This week we're at the Cité Universitaire on the southern edge of Paris, to learn why France is one of the top destinations for students from around the world. The quality of teaching and its comparative low cost make the country a top choice - especially thanks to the Erasmus programme, a Europe-wide study abroad and exchange programme that's celebrating its 30th anniversary. Also, from jungle to university: we meet refugees who are continuing their education in Lille.

I'm still dreaming of studying/living in France. That's been my vision since 2017. But I had to get and done finish law school in my country. I just graduated July of this year. I want to apply for a place in a Masters program and study under a scholarship. I will start applying soon and hopefully get there in 2022.

For those who planned to study in France. The universities will not "give" you your diploma. You will have to work to pass the exams.
I met many foreign students who failed because they thought the harder part was the registration.
=> I'm not talking about year or semester exchanges, Erasmus or things like that : I don't know anything about those programs.

Lol. I have lived in England since I was 7. I am 17 now and although it would make sense for me to go to a British university. I don't want to, firstly because I have a lot of family in France. Second, I want to experience another place. Thirdly, I am quite advanced in my french learning but not quite fluent. Lastly British uni is expensive.
