SMRT TEL Turn Back at TE22 Gardens by the Bay via Pocket Track

Short cab ride from TE20 Marina Bay to TE22 Gardens by the Bay and return to Marina Bay passing through the pocket track at Gardens by the Bay with super clear announcement.

Why doesn't the train use the sidings to switch to the other track when approaching gardens by the bay?

There’s a dedicated turnout for trains approaching Gardens by the Bay, hence no need to change via siding.
