  • KLF300C Review: We bring you the real world test of a historical atv by Kawasaki. First introduced in 1989 and Kawasaki's only Bayou to take advantage of a dual range transmission was also Kawasaki's first ever 4wd atv offering. Having a 15 year production run, ending in 2004, with very little changes to the quad it goes down in ATV history books as a very capable offering to the off road industry. It was truly one of Kaw's best selling all around 4x4 atv. With full-time 4wd, high torque engine and advanced semi independent rear suspension system is suited to a wide variety of tasks. Front limited slip differential makes steering much lighter and ensures the engines full torque makes it to the ground. Claiming 19.7 horsepower, this atv is capable of everything from Hunting, Farming, Hill Climbing and Trail Riding. Depending on condition, you can pick up one of these rock solid value packed atv's from $1500 to $2500. #atvutvreviews

I agree with your opinion of these machines. A buddy of mine had one when we were growing up. I was riding a Blaster and although the Blaster was faster on the straight and flat, in the woods it was hard to beat the Bayou. Thing was bulletproof and damn reliable. We beat the shit out of it and it just kept on going. It took a lickin' and kept on tickin' thats for sure.

I like old machines that are clean and well kept. That thing seriously looks like new. The Aluminum engine doesn't even have discoloration from mud or dirt. Great find. I have 2 bayous, 220 and 250 2wd units. They're great fun on the trails here in northern WI.

@@knightimusprime25Well, whatever way you want to spin it, the bike was sold to me as a 2005. Everything I have here states it's a 2005, that's what any dealer in the lower 48 would sell it as and that--that. We are talking about comparing oranges to tangerines here !! If it was crated from a factory warehouse as a 2005, sent out and delivered to dealer as an '05 that's good enough for me. In my estimation that should be good enough for anybody--even a future buyer if I would decide to sell, which with my experience and love of running these for better part of 30 years and 1000's upon 1000's of total hours on all my identical model bikes.

Bike was owned by elderly gentleman with only 122 hrs. on it----basically brand new!!!!!!!!! I have a 2" suspension lift, spider trac mudders, a Kimpex exhaust with header, a re-jet kit for carb and a front 2500 lb. winch coming for it. I will do all this for about $3000-$3500. Insane !!!!!!!!!! Best 4-wheeler Kawasaki ever made or any other brand for that matter. These bikes are our tractors on our 5 acre place. Thank's again for great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jim
