will never get respect from pick up trucks guys.
😂 So a 2 wheel drive truck isn't a real truck??? I've owned 2 Ridgelines and they're excellent trucks. Blows away the Ranger and Canyon that I previously owned. Best riding truck you can buy, insane amount of storage space and the V6 is very strong and the best you can buy. I load mine up with camping/fishing/hunting gear a tow a 3k lbs boat and get around 17 mpg. My brother-in-law can't get that in his F150 towing the same boat and my buddy's Tacoma doesn't get that empty. The all wheel drive system is amazing and superior in the snow. Yes it's not a hard core off roader rock crawler but it's very smooth on rough terrain with the independent suspension. I've added a lift and bigger tires and you'd be surprised what this thing can do off-road. Hate all you want but the people who own Ridgelines love them.
That is a lot of money for a SUV with a birth defect!
Dumb video. What’s the difference in the BLACK edition?
Ridgeline. A truck for people who don't want a real truck 😂
Unless you're towing/hauling heavy, this is about all the truck most need.
$50,00? might as well get a full size truck...
Maybe a base model full-size truck. This Honda is nicely equipped. A similarly trimmed full-size truck will be $70k.
The Ridgeline is like sending a boy to do a mans job !
This is not a truck!
There he is, 1 hour in and gatekeepers never disappoint 🤣
🙄
It is a truck. Payload 1500. 5000lbs haul. Lol
Trucks are body on frame…
@@pierrep2649 So you guys get badges like real cops or you just police everyone on your own? Just wondering. Stay safe, it's important work.
It's not a truck without a V8.😑
Can't tell if trolling but most trucks don't have a v8 nowadays and midsizers really never did for the most part. Why live life boxing everything into tiny compartments, you only hurt yourself.
I rented a Black Edition on vacation. My goodness was it lame. Honda vehicles are soulless. If you like EVs and underpowered cars than this is the truck for you!
This is not even a truck, it’s just a pilot with a bed. I really hate this “truck”
Best truck I ever owned is a Ridgeline.
Unless you’re towing 5-8000+ pounds on a daily basis you don’t need an f-150 or a ram or a Silverado etc….. this is all the truck you need. TFL ran it through the IKE gauntlet and it did exceptionally well. Watch that and than tell me it’s not a truck.
Ok dude
@toyotahighlanderguy322 - you are 100% correct Sir! This is not a truck at all!
Ridgeline is the best convenient truck. I own a 2018 tacoma. I know what I am talking about and my friend has a f150. He agrees. You guys just hating!
