For everyone who doesn't realise what they do- this is in reverse- they film a fairly decent car, throw a bit of paint over it to try to make it look good, then actually destroy the car, pour acid on the paint to get the rust going, probably pour petrol on the body and light it too so it looks like it's been in a fire but the engine and interior are all fine, smash the windows, put trash in it- let it sit for a few months etc. Then present bit's and bob's of a 'restoration'. But think about it, the interior, the wiring loom, all the electrics - all that which is destroyed. Where do they get the new parts from? They don't. That's why it cuts to putting the seats back in. That's why the paint looks dull and rough on the 'finished' car, because it's filmed before they wreck it. Look at the tail lights- full of dirt, no reverse lights, it runs like a banger. You see dents on the door etc. Just pure fakery to get views.

If you watch on pc fullscreen you'll see when they cut to the "painted" body, the video quality goes back to CCTV style to hide the absence of their previous "work". Also the car is still full of dents and paint errors (for example on the front left wing above the headlights, on the right side doors ect.). At the end of the video, I see that there is a very new quality and environmental hygiene inspection stamp. Verification is very rigorous for a vehicle. You have to appreciate this for what it is. A bunch of guys from Southeast Asia have a rusted hulk of a Benz that probably is worth less than a $100 to a junkyard. They ask themselves, “How can we turn this into a profit opportunity?” They hit upon the idea of faking a disassembly and restoration that would be filmed for CZcams, garner millions of views, and earning them ad money. Not the mechanical skill level to take apart and assemble a Benz with a little toolkit, but still entrepreneurial skill that has to be applauded. Making the most of what you’ve got at hand.

Amazing how all the windows are broken out, the entire body is destroyed with holes and rust, yet there's no rips in the interior and no rust inside the car and the engine is all intact including a battery! Where's the footage showing the actual restoration, not just some dudes doing body work? Like fixing the wiring, the motor, the hundreds of electrical issues, installing all new glass and headlights and taillights etc? I don't know what's going on in this video but it sure isn't a car restoration. Also for future fake vids, here's a pro tip: Seats and the dash parts like stereo need to be bolted down, you don't just set them in place.
Yes, he initially had the car like the shape at the end of the video but in reality he smashed it and covered it with rust like painting. Then he acted like he just randomly found by the side of the road and he was fake restoring it. He made such a poor job, even the tyres weren't deflated at the beginning.
this is definitely a hoax!!! they did not restore anything. they first drove a black car, then doused it with some paint and paint, broke out the windows and dismantled it in front of the camera. restoration of the door is a separate topic, it has nothing to do with this car

17 years ago, I bought used a 1985 190E in Hyannis, Ma. It had 160K , it had been garaged life long in Chatham on Cape Cod. It was a special order car from Mercedes Benz of Hyannis. Somebody with ton of money ordered this car special. I don't have previous owner info. All options from Germany were incorporated in this car including the rare body color, a light metallic gold, a burgundy red interior. No rust, no dents, mint interior! The 4 cylinder burned oil executively, so bad so, I had to keep replacing spark plugs every 1000 miles in order stay firing on all 4. This car , in spite of a need for engine overhaul, was a great driving experience....Later, I drove for 3 years the 1987 300D, the fastest production diesel in 1986-87, a 6 cylinder turbo, produced from MB in 126 and 124 cars, only 2 years .
@@uzkniso88 also the proof is in the over spray on the front tire at 1:16 and 34:20...It was barely running and they scrapped the living shit out of it... Poor w201.
Holy crap! These guys just might be some kind of restoration whisperers. I mean I was a little puzzled why the seats weren't cleaned but wow, that thing looked like it was ready for the crusher. No hesitation, just dug right in and made, if not perfect, a presentable car and with a lot of pretty basic tools. Unreal.
Impressed with what they accomplished. Imagine if they had access to a sandblaster, safety googles, impact wrench, and work boots. I cringed with some of the welding practices. Really, amazed with outcome with limited resources. Cheers.
The guys must have photographic memory, taking everything apart without labelling which part goes where, which bolt goes into which hole, and get them all back together again!
So good that they have also restored the two old stickers on the lower front window ... They appear the same both before 4:23 and after the magical restoration 35:28 and 35:59. ...

This is reversed, look at the windshield stickers (4:21) from when it was cracked and after they "restored" it (41:17). They're the same.
Yeah, i qaa wondering the same specially with the same car registration no.
No way man. He repaired that glass! That's how good he is. Ha!! Anyone that bought into this is an idiot or in full blown dementia.
Похоже на постановочное видео детали которые по внешнему виду мерина должны быль струхнуть очень даже живые особенно солон и неукраденые магнитофоны.

Amazing. What some hard work can pull off. Its really just work. With the time and resources this can be done by anyone who really wants to and applies themselves.

Các phần tháo lắp bộ số họ làm rất kỹ, ko phải cầm tô vit đục đục rồi cạy cạy làm hỏng mép tiếp giáp, vỏ ngoài rỉ bẩn họ ngâm dung dịch làm sạch sơ chứ ko dùng máy mài đánh rỉ làm mất lớp sần của nhôm zin. Nói chung rất khâm phục các bạn. Nhưng vẫn phải làm cho chuyên nghiệp.

100 working hours for a door
20 hours for the rest of the car😂😂😂😂
Shameless
The tyres had just enough air to go on the recovery truck, none of the wheels sized looks staged, but still a great work
На мой взгляд это чистая правда.
Вдохнули вторую жизнь в авто.

He made such a poor job, even the tyres weren't deflated at the beginning.
they live in GTA world where u place a cheat and everyting will back to normal
this is definitely a hoax!!! they did not restore anything. they first drove a black car, then doused it with some paint and paint, broke out the windows and dismantled it in front of the camera. restoration of the door is a separate topic, it has nothing to do with this car
These kind of channels never restore anything, it is all staged. Really don't undestand why the algorithym recommends these fake videos and gets them millions of views.
Bit worried about the welding , shouldn’t weld over top , always cut out .
Các bạn rất giỏi và tài năng nhưng lúc thử xe trong làng đừng lái nhanh quá vậy nhé. Nguy hiểm lắm!
The fact that they got all the time in the world to restore a whole car...is impressive
He just destroyed his car and recorded the end before it😂👌

The rust eats everything..it is impossible to renew this vehicle
it is not rust but rust effect paint
Nothing is impossible, If it comes down to it cutting out and replacing large sections of a car is entirely possible.
Not at all, everything's a question of time and money.
The rust especially eats the plastic bumpers...
@@nicdig6686 they just grinded off the paint and used so sort of harsh liquid to rust it. If the car was that rusty and not from that then it would've destroyed the whole car, not just the paint and somehow plastic bumpers
37:59
Adding to all the trickery theories...The sticker on the windshield is worn out.
Kudos to the channel for tricking millions of people into watching a 45 minute long video.
At the beginning of the video it does have a sunroof! Older Mercedes has the metal sunroof and not the new sunroof that has the glass!

Car looks very good.
You should make 3 videos of this entire restoration, please include the engine rebuild and more. 45minutes x 3 videos.

"Okay... here we go again... from first"

The most hilarious part of this "restoration" is that he wore a mask outside by himself while taking it apart then drove like he did on the scariest streets in the world. I love it

Fa nu poco skif’ ma considerando i mezzi a disposizione ottimo lavoro😜👏👍
37:13 Wow! Restored the old sticker also! Great work!
4:19 thanks man. I thought this is sketchy and this proves that it is fake
@@uzkniso88 also the proof is in the over spray on the front tire at 1:16 and 34:20...It was barely running and they scrapped the living shit out of it... Poor w201.
Oogghhh... My life needs that kind of a restoration :D
You gave this merc a second chance at life, haha, nice work!
