- Enable AUX-IN audio source in your Audi car with MMI 3G system (Multimedia Interface). Line input will let you connect any audio source to your car stereo, e.g. MP3 player, mobile phone, portable DVD player, iPad, bluetooth receiver...
This feature requires additional wiring, coding and most likely additional module. Please check details at mr-fix.info/ - we will post more information as soon as we know more about adding AUX input to MMI 3G.

It should not be this hard to have bluetooth audio when you've brought an audi 😭😂
That’s the thing with complex systems. It take a long time to develop and when they started designing it Bluetooth music streaming was not a popular thing yet. MMI 3G+ has it.

Para entrar y activar el auxiliar tiene que ser con la pantalla original del Q7 de 2010, es que he puesto una pantalla de 10" y una caja aux. De fibra pero no aparece en el cuadro de mando y me ha dicho que debo abrirlo en el menú de ingenieria

@@gortexovercoat Yeha they bluetooth for making phone calls but it doesn't automatically then let you play music. You have to hack into the car system to somehow turn it on 🙃

AUX is an universal analog standard and there's no compatibility modes etc. If you have any problems with the cable that you bought, you should contact the seller.

Hi i have audi q5 2011, trying to connect the AMI through usb or 3.5mm jack AMI cable, the AUX is active but no sound coming out. do i need to enable the AUX in first?

How do you get into that diagnostic thing? Do you need to press something together or at the same time?
You'll need an obdeleven diagnostic tool then change the values on mmi. Google Audi mmi green menu unlock

As long as you have MMI 3G system, then you can use this video.
If you have a facelift console with different buttons, then use MENU instead of SETUP to access hidden green menu.

Check if it's not locked. You will need a diagnostic tool for that to check/change one of the stored values in the MMI headunit.

I held car and setup for few seconds and all electronics on the car stopped working.... MMI said please start engine within 3 mins, took the key out and after that nothing

When playing the radio, how to do I get the MMI display to show the artist and song title? I want this setting to be the default when I select the "radio" button. I know how to get it to display that manually by selecting the "function" button and then selecting "radio text", but I want it to display this setting every time I switch to the radio using the "radio" button. Currently, when I select the "radio" button, only the stations are displayed on the MMI screen. Thank you again for all of your great information!Kim

mr-fix pytanie...nie rozwiązane dotąd przez nikogo...audi a5 z mmi 3g high...mam w opcjach źródła wybór AUX...i po podłączeniu roznymi kablami jack-jack NIE DZIAŁA...przypuszczam ze mam ten aux uszkodzony...można to jakos sprawdzić ? jesli mam możliwość wyboru AUX w normalnym menu to znaczy ze na pewno jest odblokowany w głębokim- zielonym menu ? czy to dwie osdobne rzeczy są? potrafisz pomóc ?
Stawiałbym na rozłączoną wiązkę kabla AUX.

Rozebrać, śledzić kabel i sprawdzić czy jest podpięty.
mr-fix wiązka sprawdzona przez speców od elektroniki samochodowej. Wszystko jest podłączone. Jest też poprawnie zakodowana. I NIE DZIAŁA. Co może być tego przyczyną...? Kiedyś miałem wgrywany jezyk PL do MMI...może tu tkwi jakaś przyczyna ? Nikt nie może tego rozgryźć.

I have an audi a4 b8 2014 , and I see that I can connect my phone just for handsfree phone talking but it does not have bluetooth audio source . Can this be activated from the green menu?

Sure, but i cant control the sounds by the car. I only can use the phone in order to stop/play next/back.

That's AUX, this is how it works everywhere. It's analog audio input and there's no communication form car to the music device.

Then (if you have MMI 2G or 3G) please follow tutorials about enabling hidden menu with VCDS in your navigation system.

i have an audi concert which comes with an AMI (not a MMI) and this green menu thing is not even exist
AMI (Audi Music Interface) is an optional extension for both MMI and Audi Concert systems.
Audi Concert and Audi MMI are two separate systems that have similar user interface but are very different at the core.

Hello I have an Audi A6 2008 and I think the artist and title only come automatically if the radio station publish and release them on air. You cannot guess it if the information is not there available on air

maybe you'll need a ami mmi bluetooth adapter for audi.. look for it at aliexpress
Is it normal for my phone to receive intermittent charging when plugged in to here using USB ami connection
Try with a different USB cable and check if the charing port in your phone is not clogged with something.

I dont got a OBD to enable the green screen and whrn i use the button "car and setting together" i get the notification of : there is no setup possible for the carmenu.
I believe that you need to enable the menu with diagnostic tool (like OBDeleven or VCDS) to access the menu.
Still struggle to activate hidden “green menu”. My A4 B8.5 2012 MMI 3G has less buttons on central pedestal to start with. All similar tutorials I’ve seen on this topic are about pre-facelift Audi.

if you have MMI 3G (not 2G or other system),
if you don't the the hidden menu locked by dealer,
if you are pressing buttons in correct order.
I have done the same but i select aux and play music on my phone and no sound, i have checked the cable on other devices and it's working.

You need extra Bluetooth connection to the aux. normal Audi MMI 3g Bluetooth don’t play music only call making

You need either VCDS to unlock it, or an SD Card script. I’ve just bought and used an SD Card script, worked a treat for me

Mine has option to connect aux, problem is where the hell is the connector? I don’t see it, I checked the back and nothing just the amp and DVD player from factory

Jeżeli dobrze pamiętam, to w MMI 3G, aby puszczam muzykę z bluetooth trzeba była właśnie dodatkowego sprzętu do AMI.
Rozmowy (HPF) oraz przesyłanie dźwięku wysokiej jakości (A2DP) to dwa osobne profile bluetooth i bardzo często działa tylko ten pierwszy.

I have a 64 plate audi a4 with no AUX and the Bluetooth doesn't allow ext media. Like seriously Audi??
Yeah I had a 61 plate that had Bluetooth Audio just crashed it and wrote off so downgraded to a 2009 Audi A5 and it connects phone calls but not Audio so annoying no AUX
You can buy a “transmitter adapter” and do it al from that
Hands-free profile (HFP) and music streaming (A2DP) are two separate bluetooth protocols. In Mmi 3G the first is supported, second one not.

1. have mmi 3g system,
2. have the hidden menu enabled with diagnsotic tool,
3. pressed button in correct order?
I have a q5 2012 as well have you gotten it to work?
