    I love the idea. I love how my Versys sounds with the baffles out but keep them in so I don't annoy the neighbours. Being able to "baffle" the bike at the flick of a switch is an amazing idea.

  • @SSS-mp8th

    Its a slip on with a valve, surprised they require that they install it but then again with the "ecu" for Euro laws perhaps its more involved. The volume won't be dramatic as it's still using the stock cat and headers.

    • @will_on2793
      @will_on2793 Před 2 lety +1

      Bike's don't have more grip, they have less. Cars can handle more braking and acceleration forces without overloading the tyres, but they're heavier so they require more forces to accelerate as fast as a bike which is why bikes are faster. Bikes also have stickier tyres that wear quicker than car tyres, but car tyres usually focus more on lifespan, making them less sticky than the equivalent bike tyre.

    I mean... I am not very fond of overly noisy systems, and was expecting a lot more when open as it seems it becomes a straight open pipe... I like this one as it makes it bassier, but still withing road legal limits. SO it changes the note of the system, without making it a lot louder. Fit and finish is also up there. even so... Too much money just for noise effect.

    Ask any BMW GS owner, and he will tell you that a fancy mechanical valve in an open tube with intense heat and moisture is a failure waiting to happen.
    And once the valve fails, what do you do?...

  • @10secondsrule

    I think royal Jordanian had similar setup on his husky - really loud though. Neat solution but I still don’t get why would you like a loud pipe. It’s just gives you headache and damages your hearing so you need to use earplugs and then you don’t hear much anyway. So it looks like you do it for others - but they think you are a twat… hence I just don’t get it. Nice sound yes, loud sound - what’s the point?

    • @will_on2793
      @will_on2793 Před 2 lety

      You should really be wearing earplugs while riding anyway though, even with a stock exhaust. With a set of reasonable loud pipes mine went from inaudible to a nice level of noise that is perfectly fine even sat on the motorway for hours. It's too loud with no earplugs, but I never ride without them so I don't mind.
