- The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will bring residents in the east and along the North-South Corridor closer to a train station and hence giving them faster access to the city.
Commuters will enjoy a 35-minute journey from Woodlands South to Orchard on the TEL, compared to a 50-minute journey by bus and MRT today.

Didn't the LTA say that they might let the TEL take over the Changi branch on the EW line? like how are they even going to fit the trains?
Exactly, They could have just extended the tel to Changi Airport and make it a interchange instead of the tel taking over the Changi Branch. Btw thanks for commenting!

@@plex6115 Tbh when I first heard this I was wondering how the TEL would go overground for the short sector of the current CGL. It just doesnt look the same and if they really cannot do it, moving the whole thing underground is gonna take a lot of work...
