    More about me:
When I was 20 years old, I dropped out of college and said to myself that I will do what I really want and what I see meaning in. So I decided to build my dream log cabin, all by myself, in the middle of an off-grid bush.
After I left school, I went to work for a while to earn money for trees and hand tools. I spent all the money I earned and my savings on it. Thank God, I already owned the land I have - I got it from my dear parents as a gift and I also bought another part of the land with my own money.
I chose a log cabin for my home because I like it. I build it with the vision of living a simple and peaceful life in it. Having time is more important to me than having money. Of course, nowadays a person cannot live without money, but I would like to live in such a way that my expenses are not so high and thus reduce the need for money. I want to have time not only for myself, but also for my future wife and children. That's why I will try to build the most self-sufficient life possible, in which my own housing, in my case a log cabin, will be the heart of this system.
I chose the traditional method of building - using only hand tools because they are my favorite. There is beauty in simplicity.
Working with hand tools has several advantages: You are able to work off-grid, the entire set of tools you need can fit in one bag, there is better safety when you work alone, you don´t make too much noise when you´re working... so I enjoy it more and I believe you will too, while watching :)
My dear father is a carpenter. I remember that most of the things he taught me while working with wood were precisely while working with hand tools, which required the most attention and practice from me.
My father taught me how to work with wood from a young age, but I have no experience with building a log cabin, so I'm learning everything as I go, and I'm looking forward to what this experience will teach me.
It may not seem like it, but it was a big struggle to get this opportunity to be able to work on my dream, but I finally did it and for that I am incredibly grateful. I also started this CZcams channel where I share my entire journey, so if you are interested, you can check it out. There is no one behind the camera, so I do all the filming and editing myself. I would also be very grateful if you would support my journey by subscribing or sharing, if you want to.
Thank you for being here, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you're watching. I will try to make videos as best as I can, so that you get the greatest enjoyment from them.
Thank you all for your attention. Enjoy!

I've seen people use "French carpentry axes" with their slightly offset blades to do exactly what you showed in this video.
The wider, thinner blades allows to get close to the wood when smoothing out the split surfaces of logs. You might look
into getting one to help speed up your hand-tool only job of splitting and hand planing your wood. If only more viewers
knew how difficult the editing is on a synced to music video they would appreciate the musical/hammering part a whole
lot more. You did a almost perfect job so many thumbs up to you. Can't wait to see what other tricks you have up your
sleeves. Also been meaning to ask you what method you are going to use to anchor the wood to the cement pillars but I
guess I'll have to wait and see in a later video. Curious, Me southern AZ. (USA)

Quality stuff. Great skills, simple in a way but not so simple that many people know them. Plenty of physical work but worth it for the result and hard work has its own reward. It's all very interesting. Best wishes with the ongoing project.
