I accidentally played a brown noise play list in my ytp and surprisingly found myself relaxed and not overthinking. I cant back it up with science facts or any proof and im not claiming that it has a real effect but now i always play this when i have anxiety attacks or if i need to focus on doing something.
I’m 45yo, travelled long haul monthly for many years as Dr and could never understand when on a flight I could sail through paperwork/reading etc. when I realised aircraft cabin noise from engines is brown noise, it was big 😮 linking my ADHD
i love this guy i listen to brown noise every night when i sleep and sometimes i accidentally search it on the shorts tab and his lil face always comes up
Ya I have adhd and brown noise is one of the only things that allows me to focus easily and consistently. Normally I have trouble focusing deeply on things and for longer periods of time, but when I listen to brown noise it keeps my mind and attention on the task. It’s very calming. Sometimes it even makes me a little sleepy but not too much.
I forced myself to think of a random though and it happened to be sonic holding a chili dog and the noise did not work, probably because I have so much mental processing power that I can control my blood flow and heat up my body to feverish temperatures at will.
I imagine a black void in a vast dark grey dessert slowly expanding and sand being pulled in and a droning sound of the air being sucked in and your death slowly approaching. You can't move a muscle. This is it. Nowhere to run. Sweet dreams. :)
YESSSSS! LOVE IT!!!! Whenever I need to focus while I'm working at a Starbucks or anywhere that there's noise around me, I put on my headphones and put black noise or brown noise on a CZcams channel and just let it play for hours while I very successfully am able to finally focus and get my work done!! Hope that helps anyone who may not have known the trick and needs it!!!! It's SOOOOO great! For me, it's literally the difference in finishing a job or not being able to work whatsoever!
I does not work that way for me, BUT it is soothing and makes me realize one of the reasons I find it easier to read books on an airplane than in complete silence
It doesn't because I'm having a thought of trying to remember different thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts of thoughts.
White noise but hurts my ear drums a bit eliminates my thoughts and makes me very very sleepy brown Josie softer on the ear drums makes me medium sleepiness elimates half my thoughts pink noise unknown
Best part is that the brown noise is a urban legend that makes you poop. You might be experiencing the placebo effect because you heard that but it just does nothing
Meh, hate ocean, don’t like swimming :) On the contrary, I tried to avoid thoughts about the similarity of this two sounds :D But maybe it will work for most people
That only gave me one more thought, and that one more thought is the sound of the brown noise. It reminds me of being on an airplane is exactly like being on an airplane, so it doesn’t look like anybody.
I can see how hearing the noise can make you focus on just that and not anything else but if you are consciously trying to think of things to prove that you can, you will be able to think of whatever you want
Spotify free (no ads during this podcast) - 12 Hour sound machine has a 12 hour, non looping or fading or broken in anyway brown noise podcast. They have loads of others but they he browns are my go to. Deep brown in particular gives me good bumps each and every time. I have an issue that I can not sleep soundly without it. My best discovery that I’ve since looked into. Hope this helps and least one person.
“Does it work for you?” I wouldn’t say it removes all thoughts. I listen to this while studying, which helps me focus on what I’m reading. It blocks out most environmental noise, and reduces the mental noise to just one persistent replay of Stardust by Gemini Syndrome; this is a significant improvement in my ability to focus! It definitely dramatically reduced my stress as well.
I usually imagine my own voice in my head says no my thoughts back to me. When I tried to formulate a sentence, I would forget whatever word(s) I said before the word I just thought of and my voice wouldn’t say my thoughts. WTF that’s cool!
I love brown noise cause it’s reminds me of the ocean but ocean sounds on like Spotify often have bird noises or people in the background which doesn’t help me shut down but this just sounds like waves ❤
Definitely doesn't help racing thoughts but I do find it to be relaxing. It kinda sounds like when it's very windy outside and it's blowing against the window lol

I love brown noise! It definitely helps me sleep!
Can i get an extended version so i can use it as a weapon for whenever I’m loosing in an argument?
You can search on CZcams. Type "brown noise" and you will get plenty of extremely long videos!
Just look it up on yt there's 10 hour videos of it
There are 10 and 12 hour links here on youtube.
Yes it does work for me. White noise will actually keep me awake and alert. While brown noise soothes mind and helps with sleep.
wow i’m the exact same!
Wow sounds kinda racis-
@IsaiahS world it isnt
No noise makes me sleepy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
it doesn't for me sadly 🥲
It has a little anxiety off to the edge, but still clears my head. It works!
I think the anxiety that comes with these noises is either your a anxious person or its just the noise is alittle intense sounding
Brown noise is the best. I discovered it about 5 years ago and can't sleep without it..
I accidentally played a brown noise play list in my ytp and surprisingly found myself relaxed and not overthinking. I cant back it up with science facts or any proof and im not claiming that it has a real effect but now i always play this when i have anxiety attacks or if i need to focus on doing something.
This just tickles my brain makes me feel not human I can’t think of anything
The moment, when I never have any thoughts, unless it's necessary
At first I thought it was the same sound as if I was on a plane but it actually works for me.
It is a similar sound
@@rahbeeuh No wonder everyone sleeps on a plane
@@idk_smth_ I feel oddly at peace in the airplane apart form the constant frustration of waiting to land.

When I really need to focus on coding, this works like a charm for me!
That moment when you forget that line of code you were gonna write
I listen to this everyday at work for 8-10 hours. I recommend it if you have a job like taxes or coding and you get distracted by music and podcasts.
Brown noise would have given Descartes an identity crisis.
"what if chairs could fly?" A random thought that I'm gonna give to you guys while listening to this wind of a noise
Helps me too, especially when I need to manage my thoughts as I live with bipolar. Grateful to have found it.. ♥️
It sounds like the AC in a crappy motel/hotel room 😂
I mean, it doesn't remove my thoughts but it does make me feel like I'm on a cozy interstellar ship.
I forced myself to think of a random though and it happened to be sonic holding a chili dog and the noise did not work, probably because I have so much mental processing power that I can control my blood flow and heat up my body to feverish temperatures at will.
That’s just being hot headed, not a special power just a sign of emotion instability. Work on that

It sounds more to me like being underwater, tumbling over and over in a rolling surf, unable to stabilize long enough to figure out which way is up.
This should made mandatory during presidential debates. 🤣
