Seeing the before photos, it looked so creepy and old. The husband really has some good skills :) good job!
Thanks HGTV for featuring our apartment! What a lovely crew.
May I know for the large windows, you have already got the Building Department approval before installation ? How do you got the large windows to get into the house ?
Illusion of space? what the fuck?
how about make more money and afford a bigger space? fuck illusions
commoners
I absolutely love your flat/apartment. It's so compact, yet liveable.
Terry Baby it’s trash what are you talking about
mt89: I gather your opinion differs to mine. That's okay. it's horses for courses.
Just as a matter of interest, do you think MacMansions are the acme of home design?
I love seeing people from HK. You never know what international combo you’ll get. My sister in law is mixed heritage of Irish/Chinese Canadian with her Maori husband. Her brother is married to a French woman. It’s so exciting.
I can not even hate off this couple this place looks great after a long day of work simple and easy to clean. LOVE IT!
Very nice. But for the herb garden open window. Watch the kids. Hopefully you put something there so when they get to climbing and exploring they don't fall out.
I thought the exact same thing. I mean how many toddlers have gotten a chair to stand on the lean out...omg it doesn't bear thinking. They were so high up. I can understand the large windows to allow light to flow but didn't get the frames for the views idea...what views? Not for me but the flat made excellent use of the space... it was lovely.
Love this place but that open window...I thought the same thing. Perhaps they can put clear barrier.
Thanks for the lovely comment. Don't worry we have child proof locks installed.
I was more concerned with the bathroom window having no covering.
you right, and I am sure if there was a low income family living in a apartment they send Family Child Protection.
I'd be interested to see how they adapt to fit in sleeping for an extra child. I'm sure the skills are there - it's a lovely space!
I wonder if they would put an extra bedroom somehow, or if they would put bunk beds in there... Would be an interesting follow up indeed !
I like the concept of making the windows multi-functional to become framed art. The whole space is bright, simple and very functional. Truly inspiring for small space!
This apartment is awesome! Loved it!
The best small apartment i ve seen here in CZcams!!!!! Lovely!
Love it. Including the green couches and pillows! Beautiful contrast against all the white.
The best creation here is their daughter. She is so beautiful and like a ray of sun! So bright and smiley!
lovely flat for a lovely family. Enjoy it and tnx for ideas.
2:04 Those windows are amazing.
The best thing it's have many natural light. Almost have 3 free-wall, the wall not close to neighbour house so it's have big window. It's make the house so ALIVE! You can have the sun, the wind, the light reach to your place.
It's well design but this is not small apartment. It's have decent size, just saying.
It's big for Hong Kong, but lots of people in other places would consider it very small indeed for a family of 4. Like in the USA average apartment size is around 800-900 sq ft. (And the houses are huge.)
he was my colleague. Christian is a good architect.
I love the yellow-green jeans. So chic.
This lookd like a haunted house that got a full exorcism and renovated
I think the space is beautiful. Good job.
This is so beautiful !!! I love it !!!
would love to see how this has transformed over the past couple years with their child getting older... I am hoping for a swing.
Congratulations! Very clever place and furniture )) Will keep in mind for my future apartment.
Such a pretty house!

Amazing!!!
Beautiful 🙂
lovely family. four hundred fifty feet in Hong Kong, they probably bought it as they were free to renovate it but if they were renting, it'd probably cost $5,000 per month. I like it.
noviceprepper53 $5,000? Seriously?
A nice place and design. The window is overlapped when open. How to clean it?
Amazing i wanna this type of home
Beautiful and Stylish
The question is when are we going to see a solid simple Murphy bed in ikea ?
That simple white with bookshelve Murphy bed is sth i would like to buy.
Well done 👍
Nice space
wow... creative
another awesome example of husband-did-it-all.. ◡̈
It ain't that small, but what he did with the apartment is terrific! I loved the lots of light and the window panes. And the living area and the kitchen. The bedroom looked a bit dull, though but nevertheless this is by far the proyect I liked most of all I've seen so far!
In vehicles like RV or trailer, having "integrated" fridge is understandable since it's the standard and space is premium. But in a house, will it becomes a problem later when the fridge getting old, because sometimes they leak? And what if you need to repair the fridge? Also how about the ventilation space?
Nice video
Nice house
Its nice
My googness que HERMOSURA😱
Quê família linda, e o apê também 👏👏👏👍👍
Is this glass unbreakable?
Can anyone tell
So where is the room for the second baby? Update please.
Such a great design. But is it safe to put a murphy bed on the only space where your child plays ?
My husband.. i need this! Hahah
You mean I need this husband ha ha
I like
Wow...
Please show the sizes in square meters and feet, big part of the viewers would respect that.
Its not small its huge at 450 sq ft!!! Its not a typical apt in hk. The transformation of this apt is very creative and functionable too..👌
This is located in which part of Hong Kong? Kowloon?
Great
His wife is beautiful
3:11 Walah he said
wawww its small one but he seem look big a spece gongratulation
Windows should have some type of safety screen.
"i can't wait to see the next small space"
nice
Very subtle but I can't help but notice the host asked the wife if she is happy with her kitchen after she said that they plant the herbs because the husband is a great cook and herbs are expensive in HK. She then had to say again that she is happy with the kitchen even though she does not use it a lot and the husband is the cook. :(
waou !
सुंदर आणि सुरेख आखणी आहे. 👌
Cleaning the glass must be a NIGHTMARE!
Didn't see any blinds or curtains. It's like a free show for the neighbours
im sure the windows are tinted. cant seen from the outside only from inside
True
@@LVdatuko87 Hopefully.
particularly that bathroom window.
Hello, I have a doubt. :D
Where is the wardrobe's kid?
Between the 2 rooms
Privacy is my concern, I can see no curtains.
I have trouble understanding some of the comments about the space or the windows.
The point of the video is to show how one can optimize small spaces through an example, and why not teach your children to not play with/arounds the windows because it's dangerous? Kids aren't stupid, if rules are properly explained to them, they'll understand. No need to whine about an issue that can be settled lol
In Hong Kong this is big
wow :)
Beautiful house, but won't the upcoming baby render the house not so suitable?
just wondering, only one bathroom? and its in their masterbedroom?
why would you need more than one bathroom? But you're right it should be accessible from one of the other rooms. You don't want your kids to disturb your sleep/sex every time they have to pee.
Better have excellent digestion if you have your toilet that close to your bedroom
All that glass needs to be kept cleaned...
Did I only see 1 bathroom? Does that mean guests would have to walk through the masters suite to use it?
Clement Lee no, because you won't ever have guests.
This space works because they have toddlers. They won't be able to stay in this place for longer than 2-3 years.
It's a 450 square foot 2-bedroom apartment, and THAT'S your comment?
I know what u trying to point out..apparently maybe the answer is yes.
Well, more than 1 bathroom wouldn't be practical in a space that small. What would bother me about the bathroom as a guest is the glass wall. And then they put the curtain on the outside of the room, seriously?
But it's awkward that the only bathroom in the house is in the parents' bedroom. What if the daughter needs to pee in the middle of the night and the parents are... uh.. busy.
Also, the glass bathroom wall might make shy guests a bit nervous. This apartment wouldn't work for everybody, but it fits this family just fine.
Agree.. just have 1 bathroom
daaaaang
Beautiful transformation, however 😱It REALLY Freaks me Out their Children have easy access to those Huge Windows: No Safety Barriers😮😨😵
It's a norm in HK, kids are often living 30~60 floors up and having a balcony is common so you have to educate your kids with common sense.
Interesting approach, but no safe for children
No cat safe also:)
