36" Angle Tap on 42" Flare Line in BPCL Mumbai

Successfully Executed Biggest Ever Angle Tap in India (36" On 42")
19th June 2015 was a historic day in the field of Hot Tapping Services In India, as Plant-Tech successfully completed 36" Angular Hot Tapping, The biggest ever angular tapping executed in India thus far. Our esteemed Client, M/s Offshore Infrastructre Limited was awarded with LSTK contract of plant turn Around in Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai, which involved several hot tapping works, including this historic job. M/s Offshore offloaded the works of hot tapping to Plant - Tech, A name trusted by most of the petrochemical refineries and fertilizers.
Angle Tapping is not a New Concept in India. In the past various sizes of Angular Hot Tappings have been executed in India by other service providers, and the maximum size executed so far was 24". Very recently Plant - Tech also had Completed a 24" Angle Tap in Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai. However, executing a 36" Angular Tapping was not an easy task and most of the service providers in India clearly ruled out this idea, claiming it as impossible. Plant-Tech who are well known in the Oil & Gas Sector for their innvovative Ideas and challenge taking mindset, accepted this task as a very special one and started their research to develop a Hot Tapping Machine that can successfully complete a 36" Hot Tap. With continuous research and dedicated efforts for 4 months, Plant-Tech indiginiously developed a Hot Tapping Machine and tested it successfully in the month of January 2015.
Evidence of the mock Up Tap was sent to M/s Bharath petroleum Corporation Limited for their evaluation and necessay approvals from their Project Management Consultant M/s Engineers India Limited; After reviewing the same, BPCL and EIL granted us the permission to execute it on live line (42" Flare Gas Header). Plant-Tech created history on 19th June 2015 by achieving something that was outrightly ruled out by the so called experts, giving one more reason to justifythe trust of our valued clients.
