It all started with BabyMetal and now I’m finding other great jaoanese band. It’s seem they all have top notch musician lol. It’s now on my bucket list to travel to Japan and watch a concert. I totally agree with you buddy, they are the best of the best no other has accomplished what they have done. They are in whole different level and caliber. In my opinion, Lovebites is number one in all categories of rock/metal. Miyako is so freaking versatile, I’ve seen her on the bass and the drums. She reminds me of Yngwie Malmsteen on his rising force debut album he produced recorded and played all the instruments on it during the recording

Not from Japan, but I love so much Lovebites. Miyako the guitarist and the pianist, is pure "Magic" talent. She can play guitar and piano at the same time.. And still harmonizing with Midori. That's right Kells, these girls are fantastic! They bring back old school Metal and Rock like no one else. Every single member of this band is a master at their instruments. Miyako (guitar/piano) is the one writing most of the stuff too (all of the band participates in the process though). Try Edge of the World, Break the Wall, Epilogue, all Live. you can pull up the lyrics for most of these songs online - or buy the' awakening from abyss' cd and they are all in the inner booklet inside with some great comments by each member.this cd along with ' clockwork immortality' and ' electric pentagram are just 3 of the MOST epic albums ever produced. hours of fun kids ! get all of them as stocking stuffers. oh yeah and the ep 'battle against damnation' too.
I'll be honest, I find that most times when I listen to a song for the first time, I have a hard time picking up the lyrics... that's from any band, not just Lovebites. If you have the lyrics available while you listen it definitely helps. They're such a great band musically but they have some amazing lyrics, too! I don't think you've checked out Edge of the World (Live) yet, but that one has subtitles/closed captions, has great lyrics and also features several styles of rock all in one song! It's awesome.
It looks as if Miyako has her Dean Icon tuned to drop D. As she is playing the keboards with her right hand she is playing power chords with her left to back up Midori's solo..
Miho, the bass player has a collection of, I think well over 250+ t-shirts of heavy metal bands, mostly European and US bands and is rarely seen without one on. There is an image on social media somewhere showing part of her collection all neatly folded. Her bandmates say that she is the real metalhead in rhe band and and give her some of the rarer t-shirts as birthday presents. During lockdown in Japan she said she ordered many more t-shirts online. Miho also drinks Iron Maiden branded beer. Asami the vocalist studied singing in the States (in California I think) for a least two years, Midori speas quite good English and Miho can hold her own. Miyako speaks English with a beautiful accent but seems reluctant to speak very much. I don't know about Haruna the drummer's linguistic ability.

Lovebites are to me currently the best band on planet. I've listened to all their albums and EP's and this live stream. This video is from that live stream. Listen to their ballad, one of the best made called Epilogue. Also, watch Signs of Deliverance, where they go out on a cat walk, do a wicked dual guitar play, then flip into overhand tapping in perfect harmony, then back to dual guitars. I actually seen a reactor or two say on several videos that they are a ripoff and waste of time. Anyone who has a smidgen of knowledge about rock in general and even have no clue how to play any instrument or listen to rap, hip-hop and pop only, understand how great they are. They take the best 10-15 bands and another 5-6 greatest guitar players, incorporate it, make it their own, add things and have the best transitions in a rock band that I've heard song after song. To add to those mentioning some great guitar players, Miyako (the one playing keyboards and guitar simultaneously) draws a lot of inspiration from Gary Moore. And Midori has some Yngwie Malmsteen technique there too. These Japanese all female and mixed bands are just on another level. To round up my top 7 worldwide rock bands would be: Band-Maid, Nemophila, Scandal, BabyMetal, Unlucky Morpheus and Aldious, and in top 20 Asterism, Mary's Blood, Wagakki Band and One Ok Rock. And this just the list of currently active bands. If I go onto disbanded or inactive ... oh boy :) Then you also have Visual Kei. Great reaction, keep it up!

I really like the band, but what gets me is that I don't know what she is saying even tho it's in English, so you are not alone on this. Btw, lovebites is more of 80's style hair metal fusion with modern metal. If you want to say one of the best rock, I would fit Band-Maid in that category. You should check out their song Black Hole and Different.

You must of completely took that the wrong way. I absolutely love them. I've reacted to a bunch of their videos. I'm just a bit thick headed and have trouble understanding. Never has it affected my love for the music though
